We recognize that you work hard to get away and enjoy a family vacation and that you are here to relax and have a great time. To us that means doing everything we can to keep the stress out of your vacation experience and “keep you on vacation.” We believe that our “We Want You Back” spirit will make this one of your best vacations and that you will want to return to Smugglers’ again and again. Don’t be reluctant to let us know if something goes wrong. As hard as we try, we don’t always meet our own standards of excellence. Our quality goal is to continually improve everything we do in an effort to exceed your expectations for your vacation experience. Activity Refund Policy: A full refund will be given for any Resort activity (unless otherwise noted) if cancelled prior to an hour before the activity begins. A 50% refund will be given if cancelled within an hour of an activity. No refund will be given after the activity has begun.

Please remember your SmuggsPass! The SmuggsPass, included in some of our vacation packages, should be worn throughout your stay with us at Smugglers’. Your SmuggsPass allows your family access to non-fee Smugglers’ Notch events, activities and facilities. If you do not have a SmuggsPass included in your vacation package you may be eligible purchase one at the Guest Service Desk during your stay. Your SmuggsPass must be purchased for the entire length of stay and is $57 per day (+ tax) or $342 (+ tax) for 7 days for everyone staying in your vacation home. NOTE: Fee based activities and facilities such as massage, Artists in the Mountains, Brewster Ridge Disc Golf Course, canoe trips and specialty camps are additional and are not covered by the SmuggsPass. SmuggsPass fees are subject to change until purchased.

Wireless Internet Service (WiFi) is available in our Vacation homes. In order to use the service you must purchase an account and register your devices. Your will need the Smugglers’ reservation number, which can be found on your Itinerary in your Welcome Packet, in order to establish an account. The cost is $10 for one day and $30 for one week. The wireless network is accessed by simply starting up your Internet browser and following the directions on screen. SAFETY & EMERGENCIES Smoke Detectors If your smoke detector goes off due to cooking, steamy showers or burned toast, etc., please DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE ­DETECTOR. Call Maintenance at extension 1158 and a technician will be dispatched immediately to repair your detector. These detectors are wired directly into the Fire Department and tampering with them causes a safety problem for the guests in the rest of your building.

In Case of Fire Most buildings are equipped with interior fire alarm pull stations. When pulled, they will automatically notify the Fire Department. Also, each home is equipped with local smoke detectors for your added protection. Should the fire alarm in your building go off, please evacuate at once and remain outside until the alarm has been silenced. Please do not tamper with the fire alarms or extinguishers.

Handicap Accessibility The mountain environment we are located within can create challenges to accessing some of our facilities. Here at Smugglers’, we are working on improving accessibility for our guests and employees. If you or someone you know requires assistance, or to find out more information regarding accessibility at Smugglers’, please contact the Guest Service Desk so that we can best fulfill your needs.

Severe Weather Policy Summer weather can be unpredictable in the mountains. We strive to keep our guests safe at all times. When we have notice of inclement weather such as lightning we sound our severe weather siren and clear all outdoor public areas including waterparks, tents, ball courts and green spaces for 30 minutes after the last observed thunder or lightning. For the safety of you and your family, please be respectful if a Smugglers’ employee asks you to vacate an outdoor space during these times.

Medical Emergencies In the event of a medical emergency, pick up a condominium or “house” phone and DIAL 911. Relay all available information including location and patient’s current condition. The following phone numbers assume you are calling from a condominium or “house” phone. If you are dialing from a mobile phone, there is no need to dial 9 before the numbers listed below. Our Child Protection Plan Child abuse and neglect occur at all socio-economic levels. Children in need can be helped. The sooner they are identified and approached, the better. Vermont State Law mandates that all children’s program staff and administrators report any incidents of suspected child abuse and/or neglect, whether such incidents may be occurring within or outside the boundaries of Smugglers’ Notch Resort.

Therefore, it is the policy of Smugglers’ Notch to comply with and support all state and federal laws related to the use and possession of all regulated drugs, as well as the use and possession of alcohol and tobacco products.

