Trentyn Tennant Western Region Vice-President-OR @tennant_fbla

Trentyn Tennant will be a Senior at La Pine high school this fall and will With prices in central districts

graduate with the class of 2019. He began FBLA as a freshman due to the wise words of his older brother “ What's the worst that is gonna happen?” Since then he has grown a beloved passion for the program and is excited to represent, motivate, and grow both himself as well as all other members. Hearing ideas in unheard voices, he decided he wanted to be a representative for the members to amplify their voice, becoming this year's Western Region Vice President. Trentyn is a City Councilor for the City of La Pine, an athlete, and the student representative for the Tobacco Prevention Committee of Oregon. He is also a member of Student Senate for his high school and has participated in 4 - H for the past 6 years. He plans on majoring in Political Sciences with a minor in Business Management. Trentyn believes that “Everything in life is what you make it. You speak for your future and I believe that FBLA truly gives you that voice.”

Rishab Balakrishnan Executive Assistant-UT @rish_fbla

Meet Rishab (or Rish)! He is currently a Junior at Hillcrest High School, and absolutely loves FBLA. He has been a member since his Freshman year, and has had the awesome opportunity to attend the NLC for the past two years. Rishab also serves in other leadership positions in his school, and plans on using this experience to elevate the Western Region to new heights. Outside of school, Rishab practices Tae-Kwon Do (in which he is a black-belt) and the art of napping. Rishab is super excited to be the Western Region Vice-President’s Executive Assistant this year, and plans on improving opportunities for our members through a diverse set of initiatives.

Victor Ye is the Western Region Communications Director from California FBLA. As a junior, he has been involved in FBLA for 3 years, attending more than 7 conferences and placing as a national finalist for Client Service in Baltimore this summer. Through FBLA, he has gained insight hearing from everyone's experiences and networked with many talented individuals from across the United States. Outside of FBLA, he is very involved in music, playing violin at the Pantheon in Italy, and running his education nonprofit InnovaYouth. He is excited to work with state officers to create a region wide initiative for FBLA members and help chapters understand national FBLA programs!

Roma Bekedar Membership Director-CA @romabekedarfbla

Meet Roma Bedekar, She is pumped to be serving as one of your Membership Directors this year! She has been in FBLA for three years now and she serves as her chapter's Middle Level Liaison. Her favorite experiences in FBLA include both her first regional conference and this past National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, where she got to network with fellow members from around the country and attend fascinating workshops. She hopes to make some real change for the western/"best"ern region this year.

Kayla Damian Membership Director-NV @kayladamian.fbla

Kayla has been dedicated to FBLA since freshman year, pursuing officer positions and taking any opportunity she can to be involved. FBLA has been the backbone of Kayla’s high school career. Through the Western Region Council, Kayla hopes to grow our membership and show all students everything FBLA can do for them.

Helen Tran Social Media Director-WA @helenfbla

Helen Tran has been involved in FBLA since freshman making this term her second year in FBLA. Through experiences with working in a team, competing, and attending conferences, her passion for FBLA and business overall has grown tremendously. As the social media director for the Western region, she hopes to network with more people in FBLA and explore what this organization has in store. On her free time, Helen enjoys taking pictures, going out to eat, and drinking boba!

Brian Sung Middle Level Ambassador-OR @sung_fbla

Brian Sung is serving as the 2018-2019 Western Region Middle Level Ambassador. Although a two year member of FBLA, he has already achieved his Future level Business Achievement Award, National Business Honor Roll, and became his chapter’s Vice President all within the year he joined FBLA. With a business administration career path in mind, Brian plans to attend University of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2019 to further educate himself and to minimize the flaws in his ability to serve others. Setting his sights on attaining a Doctorate of Business Administration, he can absolutely confirm this statement about being a FBLA member: “Sometimes I make a mistake and let people down, but FBLA has never let my expectation and I down.”

The components of this new project are comprised of: A monthly newsletter with Chapter and State Spotlights. A website to centralize communication . A blog to inform members about our current projects and initiatives. A social media presence, through the development of interactive programs to connect with members. A way of creating transparency by allowing members to contact us directly.
