Many people don’t realise that funerals in Spain need to be arranged very quickly, often within 24 to 48 hours. This can be overwhelming for grieving families, especially if they are unfamiliar with the process. By planning ahead, individuals can ensure that their wishes are met, their family is not burdened with tough decisions, and they lock in today’s prices, avoiding rising costs in the future.
We have four main plans:
1. Direct Cremation (€2,250) – A simple, low-cost option for an unattended cremation.
2. Terracotta Plan (€3,150) – Covers all funeral arrangements but without a ceremony.
3. Granite Plan (€3,550) – Our most comprehensive plan, including a ceremony so loved ones can properly say goodbye.
4. Marble Plan (€5,999) - This is a perfect solution for those who wish to be repatriated to their home country.
All our clients need to do is call the 24-hour bereavement helpline. They will take care of everything, including arranging for a Funeral Director to collect the deceased, typically within three hours.
If someone relocates permanently to the UK, their plan will transfer at no extra cost to one of Compares UK partners, who are fully regulated.
We cater to both cremation and burial. The plans can be changed at any time, though we do not provide the burial plot or niche. So, if someone is undecided, they don’t need to worry—they have flexibility.
Families will receive a death certificate in both Spanish and English. Additionally, they provide a cremation certificate, which allows ashes to be transported on a plane.
The funds are completely safe. Compare Funerals do not hold onto the money. Instead, it is placed in a separate trust account, ensuring that if Compare Funerals were to stop operating, the money remains secure.
Each funeral plan can include up to two named individuals. The plan will be used for whoever passes first, offering greater flexibility.
Planning ahead gives you peace of mind, ensures your wishes are respected, and protects your family from financial and emotional stress. Plus, with funeral costs rising, locking in today’s price can save thousands in the long run.

As much as I would like to put in an official complaint about the weather, the rain is needed. Some of the reservoirs have benefited, with some even overflowing, but others are still way below the average level. The Alicante region reservoirs are still less than 30% full at the time of going to press so we still need to be mindful when using water. Our present dog is the first one we have had that does not mind the rain. All the others have happily snuggled into their spot refusing to go out for a walk if there is as much as a spot. Not this one. It can be pouring down and she still looks hopefully and then increasingly more accusingly if we don't take her out. Being long haired we now have wet dog smell following us around, but at last I can justify buying my beautiful flowery wellies.
Again there is so much going on this month including Easter which will see many of us having visitors. If you are religious or not the Easter processions really are quite something.
Take extra time when going out and remember to take your patience with you, getting from A to B and parking will probably take longer, but you will get there less stressed if the journey is done calmly.
Until next time, take care and be kind.
Pick up your next issue on 1 May.

Purchasing an off-plan property in Spain can be an exciting investment opportunity, especially with the limited stock in the resale market. However, it requires careful planning and due diligence to ensure a smooth process. In this blog, we’ll explore the main considerations for buying off-plan property, including costs, legal obligations and tips for protecting your investment.
Why Off-Plan Properties Are Popular
With limited resale properties available, off-plan developments have surged in popularity. Buying off-plan allows you to secure a brand-new property, often at a lower price during the early stages of development. It also provides the flexibility to choose designs and layouts that suit your needs.
Key Considerations When Buying Off-Plan
Purpose
Decide whether the property will be for personal use, rental income, or a combination of both. This decision impacts the ownership structure (personal name vs. company name) and potential tax implications.
In Costa Blanca, both resale and off-plan properties have a 10% tax, with an additional 1.2% stamp duty for new builds. Stage payments are common for off-plan purchases, typically requiring 30% upfront and the balance upon completion.
Research the Developer
Investigate the developer’s reputation. Check previous projects for quality, timelines and customer satisfaction. Confirm that the developer has secured planning permission to avoid potential delays or legal issues.
continued on next page
Spanish law mandates bank guarantees or insurance for off-plan payments. These protect your funds if the developer cannot complete the project. Ensure these guarantees are in place before making any payments.
Reviewing the Contract
Contracts for off-plan purchases differ significantly from resale agreements. Key clauses to review include:
• Penalties for missed payments.
• Compensation for delays in property delivery.
• Snagging clauses for addressing minor defects.
• Snagging and Long-Term Protection
Before completion, inspect the property for defects. Developers typically allow 15-30 days for snagging issues. Additionally, Spanish law requires a 10-year insurance policy to cover structural defects.
Community and Utility Setup
Be aware of initial setup costs for community fees and utility contracts. Unlike resale properties, offplan buyers may face a delay in utility activation.
Holiday Rentals
Verify with the developer and local authorities whether holiday rentals are permitted. Increasing regulations by town halls may restrict rental activity in certain areas.
Spanish Will
Protect your investment by creating a Spanish will for your Spanish assets. This simplifies the inheritance process and ensures clarity in asset distribution.
Why Legal Advice Matters
Buying off-plan involves unique challenges. Collaborating with experienced legal professionals ensures your interests are protected at every stage, from reviewing contracts to checking planning permissions. If you’re considering buying off-plan property in Spain, our team is here to guide you. Contact us for personalised advice on ownership structures, legal safeguards and more.

