U
Hole #1 Brewster opens with a hole designed to attack, with caution. From the Gold & Blue tees, most players will look to throw a shot with a gentle left to right turn. With a tree to the left and right of the basket, most shots that land left or long will have an obstructed putt, while the pin is easy to attack from any shot landing short.
U
Hole #2
OB – Rock wall, right side
The second hole is one of the most difficult as players are asked to throw for both distance and accuracy. While a birdie 3 is certainly attainable, golfers must be careful of the OB running up the right side of the hole which is in play on almost every shot. From the back tees, shots that hug the right side will be in the best position to attack the basket as many shots are blocked out of the approach lane if they are even slightly left.
U
Hole #3 Hole 3 has a difficult shot off the tee that requires a throw over a hill, but under a ceiling of branches. To add to the challenge, there is an elevated basket next to a large pine. Those who have the distance should consider this a must get birdie to keep pace with the leaders.
U
Hole #4 One of Brewster’s signature holes, there are many ways to play #4. Playing long and uphill from Gold, drives must negotiate two large pines. Player’s must control the entire flight of their drives as discs landing on the right side of the fairway will have cleaner approaches to the green, which has been extended long and to the right for 2017. It’s usually better to play safe on this hole as shots from the rough are difficult to advance cleanly.
U
Hole #5 The fifth is another dangerous hole that can produce large scoring swings. Stay in bounds and a birdie is very attainable. However those that go OB will struggle to make a bogey. The basket is tucked down to the right for 2017. OB – Rock wall, left side
U
Hole #6 The island green is a must hit on this birdie hole and those shots that don’t land in bound off the tee will play from the red tee on the bridge. Any shots that go OB after the initial tee shot will play from where they last crossed OB. Watch out for the low ceiling off the tee! OB – Island green, shots that do not land in bounds re-tee from the drop zone which is the red tee.
U
Hole #7 A downhill shot with a unique turn asks players to control when their disc starts fading. Too early and you’ll find yourself in the rough on the left, too late and you’ll be knocked down on the right. The rough on the left will be more difficult to negotiate for par saves. Those shots that pure the lane will be looking at birdie, though it’s easier than you think to go long!
U
Hole #8 Choose your route and hit your line and this hole plays like a birdie opportunity. Get off track and you will be lucky to card a bogey. Two main routes define the gold drive as players can play right to left in order to hit the early lane or throw a 400 ft. shot straight to find the deeper landing zone. If you hit your drive you will be left with a short, technical approach. Playing through an open glade, shots that don’t find the main lanes will have many tight options on their approach.
U
Hole #9 Hit the lane on this short Par 3 or pay the price. It is tight off the fairway and a par save from the rough will be difficult. A birdie is there for the taking for those who hit their line on this uphill, left to right shorty that closes the front 9.
U
Hole #10 Another signature hole at Brewster, Hole 10 is a downhill chute that opens up around half way down the fairway. With a basket location under grove of apples, players are asked to throw 410 with touch to park this hole. A three here is a good score and a two will gain you a stroke on most of the competition.
U
Hole #11 Another downhill hole with length! From the back tees, a left to right tee shot can carry well down the fairway and leave players with an easier up shot to a difficult and protected green. Tee shots that don’t get distance will leave players scrambling for Par. A secondary lane to the left allows more forgiveness for errant tee shots, but is certainly not a great way to get to the green cleanly. Two guardian trees make entry to the green difficult.
U
Hole #12 A beautiful downhill par three that requires throws to beat a gap between two trees to get to the pin. With an open lane, this hole is there for the taking but requires accuracy and the ability to keep the disc low. Shots that end short left leave players with a difficult scramble for par. A bank approximately 60 ft. behind the basket drops precipitously down to a stream.
