Accommodation
The Compass
Our student information service offers help and advice on any aspect of university life, whether you have a quick query or require specialist support. From money matters to mental health, housing or accessibility, they’re here to find the answers and give you the support you need throughout your time at Falmouth.
Returning to learning
We hold Return to Learning events for postgraduate and mature students at the start of the year to welcome people back into academia. During the year, we offer taught study skills classes, including intensive writing support, and you’re also welcome to book individual sessions relating to any aspect of study skills.
On-campus students Childcare
We care for the children of staff, students and locals in an engaging and nurturing environment. At our nurseries in Falmouth and Penryn, we provide childcare and education for children up to five, and afterschool activities for children up to eight. Our dedicated teams will work closely with you to support your child at every stage of their development.
Chaplaincy
The Multifaith Chaplaincy provides pastoral and spiritual care and conversation for students of all faiths and none. The Chaplaincy offers spaces on-campus for prayer, meditation and quiet.
Healthcare
We advise all our students to register with a local GP practice. If you live in Penryn you can register with Penryn Surgery, which also offers daily appointments at our Penryn Campus during term time. For those in Falmouth there are several surgeries available. More
information is available at The Compass on Penryn Campus.
Whether you’re based in Falmouth or Penryn, you’ll find a range of accommodation options.
Glasney Student Village and The Sidings (both in Penryn) each have dedicated accommodation blocks for postgraduate students. While we can’t guarantee university accommodation for UK/EU postgraduate students, we do welcome applications. If you’re an international student, you’ll be guaranteed accommodation if you apply by 31 July.
Falmouth and Penryn offer a wide variety of private sector housing. If we’re not able to accommodate you in one of our own residences, we’ll be happy to advise on finding accommodation locally. There are also accommodation fairs and online accommodation databases to help.
We’re committed to providing a supportive environment for everyone. If you have a disability, an access need or a medical condition, we’ll help you explore your options.
