yewear is known as jewellery for the face. Instantly it can transform a look without breaking the bank. But with so many options available how do you choose one that is ultimately amazing? Simply put, it's when one of the great stylists from our country collaborate with a sunglass brand to create a limited edition statement that is highly covetable. Local Supply is celebrating Romy Frydman's influential style with the perfect excessive accessory. As one of Australia's most recognisable stylists and creative directors along with also being the founder and editor of highly regarded fashion blog, StyleMeRommy.com, it comes as no surprise that these frames are everything. Following the success of the SMR Gold's last year, Local Supply and Romy have teamed up again to create a unique pair of Matte White-Gold frames coupled with Silver High-Shine Reflector lenses. Introducing the “SMR Silver, inspired by the glamour of the 1980's. This collection is strictly limited. Only 200 pairs will be available for purchase. Oh, and if that's not enough, Sydney socialites and creative talents such as Camilla Freeman-Topper, Dion Lee, Kym Ellery, Samara Weaving, Jodhi Meares, Montana Cox, Lucy Kemp, Julian Tobias, Daimon Downey, The Stenmark Twins and Romy Frydman are fronting the campaign. lirting with kink, Lucy Folk revels in her teenage years, paying homage to the lust and frivolity of the early 90's whilst giving it up for a moment of weakness with her latest collection: POISON IVY. Fraught with the mischief, POISON IVY is the queen of seductive dalliances, balancing good and evil while pushing the boundaries of youthful disobedience. This season's Lucy Folk offering dishes up more than ever before, leaving one with the feeling that more is never enough, and naughty is the new age.

Aruna Seth INTERVIEW S TA C E Y O ’ K E E F F E

runa Seth has recently announced that www.thewhitecollection.com.au is now stocking their gorgeous shoes in Australia. Future brides and lovers of beautiful heels can now join the likes of Pippa Middleton and Katherine Heigl as they slip on thir own pair of stunning heels. We sat down with the designer, Aruna Seth to talk about how her work has evolved, where she finds her inspiration and what's next. Aruna Seth is now stocked in Australia on www.thewhitecollection.com.au! What made you decide that they were the perfect fit? The White Collection is a beautiful website and Aruna Seth shoes are beautiful so we were a perfect match! 11
How has your work evolved over the years? AS: We've evolved our crystal butterfly shoes but we have stuck to our design beliefs. The butterfly shoes have been interpreted into our beautiful Mezza Farfalla shoes, which are a pointy toe heel with an construal of the beautiful butterfly along the side of the foot. We really listen to our clients and our stores too. We've adapted many of the colours of the shoes in response to client demands! Almost every style is made in ivory to accommodate brides. What's the most popular style from Aruna Seth? AS: The butterfly Farfalla shoes are the most popular pair of shoes hands-down. We've created [this style] in tons of different colours, leathers, satins and even snake-skin to keep up with all the demands! Are you always drawing and designing? AS: Yes! Often the shoes are inspired by the places I visit. I am half Indian and India is always a great place to visit to take in the vivid colours, jewels and crystals to inspire my next shoe collections. If I catch myself in a moment when I feel inspired by something, I will sit down and draw a design, even if it's just a small detail ... Later, I would polish it and source the fabrics to make sure the final design will turn out the way I envision it.
What makes your shoes so special? AS: My vision was to create the most beautiful shoes in the whole world with the best materials and fabrics. We like to be different from other designers due to the comfort factor. All of our shoes are specially padded with a cushioned sock to give a cashmere like comfort to the feet. Brides especially love our shoes as they are comfortable for all day wear. We aspired to be a designer brand of shoes that were stylish and comfortable. What's next? AS: We have grown internationally at Aruna Seth shoes and we have stockists all over the world. The brand has achieved a great deal from being stocked in Harrods and we are launching in Neiman Marcus in the US at the end of this year! The only country we have left to conquer is Asia and we'd love a huge stockist out there. My one desire is to grow into a luxury brand and be remembered! I also want to stick close to the values I had when I started Aruna Seth shoes and that is to create beautiful shoes.

