We are proud to announce that we will be hosting our Q&A session sometime in late January or early February of this year. The Q&A will take place on Instagram, and will be also recorded and posted on our official Western Region Council Youtube channel. To help the Q&A session run smoothly we will be accepting questions both before and during the session. We hope you are enjoying the programs and initiatives we are working on. THE ACTION AWARENESS NATIONAL PROGRAM by Rishab Balakrishnan Western Region Executive Assistant
The Action Awareness national program is a part of the FBLA Chapter Challenge and focuses on developing marketing and public speaking skills in your members through an awareness campaign for FBLA. Members plan various activitiess for important events such as CTE Month (February) and FBLA-PBL week. Completing the Action Awareness national program allows your chapter to gain exclusive ribbons to wear at the NLC (National Leadership Conference). Here is an idea of some of the activities you will need to complete for this program: Design a flyer, poster, or bulletin board promoting FBLA Organize a second semester recruitment drive Participate in the Good Neighbor Project (go.fbla.org/goodneighbor) Invite a professional to speak to your chapter Participate in the National President's Forum on February 4th More information about this National Program can be found here: bit.ly/actionawareness

1. Determine from the rating sheets and guidelines the areas that will be judged and the weight given to each area. 2. Make certain that the copies of materials to be submitted to judges are error-free and in the proper format. 3. Contact former and current chapter members who have entered this event in previous years. 4. If you are competing in a role play event, be sure to perform in front of your friends and family to become confident and prepared. We had a record amount of national qualifiers to Baltimore this past summer, and we hope to continue growing the number of students attending NLC.