Fatigue, a hidden danger on the road, is responsible for 20% to 30% of all accidents, according to Spain’s DirectorateGeneral for Traffic (DGT). It reduces your ability to concentrate, increasing the risk of collisions or veering off the road. At Generali Expatriates, we want to ensure you stay safe by explaining how fatigue affects your driving and the factors that contribute to tiredness behind the wheel.
How fatigue affects your driving
Fatigue slows your reactions, impairs vision, and leads to slower, less precise movements, putting you at greater risk. It can also cause headaches and discomfort, making driving more difficult. When you’re tired, you’re more likely to make risky decisions and misjudge other drivers’ actions.
What increases fatigue while driving?
Lack of rest
Take a break every two hours or 150 kilometres to combat tiredness.
Weather and lighting
Fog, rain, or driving at night or during dawn/sunset requires more concentration and leads to faster exhaustion.
Traffic and road conditions
Heavy traffic, poor roads, or mechanical issues in your car increase stress and fatigue.
High stress levels
Rushing or stressful driving situations lead to poor judgment and greater fatigue.
Stay safe with the right car insurance
Fatigue is just one risk you face on the road. At Generali Expatriates, we offer car insurance solutions tailored to your lifestyle. And now, take advantage of our cashback offer! We are offering a 10% cashback on your premium every time you take out a new car or home insurance policy with us—valid until May 26, 2025!

Icon resin infiltration is a new, minimally-invasive technique that can be used to mask permanent white or brown discolouration on your front teeth.
These types of stains can be frustrating as you or your teenager may have perfectly healthy, straight teeth but the appearance of them is tainted by white/brown marks. No amount of brushing or cleaning can remove this discolouration.
These stains are caused by one of the following:
• Excessive fluoride intake during tooth development
• Childhood illness
• Childhood medications
• After removal of fixed braces
• Decay that started in the past and has stopped
The procedure is completely painless as there is no need for anaesthetic or drilling and the results are instant. In one visit you can have your smile transformed.
We are proud to be one of the first practices in Spain to be offering this revolutionary new treatment that is already extremely popular in the US.
In certain cases, the resin infiltration can be used to halt the progression of early cavities.
Bespoke whitening is recommended in conjunction with the Icon fluorosis treatment to brighten the whole smile. More severe, deeper stains can be also easily treated with porcelain veneers in combination with whitening giving you a healthy looking smile in just a few weeks.

Most of us are self-conscious about our bodies, wanting to change things about it, and this includes our smile. Whether you simply want whiter teeth, repair a cracked tooth, replace a missing one, or a complete smile makeover, the cost does not need to be an obstacle as it is often less expensive than you think. Cosmetic dentistry refers to any process that is used to improve the look, functionality, and overall health of the teeth.
If you're planning on a completely new smile, you might want to consider a smile design consultation, our dentist will take into consideration your facial symmetry, alignment, and proportions to design the prefect smile for you. Believe it or not, those brilliant white smiles are not only for celebrities, as teeth whitening is extremely popular and cost effective. By simply professionally whitening your teeth, it can make you look years younger, as brighter whiter teeth are a sign of youth.
Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth-coloured covers that a dentist applies directly over existing teeth. They can be used to change the size and shape of teeth, cover surface flaws, close gaps between teeth, and change tooth colour for a more dazzling smile.

