REFRAME T H E AT R E Every creation of theatre work is a new and unique experience. Every work therefore experiences a new process of reframing. Reframe Theatre aims at exploring new writing, scenography, relationship between body and space and is established by Pat To Yan who is a playwright,

director and the part-time university lecturer. The British renowned playwright and critic, Dan

Rebellato describes Pat To Yan as a ‘talented, engaged, enthusiastic, committed playwright whose work is extremely interesting, mixing the political and personal with power and effect’.

A CONCISE HISTORY OF FUTURE CHINA 未來簡史 ‘Resist any linear narrative dramaturgy, using highly concentrated poetical interweaving to elaborate the cruel phantasms of a contemporary society of asynchronies.’ Kathrin Roggla (Jury member of Berliner Festspiele Theatertreffen Stuckemarkt)

‘The project was very ambitious and impressively critically grounded.’ Elaine McGirr (Senior Lecturer, Royal Holloway, The University of London) ‘It is no doubt that Mr Yan’s literary skills is top-notch. Not only he manages to structure such a concept that is hard to execute, but his writing gives a refreshing tone. To me, it is a mixed vibe of lyrical subtlety in Chinese literature, German seriousness, and British humour.’ Clement Lee (Researcher, Critic, Writer, Director)
