Created by Cocco and friends, she is a woman, mother and creator who with recycled material, create multi purpose bags with coffee burlap bags. Their creations help low-income families. A percentage of the proceeds are used to purchase water filters and unleaded paint for Milwaukee families. A Historic Summer Escape As you are driving along Bluemound Road (which turns into Hwy JJ) heading west into Waukesha, you would never guess all that awaits you upon entering this 1800s Wisconsin Homestead. The history preceding the five businesses and home that currently inhabit all the historic buildings are a huge part of the nostalgia to visiting the grounds for shopping, or dining any time of year. Find the entire history leading up to today, inside the Jack’s Cafe menu, or on their web sites. Current owners of the property Kari and Jack Cameron, purchased the 2.5-acres in 1995 and developed it into what it is today. The main Farmhouse is home to Just A Little Bit Country, a business owned by Kari since 1985, specializing in 18th and 19th century New England antiques and fine reproductions. Also inside the Farmhouse you will find Log Cabin Rugs, historic reproductions and primitive rug-hooking patterns and kits by Kari Miller-Cameron. Rug hooking supplies and expansive wool selections are also offered. Directly behind the farmhouse you will find a quaint cottage looking stone building which has been the setting and home base for Debbie Lenarduzzi, owner of Lenarduzzi Interiors Atelier for

the last 4 years. It has been a location where casual meets elegance, and has specialized in French Country decor. Stop in soon, because unfortunately Debbie’s beautiful shop will be closing the end of July 2018, a store closing sale is going on until then. Fortunately for her past and future clientele, Debra’s 28 year tradition of her design business, based out of her home studio will continue. Call Debra at 414-852-8826 for future consultations. As you continue towards the parking lot to your left, up a winding stone path you will come upon Savvy Seconds, an Upscale Women’s Boutique. Here you will find Fabulous Brand names in clothing, footwear, accessories and a (seasonally) huge prom and formal dress selection for up to 65% off retail prices. Owner Lynn Guenther accepts consignments daily, no appointments are necessary. Shop or consign now thru August 14th Tuesday thru Saturday 11 am-5 pm, (Longer hours during fall, homecoming and prom seasons.) Directly across from Savvy Seconds, overlooking the entire property and flower gardens, you will see Jack’s Café. This Cafe owned by Kari and Jack Cameron has been serving lunch 11am to 2:30 pm, Monday thru Saturday since 1997. The popularity of this lunch destination

intensifies as the beautiful weather beckons all to enjoy the wonderful outdoor dining under the grapevine canopy deck. “Giving satisfaction with the taste of good, fresh food” is what Jack and staff do best. This is also the perfect setting to schedule your next event... contact Kari to book Jack’s Café for your next shower, birthday, anniversary or other event today! 414-915-7565. A very popular, event you do not want to miss is held on the Homestead grounds yearly in August is “The Ultimate Yard Sale!”Every year a huge tent is pitched right next to the farmhouse and filled with merchandise, furniture, and antiques at 30-70% off retail. Look for in store promotions as well. This years sale will be held Friday-Sunday, August 24 (95), August 25 (10-5)and August 26 (11-5). Mark your calendars now. In 2004, Jack and Kari’s master plan was completed by building their 1800s, New England style Saltbox home behind Jack’s Café. Kari’s son, Timothy Miller, with a degree in Preservation Carpentry completed the most recent building on the property. The history lives on… The phone numbers, and web sites to all businesses are shown on the opposite page, come explore and enjoy! n

Antiques Creating modern country style with antiques and flea market finds.

Shown is a replica of a Navy diving helmet, made completely of copper and brass. It is a quality piece, made in China, available for purchase at BBC Lighting and Antiques, located at 2015 West St. Paul Ave. in Milwaukee, WI. They are Open Monday - Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 11 am-4 pm. Call 414-933-0808 and feel free to check out their extensive online lighting showroom at www.bbclighting.com

This ornate mid-century modern cast architectural panel was an American Prairie School design collaboration of Frank Lloyd Wright and his protégé John DeKoven Hill. Panels were commissioned for the Corbett House in Hyde Park, Cincinnati, Ohio and used extensively in screen walls both inside and out. This panel along with other historically significant architectural treasures may be found at the vintage gallery of ARCHI-antiques in Walker’s Point/Milwaukee at 193 South 2nd Street, at the NW corner of 2nd and Pittsburgh Ave. Open Fridays and Saturdays 10-5, weekdays by appointment please, or visit www.facebook.com/ARCHI.antiques.USA/ or call 262-789-5001 for more information.

Summertime means we all like to gas up and go! Shown is a 1940s Mobilgas pump shell, which actually has the gas pump inside removed, which has also eliminated a huge amount of the weight for transporting it to your location. This and many other quality, unique pieces from the past can be found at Clinton Street Annex Antiques, located at 1106 South First Street, in Milwaukee, WI. We have 2 shops, only one stop. At Home with Country Life... Inspiring ways to bring country style into your home.

Summer Glory The vibrance and beauty of summer are captured in this happy arrangement composed of everlasting florals. Monches Farm’s designer Sue Morgan has been creating floral art for over 25 years. She would be happy to work with you to create a custom piece for your home using your design colors and reflecting your personal style. Call her at Monches Farm at 262-966-2787 for a consultation. Sue created this piece in a Monches Farm terra cotta container that can be hung on a wall or can sit on a table. The arrangement is three sided to allow this. To create this piece Sue used (all florals and greens are everlasting): 3 dark Zinnias 4 yellow Zinnias 2 bunches of Black-Eyed Susans 3 stems of Eucalyptus 2 stems of Dusty Miller 1 bunch of Dark Raspberries Seeded Eucalyptus berries 1 stem small green berries 1 block of Dried Floral Foam moss n Cut the foam to fit. Glue into container n Use the Eucalyptus stems to shape the arrangement n Cut Dusty Miller stems to fill in n Cut apart stems of Black-Eyed Susans and distribute color evenly n Place both colors of Zinnias to create a balanced look n Glue the remaining berries to maintain overall balance (not necessarily evenly placed) n

Decanter Delight. At the close of the 19th Century Claret was the rage. Every high-society table would have included a beautifully crafted decanter to serve their claret. We are pleased to be able to offer three circa 1900 Art Nouveau claret jugs. Two manufactured by WMF have the flowing lines that epitomize art nouveau and the third a more restrained German manufactured decanter. These items are available at Riverview Antique Market’s new location 2045 West St. Paul Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 414-278-9999.