I'm tempted to say that galaxies began a long long time ago somewhere far far away, that would be true but it wouldn't help much. A galaxy is the name we give to any very large collection of stars that are held together by gravity. How many stars? Well, that can vary a lot, we're not even sure how many stars make up our home Milky Way galaxy because it's so difficult to count them but there's probably around the 200 to 300 billion of them.
It's very difficult to visualise just what those numbers mean, for most of us numbers like these are just too big. To help you visualise this, imagine stacking up a million pennies they would reach up over 1.5 kilometres. Do the same thing with a billion pennies, and they would be heading towards hundred kilometres, so 300 billion is a truly vast number of stars.
What shape is a galaxy? Most galaxies including our own are shaped like spirals with a central blob and some arms spiralling out. If you've ever looked at the sky on a truly clear dark night, you'll have noticed a smear of light arching across the sky, what is usually called the milky way. This is one of the spiral arms of our galaxy, look at it through a telescope and you'll see that the smear of light is made up of a vast number of stars a very long way away. Not all galaxies are spiral shaped, there are lenticular galaxies, lens shaped, irregular ones that have no particular shape, elliptical and rarely there are ring galaxies. How they all got into the shapes that we see them is a huge and sometimes debated subject, but generally a spiral galaxy gets that way through something called conservation of momentum which is a subject I'll save for another time. Suffice to say it's a bit like a spinning ice skater going faster as they bring their outstretched arms inwards.
Do galaxies collide? Yes they do, in a few billions of years we will collide with our nearest neighbour the Andromeda galaxy. It's no big deal though, mostly they just pass through each other, but gravity will scatter the stars all over the place.
I just said that the Andromeda galaxy is our nearest neighbour, but that's not strictly true, in the southern hemisphere you can see two irregularly shaped dwarf galaxies, the large and small Magellanic clouds. These are interesting places to an astronomer, they seem to have a lot of stuff in them that has yet to come together to form in to stars, and probably a lot of dark matter too, which is something else we really don't understand.
The evolution of galaxies since the big bang is a subject that is only partly understood, observations made by the James Webb telescope out in space have upset the apple-cart of knowledge, but I reckon that's a good thing. It's good the be reminded about how little we know and how much more there is yet to discover.
This month's picture of the whirlpool galaxy is by Ron Giddy, a fellow amateur in our group.

Did you know that maintaining excellent oral hygiene can significantly reduce your risk of heart disease and also strengthen your immune system? At Clinica Dental La Plaza, we understand the critical link between gum health and overall well-being, offering comprehensive dental care to safeguard both your smile and your heart.
Research shows that bacteria from an unhealthy mouth can enter the bloodstream, leading to blood clots and narrowing arteries - key contributors to heart attacks and strokes. This connection underscores the importance of tackling gum disease, the leading cause of tooth loss in adults.
At Clinica Dental La Plaza, our team of experts is dedicated to helping you prevent and manage gum disease effectively. We provide tailored advice and treatments to ensure your oral hygiene routine is up to par, preventing harmful bacteria from taking hold. With regular professional cleanings and check-ups every 6-12 months, you can stay ahead of dental problems and avoid severe health complications.
Gum disease often starts subtly, with symptoms like bleeding gums or bad breath. If left untreated, it can escalate to periodontitis, a severe infection that damages gums, teeth, and even bone. But with proper care, these issues can be prevented. Our clinic uses state-of-the-art technology and techniques to treat gum disease at every stage, from early signs to advanced cases.
Good oral hygiene habits, such as brushing, flossing, and using interdental brushes, play a vital role in prevention. However, professional dental care is equally essential to thoroughly clean hard-to-reach areas and monitor your gum health. At Clinica Dental La Plaza, we prioritise educating our patients to empower them to maintain healthier mouths - and healthier hearts.
Clinica Dental La Plaza is the answer

Signs to Watch For:
Okay, we know it’s not the most glamorous topic, but let’s be real - bowel health matters! April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. So, let's be aware. Bowel cancer (also called colorectal cancer) is one of the most common cancers, but the good news is that it’s also one of the most treatable if caught early.
Your gut has ways of letting you know if something’s up. Keep an eye out for:
- Unusual changes in bowel habits (looser, harder, or just not normal for you)
- Blood in your poo (yes, we’re going there!)
- Tummy pain or bloating that won’t quit
- Feeling tired all the time for no obvious reason
- Unexplained weight loss
Now, don’t panic-these symptoms can be caused by other things too, but they’re worth checking out.
Keeping Things Moving (in a Good Way!)
Want to keep your bowels happy? Eat plenty of fibre, stay active, drink water, and limit processed foods. And if you're over 50 or have a family history of bowel cancer, screening is your best friend-simple tests can catch problems before they become serious.
Got Questions? We’ve Got You!
If anything feels off, don’t just hope it goes away. Cancer Care Jávea is here to help with advice, support, and next steps. No awkward conversations, just friendly guidance when you need it. Visit www.cancercarejavea.org for information.
Look after your gut-it’s got a lot of important work to do!

