Everwarm Hearth & Home Building Connections event raises $1,500 for HFOT! A HUGE thank you to Everwarm Hearth & Home for hosting last week’s Building Connections & Fundraiser to support Homes For our Troops! The event was a great success and raised $1,500 to support Homes For our Troops. If you missed it, please visit http://bit.ly/17jVOAB to see a full photo recap. Work Begins on Homes for Our Troops Project!

The foundation has been installed at Corporal Lang's home up O'Brien Road! We are excited to report that this home will be the first in Clallam County certified with Built Green's updated 2012 Single Family Residential Checklist. Dear Donna: I have a landlord that refuses to let me out of my lease. I have lived in the house for eight months but it costs me over $500 per month to heat the home. There are also other issues including mold. I have four months left on the lease, but the conditions of the house are making my family sick. The house is for sale and I am thinking about putting large yellow tape with hanging lemons over the sign. Thoughts? I have plenty of thoughts with very little detail. Member News! NTI invites you to Bob Leach’s retirement celebration Robert Leach graduated from the University of Washington and earned his PE in 1971. He began his engineering career in Port Angeles in 1976 with Peterson & Associates (later to become NTI) where he worked until 1983. Bob returned to the UW where he earned his MBA in 1989. He came back to Port Angeles and NTI in 1993 after time at the City of Seattle Engineering Department and as general manager and engineer at Public Utility District No. 1 of Jefferson County. In 2003, Bob became NTI’s principal engineer and an owner of the business. After many years of service to our community at NTI we are wishing Bob a happy retirement. He has certainly earned it! During his many years at NTI, Bob has been responsible for major projects including a downtown beautification project and the LID #215 sanitary sewer retro-fit for the City of Port Angeles, a roadway/utility sys-

tem for an industrial park complex for the Port of Port Angeles, a sanitary sewer retrofit for the community of Sunland, a resort/ hotel development and site grading/utility systems for the Makah Marina at Neah Bay, the Dry Creek Elementary School complex, the Port Angeles Library, Valley Creek Estuary, several assisted living facilities, many subdivisions and related utility systems. We will be honoring Bob for his service Thursday, June 20, at NTI’s office at 717 S. Peabody St. in Port Angeles. Please come by between the hours of 3-6 p.m. to offer congratulations and well wishes as he begins the next adventure in his life.

Currently the owner of Ked-Ter Construction, Rick Bradley began his career right after high school.