Aromatherapy Massage Essential oils extracted from herbs, flowers, resins, woods, and roots are used to produce a therapeutic aroma which can promote healing. Choose from four blends made especially for our Mountain Massage Center: Relax, Revitalize, Enhance or Energize. 50 minutes – $90, 80 minutes – $120

Deep Tissue Massage Addresses the deeper muscles of the body with deeper pressure. Helps with chronic pain and injury rehabilitation. Aids in improving alignment. 50 minutes – $90, 80 minutes – $120

Herbal Detox Deep Tissue Massage Combine deep tissue massage with hot herbal towel compresses to enhance the detoxification effects for the body. 80 minutes – $125

Sports Massage Reduces muscle soreness, increases flexibility and speeds recovery. Stretching, compression, and range of motion techniques are added to the massage session to improve performance. 50 minutes – $90, 80 minutes – $120

Swedish Relaxation Massage Promotes relaxation, increases circulation, and improves muscle tone through the use of long sweeping strokes and light pressure kneading. 25 minutes – $55, 50 minutes – $80, 80 minutes – $105

Hot River Rock Massage We blend the soothing heat of basalt stones with the refreshing cool of marble to promote deep relaxation. Balance your body physically and emotionally with this centering experience. Suitable for deep as well as light pressure massage. 60 minutes – $120

Warm Vanilla Spice Wrap Massage Let your stress drift away as you float on pillows filled with warm water while your therapist uses gentle strokes to soothe tension. Refresh your senses as our rich hand-crafted lotion is applied to your skin. You’ll then be wrapped in blankets to let the moisture soak in deeply as you receive a luxurious scalp and foot massage. 60 minutes – $115

Maple Meltdown Drift away with a full body massage while floating on pillows of warm water. Next, enjoy a gentle maple sugar scrub to exfoliate and hydrate your skin. You will then be wrapped with hot towels allowing the maple sugar time to melt and absorb. Your treatment will continue with soothing hot stones to relieve your neck and head. Our maple body butter follows to seal in the deep hydration, leaving you refreshed and revitalized. 80 minutes – $125 8

Citrus Wrap Massage Let your stress drift away as you float on pillows filled with warm water. Your therapist will refresh your senses and soothe tired muscles with a massage using our own Vermont crafted citrus mousse cream. Mini Princess Massage For children ages 4 & older. Make your little girl feel like a princess with a mini spa treatment just for her. This treatment includes a light facial, head, neck, and hand massage with warm stones, hand crafted aromatherapy oils, and cucumber eye pillows. Shiatsu Facial Rejuvenator Enjoy an extensive head, face, and neck massage combined with a full upper body shiatsu pressure point treatment with hot stones and scented oils. Great for relieving aches and pains and overall relaxation. Uplifting for your mind, body, and soul. 50 minutes – $100

Full Body Shiatsu Rejuvenator Enjoy the benefits of the facial rejuvenator combined with a deep tissue or Swedish, full body massage and shiatsu treatment with hot stones and scented oils. 80 minutes – $130

Treat Your Feet Enjoy a deeply relaxing reflexology treatment in the comfort of your own condo! This soothing massage uses reflexology techniques to the feet to restore balance throughout the entire body. WORLD OF WATER Please shower before using pools, hot tubs and slides. Parents please note: If your child is not toilet trained, they must wear an approved “swim diaper” with snug fitting swim attire in all of our water facilities. For your convenience, swim diapers are available at the Country Store or TREASURES Baby Boutique. Please bring towels to all of our World of Water locations.

Adjacent to our tennis courts, enjoy our 30' x 60' outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, and Flume Waterslide. Changing rooms, showers, and lockers available. Ext. 1169. Please note: you must be at least 42" tall, and able to swim, to ride the Flume Slide.

Mountainside Water Playground

Daily 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

25' x 75' Lap Pool, 300' Giant Rapid River Ride, Little Smugglers’ Lagoon and Turtle Miniwaterslide. Bathhouse with showers and changing rooms. Ext. 1870. Please note: you must be at least 42" tall, and able to swim, to ride on the Giant Rapid River Ride. Riders between 42"- 48" inches will be required to wear a PFD.

American Red Cross Swim Lessons Our instructors are trained and certified by the American Red Cross, so our unique 6-level instructional approach is unlike anything else being offered. Each level includes training in basic water safety and helping others in an emergency, along with swimming skills presented in a logical progression. All sessions are in our heated pools with a 1:6 instructor to student ratio. Lessons meet at Notchville Park. Offered Mon.-Fri., five consecutive sessions. Parent & Child American Red Cross Swim Lessons Become part of your child’s swimming development with a parent and child aquatics class. You’ll participate in guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills, from water entry to underwater exploration and more. Swim diaper under snug fitting swim attire is required for children not toilet trained. Ages 6 months to 3 years, $40 per half-hour lesson. Offered by appointment only. Rum Runners’ Hideaway is a beautiful mountainside reservoir. The swimming area has water depths of 7-12 feet so swimming ability is a must! Enjoy lounging deck space and a 25-foot Aqua Jump with two floating attachments. Canoe and paddleboat rentals: $12/ hour, $7/half hour. Note: there is no lifeguard on duty at the children’s wading area. Rustic mountainside changing cabin is available. Fishing license needed for ages 15 - adult, available at Green Mountain Troutfitters in Jeffersonville, 644-2214. Pedestrian access only. Bootleggers’ Basin

