Codices

When Launchpad-built business Codices released its game-show creation tool in 2018, the team couldn’t have predicted how a global pandemic would send its popularity rocketing.

The tool – named Quiz Kit – enables users to host their own live interactive quiz shows in a range of languages. It allows people to write their own questions or use ready-made quizzes and offers full dashboard controls, leaderboards, analytics and prize-winner data.

After launching in South Korea – one of the biggest markets for gaming – Quiz Kit was already popular, but the arrival of COVID-19 saw Quiz Kit being used by more people than ever before. During lockdown, pubs and bars started using the tool to keep their weekly pub quizzes running, helping them to earn money and keep their customers engaged. Quiz Kit now serves more than a million viewers and is the most popular game-show creation tool on Amazon’s live streaming platform Twitch.
