THE PROBLEM OF PUBLIC CAR PARKING AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS - One of the best ways to solve the problem of increased need for car parking in urban areas and city centers with high frequency of people is to organize efficient public transport. Car parks may satisfy limited public needs only and they should be set aside for particular level and groups of customers. WHAT KIND OF CAR PARKS TO ANTICIPATE - Open car parks Not applicable for central city areas; - Multistory car parks, Not acceptable solution for city centers since they occupy top-quality and very expensive locations and any future change of their function (business, trade) is practically impossible. - Underground car parks Best solution for long-term use but most expensive. WHAT KIND OF CAR PARKS TO ANTICIPATE - Temporary (disassembling) car parks Perfect solution for temporary use, BOTH to double capacity of open car parks and for locations where their anticipated purpose according to detailed urban plan is not finalized yet.
