GLITCH. S/S’19
Michaela Punnett
GLITCH. The concept ‘Glitch’ is based on technical glitches, for example, the no signal messages on an old television, the white noise, the static and the fuzz that you would see on old Video Tapes. I chose this as a concept as it is loosely based on those who suffer from Blackouts, the feeling of your body ‘glitching’ and then restarting again after a few seconds. The concept is also clashed with the muse, Louise Brooks who was a famous actress in the 1920’s. This is where the silhouette for the collection comes in. By mixing the 20’s silhouette with the technological glitches for print and colour inspiration, it has allowed me to create a collection that is both quirky and colourful.
