INTRODUCTION The islands of the West Indies would like to welcome you to take part in our bid for the 2026 FIFA World Cup taking place from 5th June to 5th July, being the first in the Caribbean that creates a hybrid of 500 years of cultural diversity, with a known passion for sport. The islands of the West Indies are known as a preferred favourite for tourism, because of its sandy beaches, picturesque surroundings, and a friendly population. It’s also a place for timeshares, a solid gambling industry, and a streak-free culinary finesse. It also combines the four major languages: English, French, Spanish, and Dutch. It blends different cultures that passed through history, even after their independence movements. Staging the FIFA World Cup in the summer of 2026 gives the West Indies an additional push to the economy, creating more than 1.8 million jobs across the islands, and contributing to the increase of the overall gross domestic product across the region. It also aids in the tourism industry, bringing more than 22 million worldwide visitors to watch this major sporting event all summer long, including a televised audience of more than 6.7 billion viewers worldwide. Whether is in the Greater or Lesser Antilles or somewhere in between, of European or African origin, or whether you speak other languages than the main four, West Indies 2026 FIFA World Cup brings a mixture of Sun, Beach, Sand, and FOOTBALL!