As the days grow warmer and flowers bloom, many of us are eager to enjoy the great outdoors. However, springtime also marks the return of insects that bite and sting—and while most encounters are harmless, some can lead to serious medical emergencies if left untreated.
Why You Shouldn't Ignore Insect Bites or Stings
While a mosquito bite may seem like nothing more than a nuisance, other insect encounters can have far more serious consequences. Bee stings, spider bites, and bites from ticks or other insects can cause allergic reactions, infections, or transmit diseases. Recognising the symptoms of a serious reaction is crucial:
• Severe swelling or redness that spreads beyond the bite area
• Difficulty breathing or tightness in the chest

Well after the wettest winter we have had in a while (but it was definitely required) spring has sprung.
It’s the best time of the year for me, more sun, but without the scorching heat of summer, and it’s the biggest reason people start to get back into the garden. Bearing in mind we have just had a good amount of rain what is the current state of your natural lawn?
We at Artificial Grass Spain, are experts in supplying the best artificial grass in the area. Our artificial grass is non toxic, child safe and most importantly gets rid of your general lawn maintenance and watering costs. It looks great all year round and lasts for donkeys. As long as we've been supplying it - 20 years plus.
I honestly don’t know a more worthwhile investment for most gardens here than to get rid of large tired gravel areas or that nasty old lawn that just doesn’t work.
Smarten up your garden space, make it more usable, enjoyable and save money in the process. It's WIN WIN. For more information have a look at our website www.artificial-grass-spain.com.
It will be the best choice you ever make for the look and use of your garden.

In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining vitality and overall well-being is more important than ever. One groundbreaking solution gaining attention is the LifeWave X39 patch—a small, wearable patch designed to support the body’s natural ability to heal, regenerate, and energise.
Unlike traditional supplements or medications, the X39 patch uses innovative phototherapy technology. This process harnesses the body’s own light to stimulate biological processes, including the activation of copper peptide GHK-Cu, which is essential for activating stem cells. Stem cells play a vital role in repairing damaged tissue, reducing inflammation, and promoting overall vitality. However, as we age, their activity declines. The X39 patch helps to revitalise these natural processes without the need for drugs or chemicals.
Users of the LifeWave X39 patch report a range of benefits, including increased energy, improved sleep quality, faster recovery from physical exertion, and enhanced mental clarity. Many also experience a more youthful appearance and a greater sense of balance and well-being. For women navigating menopause or seeking relief from discomfort, the X39 patch offers a holistic, non-invasive way to ease symptoms and support the body’s natural rhythms.
Incorporating the X39 patch into your daily routine is simple. Just place the patch on clean skin, such as the back of your neck or below the belly button, and wear it for up to 12 hours. This effortless method fits seamlessly into busy lifestyles, offering a practical solution for those juggling careers, family, and personal wellness goals.
Whether you want to optimise your workouts, reduce joint discomfort, or feel more vibrant every day, the LifeWave X39 patch could be the key to unlocking a new level of wellness. Many men and women are already experiencing its transformative effects -perhaps it’s time you explored its potential too.
Reversing the ageing process one day and one patch at a time, the LifeWave X39 patch is redefining the future of holistic health. It’s often said that the gut is the most important organ in the body. Eating healthily in our senior years is not about depriving ourselves of the foods we love, food is there to be enjoyed. Simple dietary changes can make a big difference to our well-being.
It’s also true that it may not even be necessary to alter the actual ingredients of the diet but simply to improve the way the body digests and absorbs nourishment. There are lots of easy ways to achieve this and it’s never too late to make those changes.
Kathryn Marsden (www.kathrynmarsden.weebly.com) is trained in functional (or therapeutic) nutrition and is well-known for her light-hearted but informative lectures. She is also a resident at Ciudad Patricia and will be giving a free lecture on Monday 28th April at Ciudad Patricia. It is open to the public. Places are limited and you must register before 24th April to attend by emailing Kyra van Daatselaar at admin@ciudadpatricia.com.
The Entertainers are refining their new songs, with dance moves choreographed by the Dollies, and practicing old favourites in readiness for a start to performances in the Spring. The recent bad weather, with Red Rain alerts, meant their March show had to be rescheduled and has also prevented practicing outdoors – to the disappointment of Jo’s neighbours who always look forward to early indications of the new songs.
However, I can assure those neighbours, and all fans, that the Entertainers 2025 song list is better than ever, with many songs from different pop icons, of both the UK, Europe and USA, as well as new songs from previous favourite artists. The dancing and costumes once again will bring a special sparkle to their performance.
Their programme is starting to fill up so if your charity/ social group/ fund-raising teams have not yet scheduled their performance get onto your leaders today and set a date for a super show of songs and dances with the fabulous Entertainers. To find out where you can see The Entertainers find us on Facebook 'The Entertainers Marina Alta.