All-Day Children’s Programs, Seven Days a Week... Your child’s fun and learning is our most important job. We have created active, dynamic educational programs that meet the developmental needs of your children. Our groups will venture out in inclement weather, but in the case of severe weather we will offer alternative programming. Please note: If you would like your children to be grouped together the older child will be expected to join the younger child’s group. How to find your child during the day The best time to check on your child is at lunch time. Check with your child’s counselor for the specific time and location. Ages 9 - 17. 5-day Program Schedule: (weather permitting) Monday • Experience our exciting Via Ferrata with Peak Expeditions which includes a waterfall climb and rappelling. Participate in our High or Low Ropes challenge course. Tuesday • Come explore, rappel and climb some of Vermont’s beautiful rock climbing spots. Peak Expedition’s professional guides will lead rock climbing expeditions to some of the most pristine rock climbing locations around the area. Wednesday • Enjoy a scenic kayaking adventure and picnic lunch guided by our experienced counselors. Thursday • Aerial trekking at the ArborTrek Treetop Obstacle Course, where campers navigate their way through 80+ elements, as well as climb our rock wall. Ages 9-17. Campers put all their skills together for a night of fun on the mountain. Campers will hike to our Survival Campsite where they will use a combination of skills they learned throughout the week to make a fire, cook their dinner, and set up a functional campsite! Campers must attend at least one day of Survival Camp to attend the overnight. Register by 12:00 noon on Thursday to participate. $49 per person. Minimum of 4 people required for trip to run. 2 DAY/2 NIGHT BACKPACKING EXPLORATION TRIP Wednesday & Thursday Ages 13 - 17. Campers will depart on Wednesday for Vermont’s famed Long Trail, a section of which runs over the spine of our Sterling and Madonna mountains! Starting in beautiful Smugglers’ Notch, the group will climb up to the Sterling Pond shelter where they will make camp for the night. Thursday is spent hiking on the Long Trail to either Beaver Meadow Lodge or Bear Hollow Shelter for the night. Friday morning the group will be up early for a short stroll out to the road where they will be picked up and driven back to the resort for a 9:30 am pick up at the Notch Squad tent! Campers will be carrying portions of their supplies for sleeping and eating and will be accompanied by two fully trained guides with their Wilderness First Aid Certifications. There are privies at both shelter sites. A minimum of 4 participants needed to run. $289 per child. Check-in: 8:45 am Wednesday, return Friday morning. Mountain Explorers Barbecue & Swim Party

Ages 16-17. Come and join us for an evening out at Rum Runners’ reservoir. Along with a delicious BBQ dinner there will be a pre-dinner swim with fun on the Aqua Jump water trampoline. Out of the water there will be games, snacks, and a campfire. We will be listening to and playing music throughout the evening so bring your iPods and any instruments you’d like to jam with. Teens return to the village between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Don’t miss out on the most fun evening of the week. Register by 12:00 noon on Tuesday to participate. Treetop Obstacle Course (TTOC) Daily 9:15 am, 9:45 am, 10:15 am, 12:15 pm, 12:45 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm Slide, balance, jump, crawl, climb, dash, and swing through the trees. The TTOC is designed with adventure trekkers in mind. This self-guided 2½ hour adventure combines the thrill of being high above the ground with physical challenges that test a participant’s strength, balance, and agility. The TTOC consists of 70+ elements and includes access to the Climbing Adventure (15+ elements) in the 2.5 hour ticket. One TTOC is included with the Adventure Connection Package. Test your daring and skill climbing artificial rock walls, vertical obstacles, or for a more novel challenge, climb high into the canopy of one of the Notch’s stately sugar maples or eastern hemlocks. $20/person plus taxes and fees, $10/person/hour when added to a ZLCT or to extend time after the TTOC.

The tour is for ages 8 & older. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. TTOC & CA REQUIREMENTS: For participants of good to excellent mobility and strength in good to excellent health. Participants must weigh between 40 and 250 lbs. Participants less than 8 years of age, under 70 lbs, or who cannot reach 66 inches standing flat footed will be limited to the Apple Creek section of the TTOC and CA. Flyboard beginner lessons, instruction and training are available at Bootleggers’ Basin, Our instructors are Zapata Racing Flyboard Certified. The Flyboard is a PWC (Personal Water Craft) accessory that allows a user to elevate up in the air using water jet propulsion technology. It is by far the most fun you can have on the water! 45-minute Flyboard lessons are available Sun., Mon., Tues., Wed., Fri., & Sat.
