SITE INVENTORY | LOCATION
SENSORY VIEWS The trees in the north- eastern side blocks the views from both inside and outside the site boundary, acting as the natural fencing system. In the west side of the site there is an open view of Taman Tasik Cempaka and adjacent to the site in the south-eastern side there is a neighbourhood park, Taman Permainan Taman Tasik Cempaka.
1. View to West at Taman Tasik Cempaka
2. View from North, main road Persiaran Bangi
3. Panoramic view from North- West to the site
4. View from East, Persiaran Pusat Bandar road to the site
8. Blocked view of the East side of the site
7. View of Taman Permainan Taman Tasik Cempaka in the South of the site, adjacent to the site boundary.
6. Open view from West, Taman Tasik Cempaka to the site
5. View from bus stop near site boundary in the East

VIEWS WITHIN SITE BOUNDARY
From the site boundary, the main road lies in North- East. It is the angle within which broad views can be found and the object of views can change over time. There are small buildings across the street, which barely blocks any view from the site. Another positive angle within the site is the South side, Taman Tasik Chempaka is
located at that direction and a lake right next to the site, allowing light and air as well as an open view inside the site. In the north, Taman Permainan Taman Tasik Cempaka is located, which might be a good design opportunity if merged. The East view is blocked by the rows of large trees. Page Number 3
VIEWS OUTSIDE SITE BOUNDARY
1. North- East node view from the main road.
Positive Views- In the existing site condition, views from the main road and Taman Tasik Cempaka, situated in the west, offer to display the positive angles of the site. 3. Negative Views- The temporary walkway created on the lake connecting Taman Tasik Cempaka and the given site has a drainage pipe and polluted water.
2. East side view from the Bus stop. East view from the main road.
4. North side view from the main road.
Blocked views from outside the site boundary- Eastern view of the site is entirely covered with trees from outside as well as inside the site. In the South- East part, trees and a playground blocks the view of the site. Dramatic angle of the propertyNorth-Eastern side of the site allows the most dramatic and clear view from the main road. Point of interest in the site from outside and potential of continuing or blocking the views by surrounding developments - The view from the playground and Taman Tasik Cempaka. Views will not be blocked by any future development here.

ODORS, SMOKE, AIRBORNE POLLUTION SOURCES & INTENSITIES
A site’s perceptual quality is affected not only by what people can see but also by what they can hear and smell. Odors also may pose a problem with sites near ponds or large industrial operations. The direction of the prevailing breezes is a particularly important attribute to consider when designing in the vicinity of these and other odor producing activities.

Weakness
Strength
● ●
Lake near the site: Tranquil view
Opportunity ●
The playground beside the site can be a part of design process.
Unplanned planktons and dump-water on the front portion of the waterbody creates an unpleasant view.
Threats ●
Polluted water in the north side of Lake.

●
Should design interesting facade in NorthEast, this side offers a wide angle view of the structure from the main road
●
Trees around the site should keep as they acts as a natural curtain, allows privacy and shade from direct sunlight from east.
●
Create Openings on the positive view on site
●
Installing drain grid to filter out waste.
●
Block the negative views with softscapes/ parking lots
●
Maximise positive views to park
●
Implement sidewalk to lead the users to the positive views on site
●
Propose entrance or special space program on the positive views on site with the beautiful views creates a welcoming and approachable entrance statement.

NOISE SOURCES & INTENSITIES
●
There is not much traffic and noise generated at the Narrow 4-Lane Road comparing to the Highway.
●
Having a terrace, curtain wall, window openings or a yard near the highway is not a big no-no unless there is a proposal or a solution to that particular problem.
●
Grass cutting or trimming by the lawn mower.
●
It really generates a high level of noise

SWOT & SYNTHESIS OZEER MOHAMMAD 191920959
Strength ●
Trees: noise abatement and pollution reduction.Trees will absorb carbon dioxide and gaseous pollutants.
Opportunity ●
●
●
Provide a quiet space along the lake.
Weakness Noise pollution from surrounding vehicular traffic
●
Threats unpleasant smell from the lake if it is not well maintained.
●
Placing Parking garage near the highway can buffer the noise before it reaches our building.
●
Rooms placement: Placing rooms that are less sensitive to noise (e.g., washrooms, store rooms, staff rooms) on the side of the building nearest the highway, opening up space farther from the road for showrooms and library and hall areas.
●
●
Minimizing the number of windows and doors facing the highway. Installing double- or triple-paned glass windows and solid-core doors.
Trees not only absorb carbon dioxide, give shade, avoid soil erosion, but they also act as buffers and filter out the annoying urban noise. 11
SWOT & SYNTHESIS OZEER MOHAMMAD 191920959
●
Keep the trees : noise abatement and pollution reduction. Trees will absorb carbon dioxide and gaseous pollutants.
Maintain the pond.
●
Movement of the air : Facilitating air circulation helps to improve thermal and olfactory comfort in an environment.
● Maintain the Lake Reduce Lake Muck, Sludge, & Waste. ● Large amounts of sludge close to the water surface will create an unpleasant smell similar to sewage.
● Providing good sunlight and, above all, adequate and natural ventilation is a highly efficient way to purify air in an environment. ● Fountains : provide the body of water with the oxygen it needs to support a healthy balance of plant and animal life.
Fountain provides Oxygen.

HYGIENE CONCERN
LACK OF SECURITY/ AREAS
FACILITIES
Around the area have their own trash disposal but its not proper. It made the site produce bad odour
At night the site is too dark and not safe for people to do activities there.
There's a lot of spaces here that is unused maybe can suggest a centre of some facilities to help of gain the attention of community around
The drainage and utilities need to be improve It's better to have a place where the community can get food and beverage on site so it is comfortable to spent time longer there on site
Mostly depend on the artificial light which is not enough to provide light on the site People spend time doing recreational activities here, so it need more areas for resting