U
Hole #13 A tight and technical par 4, Hole 13 does not require big distance, but accurate placement. Turning left to right, tee shots negotiate a hemlock tree on the corner of the turn. Ideal placement will be on the left side of the fairway as the hole continues to turn all the way to the green. Approaches must punch into a small entrance hole that requires throws to be the right height as well as center cut to penetrate all the way to the basket. This is one of the more difficult holes on the course.
U
Hole #14 Uphill with a ceiling, this is a birdie hole for those able to get off the tee. A large hemlock in the middle of the fairway must be cleared. With numerous trees around the green areas, most putts will have to deal with a small obstruction.
U
Hole #15
OB – Rock wall, short & left side. Players must land in bounds or re-tee from the drop zone which plays from the white tee.
Another memorable hole 15 is a beautiful wooded lane that plays right to left, long and over a rock wall. From the Gold tees, players must land in bounds or re-tee from the white tees. All other shots play from where they cross the OB line. After making a turn at 250 ft. discs will approach the green and look to avoid a hemlock bunker that protects the green short and left.
U
Hole# 16
OB – Rock wall, left side
The most difficult par 3 at Brewster Ridge, this beast plays 400 ft. downhill with OB all along the left side. The outer lane is designed for a righty forehand/left backhand with a big opening turning left to right after the red tee and heading towards basket position Players can also use early lanes that break to the right just after the white tee to reach the basket.
U
Hole #17 A Par 4 that requires a good drive also features a small, dangerous green with a steep slope right behind it. There is also danger left off the tee as a stream crosses the fairway and continues in a deepening ravine that will capture drive that skip too far left. The ideal drive hugs the left side of the island in the middle of the fairway and allows players a straightforward approach to the basket.
U
Hole #18 The closing hole of Brewster Ridge is a challenge to deuce. A well-guarded fairway means tee shots must be very accurate and a protected green makes for the need to control the discs flight all the way to the end. This pretty hole has birches, maples, apple tees, and bushes as bunkers that are easy to find making a bogey easy to card if you’re not careful.

U
Hole #1 Fox Run opens with an attackable Par 4, but beware the OB danger. The back tees throw onto a large island that comprises the fairway and the green. The play here is control over distance, but don’t be too cautious or you’ll have a tough task for what should be a getable birdie. OB – Surrounds fairway and green. Tee shots that never cross in bounds re-tee from the white tee drop zone with a stroke penalty. Tee shots that cross in bounds can choose to play from the drop zone or where the disc last crossed in bounds.
U
Hole #2 The second hole is the best ace run on the course. While this birdie hole is very two-able, the tight lane that players must pure to get there can kick discs into bogey-ville. OB runs up the right side and wraps behind the basket so be careful not to give it too much power! OB – Right side, wrapping behind the basket.
U
Hole #3 Similar to hole 2, the third on Fox challenges players to hit a gap, but this time going uphill, before dropping off quickly to a slippery green. While this hole produces birdies, it is also more treacherous than its predecessor with similar OB, but a much better change to find it. OB – Right side, wrapping behind the basket.
U
Hole #4 Hole 4 underwent a big change for 2017 after wetlands restrictions limited the use of the old fairway. What was the easiest Par 4 on Fox is now a challenging Par 3. Only players with big distance will be able to get a bid for a birdie as this 470 foot beast plays slightly uphill. The old OB on the left has been removed. OB – Right side, wrapping behind the basket.
U
Hole #5 Hole 5 welcomes water into play as the basin is seen for the first time on the course on one of the signature holes. This long downhill Par 3 can easily be birdied, but also brings big numbers into play. Surrounded by OB, stakes make up most of the OB line, other than a section of the basin back left. OB – Surrounding the hole. Delineated by stakes everywhere other than the Basin in the back left. Double stakes indicate where the stake line ends and the water begins.
Up
Hole #6 One of the more birdie friendly holes on the course! Players still must execute as the gap off the tee can be demanding and a swirling wind tends to knock down tee shots. A generous green provides a fair landing zone, but an elevated basket means you’ll want to stick this one close. OB – Surrounding the hole.
