Pray for the Wolseley staff who travels with vehicles, busses, aeroplanes to the biannual FCE staff conference at Koti ni Eden in Zambia. Pray for safe journeys, travel mercies and that the buses and aeroplanes will be on time.
Today is the official opening of FCE’s bi-annual staff conference. We are before the Lord with an expectation in our hearts that God will reveal Himself to us, minister to us and prepare us through His Word and His Holy Spirit for the coming year.
Pray for the Zambian teams who are hosting the conference. Those who are responsible for accommodation, meals, and conference venue.
Ask God to protect us against any ailments, accidents and especially malaria during this time so that all of us can pay our undivided attention to and be actively involved in the programme.
Fifteen staff members Birthday: John Chitambo and students are leaving Pray for him as he has for Thailand. For months God to make important decisions in has prepared them to go on the regards to his future. Golden Triangle, through His grace He provided for them, now is the time to step out in faith to be broken bread and crushed vines for those who seek God.
Birthday: Elma du Toit is involved as a lecturer at the Teacher Training College and the Discipleship Courses.
Praise the Lord for all the souls that once were lost but now are found through the efforts of FCE and our prayer supporters. Thank Him for giving us the nations so that we can make disciples of Jesus Christ and prepare them to go and preach the gospel.
Piet and Elma are moving to Zambia to assist Anita Grobler as the plans are to incorporate all FCE training under the umbrella of the Training College and not only the training of teachers. Pray that God will give us wisdom for this challenge.
FCE is blessed because of the prayer supporters who believe in our calling, who are willing to serve us in many ways, who take co-responsibility for the vision and for your undivided loyalty and support. God bless you all!!! Thank you
Birthday: Senti comes from Nagaland. He is busy with the Hospitality and Tourism Training.
Corrie v.d. Westhuizen recently has been diagnosed with breast cancer. This came as a huge blow to them as a family and to all of us. Presently they are in Canada where she is undergoing tests and medical examinations. Cry out to the Lord for her healing. Staff and students are on holiday visiting family and friends. Ask God to bless their fellowship and to strengthen relationships. Pray that the Spirit of Christ in them will reflect in their visits, talks and fun times.
For unto us a CHILD is born, Unto us a Son is given: And His name will be called: Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Is. 9:6 -7)
Pray for Neels de Jager who has to organise the programme for the staff and for the children. Ask God to make His plans for the conference known to the leaders and to prepare the hearts of the staff for what God wants to reveal to the FCE body.
. Pray for Corrie’s parents, Glen and Erma Whetter from Canada, and Jaco’s parents, Izak and Elise v.d. Westhuizen, from Carnarvon. Ask God to give them His peace and to strengthen them during this time of uncertainty.
Some of the staff need to stay at the different training centres to keep the daily activities running. Christine Kleynhaus will continue with the daily tasks at the office at Koti ni Eden.
Ndanji, Brian and Barbara’s daughter, is celebrating Christmas in Australia far away from home. Some of our staff members and the volunteers from abroad are also far away from family and friends. Ask God to comfort them.
SATURDAY
For the next two days the co-ordinators of the Discipleship Mission Training Advanced gather to re-evaluate the course material and the curriculum. Our aim with this course is to equip missionaries to be effective on the mission field.
Pray for Jaco and Corries’ children Danielle (4 yr), James (2 yr) and Kallie Lee (6 months). Ask God to bind them together as a family and to shelter them in His love.
Pray for God’s blessing on the two biltong shops, the biltong factory in Tulbagh that provides the stock, and the different guesthouses. Pray for the staff who manages our business during the festive season. May the way they serve the clients and the guest be a testimony. Some of FCE’s staff children prepare to change schools in 2013. Pray for Carel Nel, Annika Pretorius and Andrea Bezuidenhout. Gert and Janine need to find a school for Amy and Daniel in Somerset West.
Ask God to protect us against any plans of the enemy to steal from what the Lord has in store for all of us at the conference. Pray that our hearts and minds will stay focused on Him only.
Pray for the children of the staff. Many of them are teenagers now and at times they struggle to find their place in the FCE body. Pray that the Lord will protect His calling on their lives and that this conference will give them an understanding of God’s calling on their parents’ lives.
Continue to pray for the group who is travelling on the Golden Triangle. They are on a tight budget, ask God to protect them, to use them and to provide in all their needs. Their aim is to call in the nations – ask God to direct them to those who are seeking God. Joe and Aletta are on their way to join Moses and Regina at the Training Centre in Malawi. Pray for unity, for establishing sound relationships, and for openess to the guidance of the Spirit of the Lord as they seek to serve the people of Malawi.
december 2012
Gert Basson and the King’s Highway Hospitality Team meet to plan strategically for 2013. Gert and his family are going to manage the King’s Highway Guesthouse in Somerset West during 2013, while Riëtte Cilliers will be free to spend time at the different King’s Highways locations in Namibia, Zambia and Malawi. Today is the conclusion of the conference. We have experienced a closeness with Jesus on the mountain top and now we need to return to the valley. Ask God that all of us will leave with an urgency to bring the Nations into God’s Kingdom by proclaiming Jesus as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Neels are back after two months in Europe. The Lord directed his ways and the outflow of his visits are seen in the people who are coming to FCE to be trained, to serve as volunteers, to take responsibility of projects and to be challenged to GO!!!! Sixteen students applied to do the 3 months Discipleship-Mission Training in Wolseley in January. Pray for them as they prepare to leave their homes, their countries, their work to be obedient to God. Ask God to provide in their financial needs and to meet their spiritual needs during the course.
