Prologue
Shippo is a pattern formed by some overlapping circles in quarters. The pattern regarded as auspicious of prosperity of descendants, good relationships and the bringer of harmony between people.
Farrell Jeremiah’s Portfolio
As for Farrell, graphic design should be harmonious to every subjects that correlates to it. As how the circles overlapped each other, interconnected, created petals and stars, so does subjects intertwined with each other in making a good design, the creator of design, the owner, and the user (people who visually enjoying the design) all works together in order to produce a good, harmonious and communicative design. All shaped by souls of every people in it.

Ekskursi Arsitektur UI (2020)
Ekskursi Arsitektur UI is an annual program, as a research of vernacular architecture that spreads all over Indonesia. This year, the research will go to Tanah Timor in Nusa Tenggara. The design concept uses touch of textures and shapes that represent the roof of Atoni’s architecture and rocks as the foundation of the house. In the commitee, Farrell acts as the vice leader of visual design department under Shan Savero and alongside Aryo Widyanggoro. In 2020, the team took a radical turn on its design, dropping the Indonesian traditional style and focused on simplifying the means and shapes of the architecture to create a new element of design.

The proportion of logo of Ekskursi Arsitektur UI, the placement of the elements represents the house of Atoni built with stone and Rumbia
The logo of the Ekskursi Arsitektur UI 2020 is extracted from the simplified shapes of Rumah Atoni, which stands with Rumbia roof (the triangle shape above), and stone foundations (the lower part).
The exploration of finding the language of the branding that goes with the stone and Rumbia roof
The final design and branding of Ekskursi Arsitektur UI 2020 applied to the envelopes, letters,
elements of the logo.
invitation cards, etc.
The team were trying to improve the design language of Ekskursi by adding textures to the shapes. From the ‘batik’ texture, cracks, grains, and others, the team found the effect combined by grain and dusts may create the ‘rocky’ feeling of Nusa Tenggara, while keeping the design clean and sleek.
The branding itself applied to many forms, online and offline. During the pandemic era, the exhibition of Ekskursi can’t be held offline, therefore the offline form where the design applied to consists as letters, envelopes, merchandises, hampers, and others things but the physical form of the exhibition.

Being the first ever online-oriented Ekskursi, this year’s team blooms and finds innovation throughout the social media, optimizing its function to interact, and showcase contents in the best way possible.
8
The design element of Ekskursi Arsitektur UI implented not only in many forms, but also in many ways (visualizations). The rocks and the roofs may become the framing of the photo, they may also become the background of the photo. The use of grids and different font weight giving people a more clearer information of what we (the Ekskursi team) want to communicate to people who saw our social media.

The website showcases not only the findings by the team, but also the recap of the workshops and classes held by Ekskursi Arsitektur UI to socialize vernacular architecture.

Stay-G Hotel (2021)
Stay-G is an upcoming hotel by Hotel GranDhika Indonesia. Aimed to be a ‘more casual’ two-stars hotel, it needed a more ‘fun’ type of branding. Farrell was given the logo of the Stay-G and its splash elements, and by that he created some of the things required from the hotel stationaries to the hotel keycard.

The C4 Envelope of Stay-G Hotel
The Stay-G Hotel is a part of Farrell’s internship in Hotel GranDhika Indonesia. This was a fun experience, especially designing requirements for hotel, which not a lot of people have a chance to.

GranDhika Intern (2021)
These are the compilation of works by Farrell on his 3-months internship at Hotel GranDhika Indonesia, a 5-stars hotel located in Blok M, Jakarta. On his intern, he gained lots of experience, for as a graphic designer in the hotel division, the job is not to create content only for Hotel GranDhika Iskandarsyah Jakarta, but also for Hotel GranDhika in Medan and Semarang. He also learnt quite more about videography while shooting video for hotel promotions.

