Touching down at Hamad International Airport I was eager to arrive at my hotel after a turbulent flight. After arranging an Uber I was impressed with the commute taking a mere 15-minutes, situating the Holiday Inn Doha itself only a few minutes away from the local main attractions, including Souq Waqif and Museum of Islamic Arts. During check-in I queried the surrounding area and I was pleased to hear that it was easy to explore the city at ease with close proximity to the shopping malls, the Corniche and to the city center, perfect for indulging in a spot of retail therapy! This is inevitably why it makes the ideal place to stay around for business or leisure.

Plum coloured chairs and lime green pouffes adorn the foyer area allowing for a funky but fresh vibe to infiltrate the surroundings. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor as it doesn’t fit my original perception of a Holiday Inn, but, after voicing my compliments to the smiling reception staff I was further advised that this is a business model for the Holiday Inn brand and its future renovations. A juicy little fact also unfolder that this is the first Holiday Inn to be erected in Qatar. A stunning illuminated staircase takes centre stage as it elegantly curves itself amidst a rainfall of vertical lights and i couldn’t help but take a few snaps to add to my Instagram story, it is such a stunning piece of architecture! All of which time spared as the kind concierge staff swiftly delivered my luggage to the room so I could peruse the facilities.

The hotel’s 307 well-appointed guest rooms all feature flat-screen televisions, satellite channels and complimentary high speed internet access so you can stay connected, however, I was pleased that as a guest I could use the 24-hour business centre that is kitted-out with the latest Apple computers adjacent to the main foyer, if required. There is also seven high-tech and flexible meeting rooms to allow for an easy business setting. Holiday Inn Doha have really thought of everything.

The running theme throughout the hotel is one of chic elegance yet industrialised modern structures are fitted throughout the whole design. I checked into one of the spacious suites and I was met with an inviting lounge area with primary blue coloured sofas and artworks providing eloquent finishing touches. Pine wood allows a delicacy to forge itself with adequate space to hang my overflowing wardrobe. There truly is an artistic flair when it comes to the lighting features that teardrop around the suite.

I sank into the king-sized bed that allowed for a deep sleep and my appetite was ravenous when I awoke. Breakfast did not disappoint in the perfectly manicured mediterranean All-Day Dining Restaurant, housing everything from scrumptious freshly baked patisseries to live cooking stations.

For those sports fans you can cheer on your favourite team at the Stock Burger Co, however, I decided that after a day of meandering that I would enjoy a signature drink at the Pool Bar adorned with heated swimming facilities before I had to unfortunately check-out.

Whatever the occasion Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park will ensure a memorable stay and with home comforts at your beck and call we look forward to another friendly stay adorned with picturesque qualities.
