Choosing to shave or trim your body hair is a matter of personal preference. However, if you want to feel tidy and clean while enhancing your body's best features, I recommend a little overall trimming. Even though body hair is sexy, there is a fine line between a gentleman and a caveman...

Sometimes hair removal can lead to razor bumps, irriitated skin, and even burns. The best way to avoid these painful issues is with prevention. First, you'll want to soften the hair and skin with warm water prior to shaving. Then, use a shaving foam or gel which creates a barrier between the blade and skin. Finish with a moisturizing product to soothe the skin which could react negatively to the pruning.

While chest hair ranges from the very au natural ‘carpet’ to just a few stray hairs, most guys prefer a look that is somewhere in-between. A less hairy chest will show off more of your physique, so make sure you can see some skin through the hair. [TIP: Use a quality grooming tool such as the Braun CruZer trimmer or the Phillips Bodygroom Pro. A trimmer also allows you to control the length of the hair, which is perfect for regular maintenance.]

More and more men are realizing the benefits of trimming the hair under their arms. Unlike other areas of the body, it's not so much for looks as it is for hygiene. Trimming your armpit hair allows for less room for bacteria to thrive thus reducing body odor. Trim just a little hair to maintain a masculine look or shave it bare for a boyish and/or feminine appearance.

Most guys think some chest hair is sexy. Back hair, on the other hand... not so much. Shaving works if you only have a little hair back there, but, if you have a lot, consider getting it waxed or opt for laser hair removal. [TIP: Having trouble reaching your back overgrowth? Soap up in the shower and get your partner to shave your back for you or get a tool with an extension handle. (Personally, we think its more fun to have some soapy shower games and he'll be happy to help, since he'll get to enjoy the view!)]

A little below-the-belt clean-up is not only great for hygienic purposes, but it feels good too. While trimming down there is a fairly new trend, it's catching on quickly (not to mention that if you trim the bush the tree looks taller!) [TIP: Before trimming down south, practice upstairs on your chest a nick on your chest won't hurt as much. Be sure to stretch your skin and shield your package. You can avoid shave bumps and those nasty ingrown hairs by shaving in the direction of the hair growth. Once you are done, try using an aftershave cream without perfumes, alcohol, or dyes or try some baby powder to keep from itching. You don't want to give anyone the wrong idea by scratching yourself!]

When it comes to balls, most guys prefer to go completely bare because it looks and fees great. Shaving is the most common method; however, some (with an extremely high pain tolerance) prefer a "manzillian" wax which look lasts longer.

Best LGBT Local Organization Lost-N-Found Youth Lost-N-Found Youth is the only nonprofit agency actively working to take homeless LGBT youth off the street in Atlanta. The organization was founded by Rick Westbrook, Art Izzard, and Paul Swicord after each of them experienced being turned away while attempting to place queer youth into local shelters and youth aid programs. "Art, Paul, and I assembled in November with the support of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and established a privately funded emergency shelter. From here the Saint Lost and Found project (now Lost-n-Found Youth, Inc.) was born.”

Best Place To Meet Women My Sister’s Room Not only did FENUXE readers vote My Sister’s Room as hands down the best place to meet women in Atlanta but they’re also celebrating their 17th anniversary! They’ll be celebrating with a huge paint party on August 17th. “Susan Musslewhitel started My Sister’s Room in its orginal location in Midtown. She wanted to create a special place for women to go - somewhere they would call home,” Co-owner Jami Siden explained. “We’ve continued the legacy of being a place for women that welcomes everyone. Anyone in the LGBTQ community feels welcome along with many of their straight friends and family. The feeling of acceptance starts from the inside of a business,” Siden said. However, MSR has seen several changes over the past 17 years as well. “The biggest change came when Jen and I bought the bar. We expanded the Twilight Lounge into a pool room, added 9 flat screens to watch sporting events on Sundays, added a full dinner menu, and did a total makeover of the venue including making the bar a designated smoking venue with non smoking on the dance floor,” Siden added.

Owner Troy Koch has been with the company since 1997 when he worked part-time while going to school at Georgia State University. Best Drag Show Review The Armorettes The Armorettes have been entertaining Atlanta and raising money for HIV care and research since 1979. But, how did the group come about? Armorette Kevin Crumsey explained, “Greg Troia, manager at the Armory, was looking for a way to keep bar patrons entertained on Sundays during halftime of televised Atlanta Falcon games. To do so, he approached some of the bar staff and regulars to put on dresses and cheerleader outfits as a way of providing cheap entertainment. This ragtag group quickly became the highlight of the Falcon games at the bar. Patrons would anxiously await halftime (some just showing up for halftime) to see what the group would come up with next. The group, under the direction of Greg (aka Thelma Natalie Troia) affectionately became known as the Armorettes. From the beginning, Greg’s idea was to present drag in a form we now call “camp”, with the performers lip syncing and providing comedic interpretations of standards as well as popular music of that time.”
The Armorettes are the longest running Camp Drag Show in America! They’ve performed over 1762 shows and lip-synced to over 27,500 songs; however, no Armorette will ever perform “Harper Valley PTA” because, according to Amorette legend, it is cursed and you’ll die afterward. 38 : August 15, 2013

Best Classical Music Performance Group Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Next month the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) starts its 69th season and they’re better than ever. Did you know that it originally started as a local youth orchestra? Many may say “I don’t need therapy” and while I can respect everyone’s decision, I think everyone can learn from the experience. It never hurts to have an educated person totally in your corner! Therapy is a great sounding board. A friend once shared a story with me that made perfect sense to me and I kinda lived by it for a long time. The story goes “In this world there are people who are eagles and people who are crows. And while the crows may want to fly as high as the eagles, they

When I talked to my therapist about this, she calmly disagreed. She said the problem with that story is that it creates the perception that someone is better than someone else. It also leaves the other person feeling unheard and unvalidated. Most times someone just needs someone else to listen to them. They may not be asking for your input or for you to solve their problem, they just want to be heard. By not listening to them, it creates a feeling of “he thinks he’s better than me.” LIGHT BULB!! Wow! I was so wrong! While it was never my intention to hurt anyone, it was a conscious decision of mine to stay away from drama. Now I realize people just want to be heard. I don’t have to solve their problem. I can just listen. For all of you drag aficionados, I’d like you to check out a new exhibit. Legendary Children