Throughout the intern, Farrell learning on making instagram stories, espeially on how fitting much information on a limited spaces.
The most often task to do is to create instagram contents (post and stories). Some of it were to get marketing engagements, some of it were to deliver positive messages, and some are posts on celebrating big days. It varies each days.
Flyers, banners, and other printable stuffs
Weddong Booklet promo
Other than online contents, internship in GranDhika also ables him to do designs for banners, standing banners, and other prints documents. Usually each hotel promos has their own flyer/banner design requests.
Take this one for an example, a 20x20 cm wedding booklet that consists information on the packages available for wedding bookings in Hotel GranDhika Iskandarsyah Jakarta.

Aside from marketing tasks, Farrell is also given a task (or a privilege as he would like to think) to design the draft for the upcoming hotel project De Pangrango Hotel, a collaboration by Hotel GranDhika and Pangrango.
14
The design process of the logo itself has its own challenges. At the time, there are still some option on how the hotel will be called as you can saw on the picture 1. The visuals and the logo of the hotel itself needed some options. As the hotel placed on the city of Bekasi, the first logo Farrell made was inspired by the landmark of the Bekasi, the ‘Bambu Runcing’ the marks of patriots. Patriots is also the nickname of the Bekasi City.
Graphic Design
The other challenge is that Pangrango Hotel group has not yet has its own design branding establishment, so that the second option of the logo is more inspired by the lotus of the GranDhika hotel. The lotus is modified to a simpler design with a different shades of red to add depths to its looks.
Farrell Jeremiah’s Portfolio
As for the final draft submission, Farrell needed to create four different options, as you can see above, the number 3 is the base GranDhika logo, the number 4 is the new logo but only with the type, the number 5 is the ‘Bamboo House’ concept logo, and the number 6 is the ‘Red Lotus’ concept logo.

The branding of Bridges Upscaled only uses the blue as the main color of the brand, representing the professionality and the simplicity of Bridges. The rounded shape (as requested by the owner) was often used as the design language in various forms, in solid shapes, outlines, and others.
The goal of the branding is to provide a professional yet also modern and sleek design. By using the font weight and exploratively using the extended-formed font, Bridges have created a modern feeling without disturbing the core idea of the professional design.

Calnomy (2017)
As Farrell’s first ever branding project, calnomy asked to have a simple and elegant design with a splash of green. He used gradients and circular shapes as an added elements to the design to keep the packaging and marketing content interesting, while simple and friendly to the eye.
Colaborators: Ezra Valentino Dimas Kusuma Deviana Widyasari

The idea is to create an affordable calculator for students, with clean and sleek design, using green accent. The branding emphasize on the calculator itself as the main elements of the design.

Pola Studios (2021)
Pola Studios is a fashion brand started by Farrell and his friends. Established in 2020, Pola Studios tries to deliver a message of being true to oneself and to be confident with one’s style preference. A playful, absurd, and colourful design is how the brand Pola wanted to look. Eventhough, Pola needed a simple logo, but enough to show them they have something special and distinctive. A logo of a P letter and a sparks represents how Pola is ‘sparkling’ with ideas and fun concepts.

As the Pola Studios represents freedom in fashion, Farrell felt that it was needed to play bright colors, and mix it also with the toned down one. As for example, the volume 2 of Pola mixes the bright warms and the toned down blues and greens.

Logofolio
A logo, the birth marks of a brand, sometimes got overlooked by the brands. Farrell has a thought that logo is one of (if not the most) important thing one should put deep thoughts in creating a brand.
As his design journey goes throughout his college years, Farrell has created and collaborated with other people in creating logo for brands and submitting logo for competitions (number 4 and 5).

Infographics As a young architect, infographics are essentials to communicate findings in design phases. As for example, infographics can communicate data gathered and the idea of the proposed design. Therefore, the infographics that Farrell made throughout his college years is more architecture oriented.
The infographics made by Farrell usually based on a 3D design. It usually more communicates the quality of space. As we can see on the third and fourth picture it communicates the quantity of bicycle which effects the quality of the Shibuya pedestrian area. While the first picture gives us the detail on bikes on pedestrians.

3D Rendering
Farrell also excels in doing 3d rendering. For him, one of the most important thing from rendering is how the image can capture the ambience of the objects. It’s also need to capture closely and detailed about the objects in frame.
