Sand down any rough edges on the length of wood. Dust with a cloth, and apply wood stain with a brush. Allow to dry. Next, draw mountain shapes with snowcaps on the bottom half of the length of wood. Draw around a cup at the top to create a moon, and use a stencil to add some different-sized stars. Paint the mountains in different shades of grey, and add white snowcaps. Paint the moon and stars in white. Leave to dry. Using a ruler and black marker pen, add the markers at 2.5cm intervals and then write the numbers every 30cm using the stencil.
