‫القصيدةُ املِئوية‬ Qasida Me’awiyya 100-‐Verse Qasida composed by Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS in shaan of Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin RA on his 100th Milad, 20 Rabi ul Akhar 1432H/2011 with a pictorial presentation that highlights some of the milestones of Syedna Burhanuddin’s era. This 100-‐verse qasida was composed in 1432H/2011 by Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS on the occasion of the 100th Milad Mubarak of Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin RA. Syedna Qutbuddin offered a ziyafat of shukur to Syedna Burhanuddin at Saify Mahal on this occasion, in which he recited a selection of verses from the qasida. The qasida is in the Fatimid-‐Tayyibi tradition of praise, an eloquent articulation of the veneration and esteem in which Syedna Burhanuddin was held by his Mazoon. It chronicles the magniVicent celebrations of Syedna Burhanuddin’s 100thmilad in Mumbai. It also catalogs Syedna Burhanuddin’s monumental achievements in his years as Dai. Embedded within the qasida are sincere expressions of doctrine and devotion. It ends with a heartfelt declaration of Videlity and adoration. The qasida may be divided into Vive parts: 1. A Milestone Reserved: Hundred Great Years (verses 1-‐3) 2. Jubilation: The Hundredth Milad Celebrations (verses 4-‐34) 3. Syedna Burhanuddin’s Era: Monumental Achievements (verses 35-‐50) 4. A Milestone Reserved: Hundred Great Years (verses 1-‐3)

Honored in Allah’s Preserved Tablet, Lawh e Mahfuz a noble Dai!

On the most joyous occasion of the 100th Milad Mubarak of al-‐Dai-‐l-‐ Muqaddas Vi Aala Illiyyeen Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA), in the waaz mubarak in Saifee Masjid on the day of Milad Mubarak, Syedna Burhanuddin (RA) addressed the mumineen saying ‘Tamne sagla ne mein Muʿanaqo karu chhu’ (‘I embrace each and every one of you’). At that moment, his Mazoon-‐e-‐Dawat Syedna Qutbuddin (TUS) immediately performed shukur no sajdo, and seeing this manzar, everyone in the majlis performed sajda. Immediately after waaz mubarak, Aqa Burhanuddin (RA) called upon his Mazoon-‐e-‐Dawat to ascend the Takht and embraced him in Muʿanaqa. Rabiul Aakhar 20, 1436H/ 2011

Syedna Burhanuddin and Syedna Qutbuddin in Jamea Anwar during Lailatul Qadr namaz in 1401H. Syedna Burhanuddin renovated Jamea Anwar and performed the opening in 1400H. He delivered Ashara Mubaraka wa’az and also observed Lailatul Qadr there. Syedna Qutbuddin accompanied Syedna Burhanuddin in all these momentous occasions With the barakat of Jamea Anwar Syedna Burhanuddin also renovated Jamea Aqmar, Masjid al-‐Juyushi and Masjid al-‐Lulu’a and hundreds of Masjids were built all over the world.

Syedna Burhanuddin constructed Rozat Tahera -‐ the Qubba Mubaraka of Syedna Taher Saifuddin, where the entire Quran Majeed is engraved in marble.

The Quran Majeed now shades the qabar mubarak of Syedna Taher Saifuddin and Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin. Syedna Burhanuddin constructed many other qubba mubarakas during his reign.

Syedna Burhanuddin also constructed the Qubba Mubaraka of Syedna Hatim in Hutaib, Yemen (Left) and Syedna Idris Imaduddin in Shibam, Yemen (above) -‐ amongst many others.

The zarih that was on the mihrab earlier was also presented by Syedna Burhanuddin in 1394H/ 1974. For the iftitah of the Virst zarih Syedna Burhanuddin had sent his Mazoon and Mansoos, Syedna Qutbuddin.

‫ف نَيلِ عِلمِ آلِ طه هَيــام‬ The Wise Remembrance, the Quran, praises him how could my tongue aspire to it?

ْ‫متدحُه الذّكرُ احلَكيــــمُ فَعَن‬

‫ثناءِ عُليــــاه لســــاني كَهـام‬ Praising him is faith and virtue all other talk just sound and noise

‫مَديحُـــه دينٌ وفَضْـــلٌ وغَيــــــ‬ ‫ــرُه حَديثُ اللﱠهوِ صَوتُ بُغام‬

‫فَـــــــــاهَ به مُبَشْبِشـــــاً كُلّ الم‬ ً‫وهَطَلَتْ بسُوحِــــــــهِ دائِمــــــا‬ ‫غُيُوثُ ميُْـــــــنٍ وهَنـــاً وسَالم‬

‫ـنٍ وأتى مُحَمﱠــــــداً باتّســــام‬ We place our trust in Mustafa and his progeny May Salaam, peace greetings of al-‐Salaam, the Peaceful One, always envelop them May our Lord bestow Salawat on our Dai z zaman Mohammad forever—as long as L comes after K
