The Peruvian Geology Society required an extension for its headquarters, consisting of an auditorium, a library and a cafeteria. The challenge was to set the new program behind the existing building, a 1940‘s Tudor style house adapted to fit offices.

The new program was set surrounding the back of the main building, creating a stone frame around it; contrasting with the wood and plaster façade. On the inside, the auditorium and the library were set as overlapping volumes, around an interior court.
