A Night with George Written by Brenda Murphy, Directed by Tony Devlin. Produced by Brassneck Theatre Company Fresh Claim Gallery, King Street, 8pm
Not every woman gets to spend a night with George Clooney, but Bridie Murphy does! Let’s face it, Bridie’s life hasn’t been all parties and premieres like George’s, but it’s a life full of drama nonetheless. Bridie was quite happy to stay in the one place she felt safe and happy, with the family she adores, but events conspired against her. She is forced to accept change, whether she likes it or not. In a period when Ireland is finding a new identity, Bridie has to accept that her family have forged new identities also. She takes George on the journey of her life, the lows and the hilarious highs, and charts the course to her unlikely future. ‘A Night With George’ is a new and indigenous piece of drama, brought to you by the West Belfast Theatre Company Brassneck. It represents a fresh and new direction, while challenging established and malignant viewpoints, with the allimportant razor sharp black Belfast humour as a navigational tool. Admission - £6 at door.
Má tá drama amháin le feiceáil agat i mbliana, gabh chuig an ceann seo, an dráma is greannmhaire dá bhfacthas le fada an lá ach a bhfuil doimhneacht agus briseadh croí ann chomh maith. Is tour de force aisteoireachta é A Night with George ag Donna O’Connor. Ná caill é ar ór nó ar airgead