Unity in diversity- an exciting art exhibition planned by women artists of the Marina Alta
After two weeks in March of exciting and rewarding events across the three Marina Alta towns of Benitachell, Jávea and Teulada Moraira for the International Women's Day and working in close cooperation with all the other women's organisations and councillors at the town halls, the European Union of Women Marina Alta (EUWMA) is plotting yet again! There are plans for their third Art Exhibition to be held in May. With the title Unity in Diversity: highlighting the power of solidarity across cultures, generations and communities the exhibition is planned for La Senieta 15 to 30 May 2025. It will feature women artists from the Marina Alta and will start with a party as Voces de Gaia have been invited to perform! Further details from Emma Lawton 648 052 911 or euwma.treasurer@gmail.com
EUWMA is one of the fastest growing women's groups in the area and welcomes women from all backgrounds to its discussions and events. President Margaret Hales encourages participation. 'We are a group which raises issues about women in our part of Spain. Through cooperation and friendship we are helping to create a network of women who care. We care that we still struggle for parity in the job market and we care that 50 women's lives a year (in Spain) are needlessly lost through gender violence. Together we can make our voices heard above the chatter of other issues. Together we can make progress. Join us in that journey.' You can find out more on www.facebook.com/groups/ euwma/ or email us on euwmarinaalta@gmail.com. Women working together achieve great things.
We are a diverse group of crafters who meet on the first Thursday of every month. Our interests range from crochet and dressmaking to metal sculpting. We are a mutual help group, we bring our own work and solve each others crafting problems.

Feeling stuck? Lost your motivation? Struggling to figure out what’s next? You’re not alone— I’ve been there too. That’s why I created Walk Your Way Well, a coaching approach that gets you moving—both physically and mentally.
Sometimes, the best way to clear your mind is to get outside and walk. There’s something about fresh air, open space, and natural movement that helps untangle thoughts and spark new ideas. If you've hit a wall today my advice is GO FOR A WALK!
But if you're feeling overwhelmed you might consider finding a coach to help you untangle things. Coaching is a guided conversation that helps you move from where you are now to where you want to be. It’s not about telling you what to do—it’s about asking the right questions, helping you see things more clearly, and supporting you as you take action.
Think of it as having a thought partner—someone who listens, challenges, and encourages you to make positive changes. Whether you’re feeling stuck, uncertain, or just need a fresh perspective, coaching can help you gain clarity, set goals, and create a plan to achieve them.
At Walk Your Way Well, I combine coaching with movement. Whether you need clarity, confidence, or just a fresh perspective, I can help you set meaningful goals and find the motivation to achieve them. Let’s take that first step together.

Melanie Brown, resident of Teulada, is delighted to announce the publication of her debut novel, 'The Broken Balalaika', by Austin Macauley Publishers of London. The book, based on a true story, is set during the Cold War of the 1980s on board a Soviet cruise ship, sailing around Spain, Morocco and the Western Mediterranean.
'The Broken Balalaika' tells the story of a ship's photographer, Louisa Bennett, who meets the handsome Ukrainian, Gennadi Potenko, electrician and talented balalaika player, at a Russian crew party, on board MS Ukraina in 1981. After an evening of music and vodka, Louisa wakes the next day with a massive hangover and cannot remember how she returned to her cabin, but a pink rose beside her bed gives her a clue. Ignoring the advice of her colleague, Dermot, who reminds Louisa that any close contact between East and West crew members is strictly forbidden, Louisa and Gennadi begin a series of tempting encounters ashore, leading to an illicit and secret love affair. Inevitably, they are betrayed and brutally separated, with severe consequences, and Louisa is terrified that Gennadi will receive further punishment when he returns to the Soviet Union. With the help of Dermot, and his fiancée, Katya, Louisa travels to Odessa to search for Gennadi, hoping to save him and uncover his hidden secret.
Melanie was inspired to complete this story after finding several chapters, written by her late mother, Margaret Brown, following her death in 2006. Melanie spent eighteen years as a photographer on ships, visiting wonderful places and meeting extraordinary people. She has now settled in Spain with her son and two Chinchilla cats, spending her time painting animal studies and baking a multitude of cakes. She is presently gathering more memories from her life at sea, and after, for a follow-up book.
'The Broken Balalaika' is available from Amazon, Austin Macauley Publishers and Polly's Bookshop, Moraira.

