Your SmuggsPass allows your family access to non-fee Smugglers’ Notch events, activities and facilities. If you do not have a SmuggsPass included in your vacation package you may be eligible to purchase one at the Guest Service Desk during your stay. Your SmuggsPass must be purchased for the entire length of stay and is $27 per day (plus tax) or $162 (plus tax) for 7 days for everyone staying in your vacation home. KEEPING CONNECTED Computer Connections Wireless Internet Service (WiFi) is available in our Vacation homes. In order to use the service you must purchase an account and register your devices. You will need the Smugglers’ reservation number, which can be found on your Itinerary in your Welcome Packet, in order to establish an account. The cost is $10 for one day and $30 for one week. The wireless network is accessed by simply starting up your Internet browser and following the directions on screen. SAFETY & EMERGENCIES Smoke Detectors If your smoke detector goes off due to cooking, steamy showers or burned toast, etc., please… DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE DETECTOR. Call Maintenance at extension 1158 and a technician will be dispatched immediately to repair your detector. These detectors are wired directly into the Fire Department and tampering with them causes a safety problem for the guests in the rest of your building.
In Case of Fire Most buildings are equipped with interior fire alarm pull stations. When pulled, they will automatically notify the Fire Department. Also, each home is equipped with local smoke detectors for your added protection. Should the fire alarm in your building go off, please evacuate at once and remain outside until the alarm has been silenced. Please do not tamper with the fire alarms or extinguishers.
Medical Emergencies In the event of a medical emergency, pick up a condominium or “house” phone and DIAL 911. Relay all available information including location and patient’s current condition. The following phone numbers assume you are calling from a condominium or “house” phone. If you are dialing from a cell phone, there is no need to dial 9 before the numbers listed below. Our Child Protection Plan Child abuse and neglect occur at all socio-economic levels. Children in need can be helped. The sooner they are identified and approached, the better. Vermont State Law mandates that all Children’s Program Staff and Administrators report any incidents of suspected child abuse and/or neglect, whether such incidents may be occurring within or outside the boundaries of Smugglers’ Notch Resort.
Our Drug and Alcohol Policy Smugglers’ Notch is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our guests. Therefore, it is the policy of Smugglers’ Notch to comply with and support all state and federal laws related to the use and possession of all regulated drugs, as well as the use and possession of alcohol and tobacco products.
Handicap Accessibility The mountain environment we are located within can create challenges to accessing some of our facilities. Here at Smugglers’, we are working on improving accessibility for our guests and employees. Severe Weather Policy Weather can be unpredictable in the mountains. We strive to keep our guests safe at all times. When we have notice of inclement weather such as lightning we sound our severe weather siren and clear all outdoor public areas including waterparks, tents, ball courts and green spaces for 30 minutes after the last observed thunder or lightning. For the safety of you and your family, please be respectful if a Smugglers’ employee asks you to vacate an outdoor space during these times.

AutumnFest Kids’ Connection — ages 6 weeks to 7 years Available Monday - Friday, plus Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends. The full-day program runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and half-day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Children are encouraged to arrive before 9:30 am to maximize their participation in morning activities. A variety of age appropriate activities will be offered based on attendance including nature walks, miniature golf, swimming, river exploration, fort & fairy house building, arts & crafts and much more! $85 per child, per full day program. $60 per child, per morning session. 50% OFF for AutumnFest guests. Lunch and snacks included.

Kids’ Night Out! Ages 3 to 11 years old. Available Saturday September 5th and October 10th. Enjoy a romantic dinner or an evening out socializing at one of our adult events while your kids enjoy dinner and fun activities, such as dodge ball, scavenger hunts and art projects with our caring staff. The evening closes with ice cream, popcorn and a movie. 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm. $35 per night, per child. Slide, balance, jump, crawl, climb, dash, and swing through the trees. The Treetop Obstacle Course is designed with adventure trekkers in mind. This self-guided 2½ hour adventure combines the thrill of being high above the ground with physical challenges that test a participant’s strength, balance, and agility. The Treetop Obstacle Course consists of 70 plus elements including access to the Climbing Adventure. Following completion of a ground school, trekkers are provided the opportunity to explore a variety of different course areas rated from easy to difficult. All Smugglers’ Notch Resort guests receive 10% OFF per person (15% OFF for groups of 4 or more and 20% OFF for groups of 8 or more) on the Treetop Obstacle Course, normally priced at $60 per person, plus 6% sales tax and 1% booking fee. Climbing Adventure
Sat. & Sun., 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Please call for additional availability. If you’ve ever dreamed of climbing high into a tree, here’s your chance. Test your daring and skill climbing artificial rock walls, vertical obstacles, or for a more novel challenge, climb high into the canopy of one of the Notch’s stately sugar maples or eastern hemlocks. $20 per hour, per person plus taxes and fees, $10 per person when packaged with a Zip Line Canopy Tour or Treetop Obstacle Course.
TOUR INFORMATION: • All tours depart and return to the ArborTrek Welcome Center, just 2 minutes from the Resort entrance. From the resort village, head north (right) on to VT Rte 108 S for 0.6 miles. Turn right on Edwards Rd. Entrance 0.25 mile on right. • The Zip Line Canopy Tour is designed for use by participants of average mobility and strength who are in reasonably good health. Participants must weigh between 70 and 250 pounds (< 5’4” must weigh less than 220 lbs.; <5’0” must weigh less than 180 lbs.) and be at least 48 inches in height and fit properly in to the safety equipment provided. The tour is for ages 8 & older. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Women who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant may not go on the Canopy Tour. • The Treetop Obstacle Course and Climbing Adventure are for participants of good to excellent mobility and strength in good to excellent health. Participants must weigh between 40 and 250 lbs. An adult can accompany 1 child, age 4 to 7 years old, or 2 children, ages 8 to 12 years who can both reach 66 inches standing flat-footed. WHAT TO WEAR & BRING • Dress prepared for periods of activity and inactivity. Active wear is recommended, including multiple layers. In general, participants on the Treetop Obstacle Course and Climbing Adventure will be more active than those on the Zip Line Canopy Tour. • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes required. No flip-flops, clogs, Crocs, or five-toe running shoes allowed. Guests without proper footwear will be turned away without refund. • Sunglasses are recommended. We recommend that all glasses be secured with a retainer strap. • Guests with long hair should bring a hair tie or clip to pull their hair back. • You are welcome to bring food, water, and snacks for before or after the tour. • Cameras and video cameras with retaining straps are welcome. We do not recommend bringing cameras that do not have secure retaining straps as it is not always possible to retrieve dropped objects from below the tour.