U
Hole #7
OB – Surrounding the hole, stream OB, and bridge in bounds.
The longest hole on the course, by far, gives players a tough choice off the tee – to cross or not to cross. A stream running right to left, from 375 ft to 450 ft, away from the tee makes crossing a tall task requiring a controlled distance shot. Whether players cross or lay-up, the next target will be a generous fairway bubble where shots will look to be positioned as deep as possible to make an approach to the green as manageable as possible. The 2017 basket has been moved to the right and tucked into the corner near the rock wall. This hole starts a 3 hole stretch that can make or break your round.
U
Hole #8 The most difficult hole on the course, this uphill grinder is rarely birdied. In order to get a look, players need to go big off the tee, throwing a left to right bomb in order to have any chance of attacking a pin guarded by tight OB. A birdie is a stroke, or more, on the field. OB- Surrounding the hole.
U
Hole #9 The third hole in Fox Run’s own “Amen Corner”, this downhill par 3 is lined with treacherous OB. Many players choose to play it safe and walk it in for a par. Those that challenge the boulder green could easily find themselves losing a stroke, but those that get their birdie will take strong momentum onto the back nine. OB – Surrounding the hole (starting just past the gold tee).
U
Hole #10 After three of the toughest holes on the course, Hole 10 provides a reprieve. This par 3 is on the shorter side and can be birdies with a simple left to right control throw. The basket sits on a bank that is steeper than it seems, so make sure not to leave yourself too long a putt! OB – Surrounding the hole.
U
Hole #11 One of the shorter Par 4s on Fox, tee shots must negotiate a small tree just off the tee. Whether players choose right or left, they must bring the distance and land in bounds. The approach is through two technical gaps and over a rock wall to access the green, and a birdie putt. OB – Surrounding the hole.
U
Hole #12
OB – Players must land on the island green. Shots that do not land in bounds go to the drop zone. For those that don’t wish to attempt to throw over, they may choose to play directly in front of their tee and go to the drop zone to play their 3rd.
The biggest change on Fox run in 2017 is the addition of this new challenge over the Basin. The carry is all over water to an island green. For those that do not make it, there is a drop zone to the right that allows players to attempt to get up and in for their bogey.
Up
Hole #13 2017 has moved this tee down and to the right adding the challenge of throwing uphill to this long par 4. Players must position their drives deep and to the left for the ideal look at the pin, but short of the wetland swath that separates the fairway and the green. OB – Two large islands of OB, separated by a wetland swath.
U
Hole #14 The course offers a birdie look upon players return from the basin! This par 3 moves right to left and the basket is protected by a grove of trees with a couple windows looking in to the green. Tee shots need to be thrown at the correct height as a fairway swale can catch low drives, but too much height will get knocked down by the branches protecting the green. OB – Right side, wrapping behind the basket.
Up
Hole #15 Distance is a must for birdie look on 15. This uphill bomber requires distance north of 400 ft. to reach the basket. Choose the direct approach or play to the right for another open look at the basket, but beware the OB wetlands on the right. OB – Right side.
U
Hole# 16 Hole 16 can provide fireworks down the stretch run of Fox. Players with massive distance may try to drive the green on this exciting par 4. Those who play conservatively should be able to manage a birdie look on this dogleg right. OB – Right side, wrapping behind the basket.
U
Hole #17 A treacherous, sloping green defines this severe right to left, downhill par 3. At 400 ft, players need to give their drives power. With a blind approach, this hole favors players with enough experience to know the right height and angles to put it close, and hopefully stay in bounds. OB – Surrounding the hole.
U
Hole #18 Fox Run Meadows closes with a signature, downhill, Par 4 bomber. At nearly 800 feet, players can’t hold back on their tee shots. Drives need to travel at least 500 ft. to have an easy look at the treacherous green, which falls away down a slope to OB. There is a chance to go OB on any shot, and with the distance required, this home hole isn’t a walk in the park! OB – Surrounding the hole.