The Fish Doorbell webcam in Holland https://visdeurbel.nl/ offers a unique and interactive way to observe fish migration in Utrecht’s Oudegracht canal.
This innovative system allows you to spot fish that are swimming through the canal and, when they reach to the closed lock, by pressing the “fish doorbell” you alert the lock keeper to let the fish trough. By doing this, you are helping the fish on their journey to spawn by allowing them passage.
The webcam streams real-time footage, enabling you to spot various fish species, including pike, eel, and perch, as they swim by. This engaging experience, which began as a local initiative, has captured the imagination of nature enthusiasts.
If you can sew or paint a set
Or help the actors from the wings
The Fish Doorbell provides an educational and entertaining way to follow the migration of fish, while also raising awareness about local aquatic ecosystems. It’s especially popular now, during the spring migration season when the fish are most active.
Or tell a tale they won’t forget
If you can cross that comfort spot
If you can work for fun not pay And free PM.s on Saturdays
If you’re a “quirky” gal or guy
And pretend to be someone you’re not
Come join our team – then you’ll know why There’s nothing quite like treading boards
And being part of that applause!

Aries: Assertive Leo, currently in the fifth house, is in action with Aries until mid June. Anything that brings love into your heart is welcomed. These two planets bring romance and passion and never have they been needed so much!
Taurus: Venus is Direct in the eleventh house of Pisces. Time to create and reevaluate your current life progress. Long term goals are waiting to be scored, but have faith in the process that honours friendships and upholds love.
Gemini: The Karmic North Node intensifies, strengthens and amplifies a situation about to veer out of control. Pisces in the tenth house borders on careers, and long range benefits. Aligning with Saturn it’s time for changes.
Cancer: Mercury Directs in the ninth house bringing clarity and focus to a time of learning and studying. It’s also time to take an offer for what it really is: and not to be fooled in any way. What you see is what you should already have.
Leo: The Full Moon this month is in the third house of Libra in opposition to the ninth house. Communication is necessary right now; and silence is not getting you anywhere fast. Deal with what comes next before you commit.
Virgo: You are well into a cycle of deep change. Fall out from the last New Moon Solar Eclipse is punctuating the twelfth house and setting challenges. Clues are proving that you are on a roll, even though you have other fish to fry now.
Libra: Action is sought by warrior Mars, who seems to be acting in a hurry right now. You may have a fight on your hands but the sixth house enables you to ramp up to defend yourself and those whom you love and care for, very deeply.
Scorpio: Saturn, on a 30 year cycle, joins the North Node in boosting events and insights; which have themselves become a way of promoting yourself. Stop waiting for changes that very well may not come your way until it’s too late.
Sagittarius: Time for business and financial advice. Focus is on the eighth house of gain through hard work. Together transformational Pluto tests the water, but needs to be taken seriously now that options are limited and dormant.
Capricorn: Rethink your current relationships and question their validity in the constantly changing aspects of true assertiveness and timbre. The Full Moon in your second house of Libra sees deals done and a limitation applied.
Aquarius: Destiny triggered by the North Node in karmic energies plays a part in what is next to come. Nobody who really loves you would treat you this way: it’s shabby and unacceptable, and you are not ever going to settle for second best!
Pisces: Neptune beckons you on to pastures green. You are moving on and not running away for any reason. Now circumstances have changed, the boot is on the other foot; so tell all around you once and for all, you are not to be messed with!

The idea was a relaxed day out with many options as to how to pass the time: explore the castle, shop, stroll along the marina and admire the super yachts or simply sit in the sunshine and enjoy a coffee or caña!
In spite of very heavy rain during the early morning, the sun DID shine on us! And, after so many miserable, grey days on the coast it was certainly appreciated!
I think it's safe to say that all of the group managed a combination of most of the above 'activities'.
Lunch was enjoyed and then a leisurely stroll to the north of the marina where we met our transport home.
We will certainly be including some similar 'unstructured days out' in our travel programme in the future. (Suggestions are always welcome).
Next we are off to NOVELDA to explore this very interesting town and the nearby Sanctuary of Saint Mary Magdalene - details are on the website: www.u3acalpe.org and you can register with shirley-spain@hotmail.com.
