SURPRISINGLY, the famous Death Eater Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban.
On Halloween night of 1981, Sirius went to Peter Pettigrew's hideout but didn’t find it. Disconcerted by the lack of signs of struggle, Sirius frantically went to the Godric Valley, meeting the Potter house destroyed and dead, only the baby Harry was alive. When the ministry arrived, they saw Sirius laughing out loud in front of the victims of Pettigrew's explosion and finger, and they took him for a madman. Sirius was arrested and was sentenced without trial to Azkaban for the murder of Pettigrew an d the victim s of the bla s t for rev ea l ing information ab out the whereabouts of the Potters that led to his death and for serving Lord Voldemort. He spent the next twelve years in solitary confinement at the mercy of the guards of Azkaban, the Dementors. Sirius' escape has been legendary. Just a few nights ago, he became the first known person to have escaped from Azkaban in all of history
Sirius Black III (November 3, 1959 - June 18, 1996), also known as Padfoot, was a pure blood wizard, son of Orion and Walburga Black and elder brother of Regulus. Although he was the heir of th e Bl a c k Fa m i l y , Si r i u s di s a g r e e d wi t h hi s family's belief in the purity of blood defying his family by being placed in Gryffindor rather than Slytherin at Hogwarts School of Magic and Wizardry, which he attended Between 1971 and 1978. As Sirius' relationship with his fam ily deteriorated, he created a close friendship with Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew and especially James Potter. The four friends, also known as The Marauders, joined the Order of the Phoenix to fight Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters d u r i n g t h e F i r s t M a g i c W a r .

More details about what happened in Hogwarts is still coming in. But we seem to have a basic understanding of what happened: Harry Potter, on his search for Horcruxes, (see pa g e 2) dec i d e d th e la s t on e s mu st be in Hogwarts. So he and his friend arrived unnoticed at first and snooped around, searching for the last two Horcruxes. But they were caught later on by one of the Voldemort´s followers and the Death Eater sent out a signal to Voldemort. Professor McGonagall decides to have the school fo r t i f i e d an d pr e p a r ed for ba t t l e ag a i n s t Voldemort and his forces. Harry Potter and his friend, through yet unknown means, destroyed one of the Horcruxes and had yo destroy the last one: the snake that followed Voldemort. But Voldemort didn’t allow him and the two sides clashed Hogwarts and the Order of the Phoenix vs. Death Eater. The battle didn’t look so well for the school and many people had died in the fighting. But as more and more help arrived, the fighting tide began to turn. In the midst of the battle, Harry Potter’s friend, Neville destroys the last Horcrux and Harry faces off with Voldemort. It seemed like Voldemort had used a killing curse, bu t Harry Potter used a disarming charm. Reasons are still unclear how Harry Potter could use a simple disarming charm to destroy the almighty Voldemort. But then again, Harry Potter is the child of the prophecy and he is the wizard destined to kill Voldemort.
