With smaller circular needle (circ) and using the long-tail cast on, CO 146 sts. Place marker (pm) for beg of rnd (BOR) and join to work in the rnd, careful not to twist sts. Begin neck trim First rnd: *K1, p1; rep from * to end. Cont in rib for ¾" [2 cm]. Change to larger, shorter circ. Next rnd place markers: *K52 (52, 52, 54, 54, 56, 56, 58, 58), pm for raglan, k21 (21, 21, 19, 19, 17, 17, 15, 15), pm for raglan; rep from * one more time. (BOR counts as final raglan marker.) Begin stitch pattern and raglan shaping Change to longer circ when necessary. Next rnd knit inc rnd: *K1, k1/R, work Rnd 1 of texture pattern to 1 st before marker (m), k1/R, slip marker (sl m); rep from * three more times (8 sts inc'd)—154 sts.
