Lacoste introduces a new range of eyewear that are both stylish AND hugely practical for the leisure mariner.

MosT BoATInG enthusiasts are familiar with the scenario – you’re powering across the waves at 30 knots, enjoying the sunshine and the wind in your hair. You turn your head, and a freak gust catches your shades and sends them sailing overboard. The boat does a rapid turn, but by then, it’s too late. Or, you take a jump off the top deck of a luxury yacht into the sea, only to realise in mid-air that your prized sunglasses are still on your face. You plunge into the ocean and they’re gone, and no amount of frantic searching in the foamy water can locate them…

Being familiar with BOTH of these scenarios, this particular range of shades from Lacoste caught our eye immediately. The frame is fabricated utilizing a new injection moulding technique that allows these sunglasses to float, making a perfect match between form and function. The L816S Floatable Eyewear is available in four colours: Blue, Green, Black and Yellow.