ho doesn't want that gorgeous, Victoria Secret, relaxed wave? It looks effortless but what's the secret to sexy, envious locks that are a perfectly tousled? Well, we are absolutely sure that it's all in tools that are used. We've stumbled across Cloud Nine's amazing Waving Wand and the result is incredibly fabulous! So without further ado, in six steps you can get that covetable look that will take you from a casual brunch to a fabulous girlsnight-out. HOW TO: Mid Length Wave HERO PRODUCT: The Waving Wand, $320.00 STYLE: 1. Prep dry hair by sectioning out the top of the head from temple to temple. Split bottom section at the back of the head and clip away. 2. Spritz ends with some water and light styling spray before blow-drying in large sections with a paddle brush to get a smooth finish on the ends. 3. Start on one side and work your way around to the other. Take large vertical sections. Wrap hair around once and let set for a full 10 seconds. Release section and let cool. 4. Every two curls brush them together and clip up while warm. Leave ends out. 5. Once back and sides are set, drop top section down and repeat technique. Once hair is set, you should have approximately 6-8 big curls pinned up. 6. Once all hair is cool, release from pins and spray with a light hold spray for style support. Use a bristle brush-to-brush wave together and finish.

re you time poor? Do you enjoy online shopping? Then welcome to the online movement driving structural change within retail offerings.
WORDS B R O O K E PA G O T T O 18
We live in a day and age where fashion is available to us anywhere, anytime, and as such virtual boutiques are growing at an exponential rate paving the way for the future. Gone are the days when you planned your Saturday morning trip to your local shopping centre, hello to shopping with ease, whenever you please! You can now purchase the products you use every day, from skin care and fragrances, to fake eye lashes and hair removal. All without having to make it to the shops in your lunch break, or after work. For those Women (and men) who are time poor, whether it is due to increased work demands, family needs, or a failure to prioritise within a schedule, or those who simply don't like a jaunt to the mall, finding an online destination you can trust and utilise is crucial. The online environment dominates the traditional marketplace for a number of reasons: ·
CONVENIENCE
- where customers can purchase with ease, all within the comfort of your own home.
·
COST SAVINGS – I am not just talking about the reduced retail prices of your favourite moisturiser or fragrance, shopping online saves you the cost of getting to the stores as well (whether that be fuel and parking costs or public transport costs). Let's not forget about the most precious resource valuable to mankind – TIME! You do not have to stand in line, wait at the counter or battle other shoppers for that last item on the shelf.
·
VARIETY PLUS UNLIMITED AVAILABILITY – virtual stores are graced with unlimited (to a certain degree) shelf space, allowing you to peruse a wider variety of products. Let's face it, no one likes running to the next store to get that last item in the state!
·
NO PRESSURE – in a virtual marketplace, there is no salesperson hovering over your shoulder pressuring you to buy that product. You don't work to their sales budgets!
·
COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE – shopping online eliminates the need to travel from store to store to compare and achieve the best price!
Finding an online beauty destination that offers the best range of quality beauty, skincare and fragrance favourites with authentic and genuine brands can be quite difficult. However, with the launch of Beauty HQ (the latest virtual beauty destination to enter the market) you can now find brands you love at prices you'll love! Providing a range of skincare, tanning, hair, men & women fragrance, body care, eye and lash and hair removal products - Beauty HQ is one of the new online destinations you simply CANNOT live without. As a central hub with major beauty labels, Beauty HQ also offers a new platform for beauty gurus to share their reviews and offer tips, alongside an “In the Know” blog that will keep you up to date with all things beauty and lifestyle. See prices drop on popular fragrance, hair care and skincare with 20% off site wide until 31 July 2015. For a full list of beauty labels stocked by Beauty HQ please visit www.beautyhq.com.au

major international exhibition featuring two of the most significant artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries – Andy Warhol and Ai Weiwei – will open at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), Melbourne, in December 2015, and The Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh, in June 2016. Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei, developed by the NGV and The Warhol, with the participation of Ai Weiwei, will explore the significant influence of these two exemplary artists on modern and contemporary life, focussing on the parallels, intersections and points of difference between the two artists' practices. Surveying the scope of both artists' careers, the exhibition at the NGV will present over 300 works, including major new commissions, immersive installations and a wide representation of paintings, sculpture, film, photography, publishing and social media. Presenting the work of both artists' in dialogue and correspondence, the exhibition will explore modern and contemporary art, life and cultural politics through the activities of two exemplary figures – one of whom represents twentieth century modernity and the 'American century'; and the other contemporary life in the twenty-first century and what has been heralded as the 'Chinese century' to come. Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei continues the NGV's recently established Contemporary Summer Series, and will occupy all of the major exhibition galleries on the ground floor at NGV International over the summer of 2015–16.
