The Figgjo recipe Figgjo is located in beautiful natural surroundings at Figgjo outside Stavanger. Figgjo is the only remaining large scale producer of porcelain, in the Nordic region. Here we use traditional craftsmanship and a modern machinery to translate classic design into functional and durable porcelain. Some of our products require 52 interventions by human hands during the production process. We have been influenced by the unpretentious Scandinavian design expression where belonging and traditions are just as important as food trends. Figgjo is flexible Figgjo is a family-owned Norwegian company with long traditions. We have fast deliveries. Volume requirements are extremely moderate. We can supply as little as one product in a standard design. All products can be custom decorated in series as low as 48 pieces. We deliver in 2-4 weeks! Figgjo can be trusted Figgjo provides a 5-year Edge Damage Guarantee on all round plates*. Our products are resource effective and have a very sustainable lifetime. Therefore, they have an environmental advantage in comparison with similar products made of other materials, such as plastic. We are ISO certified in quality management, environment and energy consumption. We check the quality manually and sort after each firing. Figgjo uses no environmentally harmful raw materials, and recycles all unused production material. After firing, discarded products are recycled as filler. We clean all the air and water used in the factory. * Does not apply to Figgjo Front Dining.

DESIGN AWARDS In addition to gaining us a reputation as an innovative producer of porcelain, our design expertise has also brought us many honours. Since the year 2000, Figgjo has received as many as fourteen Awards for Design Excellence. In 2002, Figgjo was the first Norwegian company to be awarded the German and internationally renowned Red Dot Design Award for Figgjo Form – and for Figgjo Planet 40 – and in 2016 we won the Red Dot Award Honourable Mention, for the coffee concept Figgjo Oslo. Figgjo launches new products twice a year. We protect our products through international design registration.

Our basic series covers the basic needs to every eatery. Within each basic range you´ll find plates and cups in various sizes. The series have different approaches to function and aesthetics. Figgjos basic series cover most needs and has a long lifetime.

Figgjo’s plates range from classic round plates to more extreme shapes. Figgjo provides customers with a broad selection of products, since there is infinite variation in what our customers serve, and how.
CUPS & SAUCERS
Figgjo produces cups appropriate for most uses – from functional stackable cups to more distinguished ones. It may be appropriate to select the cup or mug first, then find the saucer to match.

Figgjo has a broad selection of mugs in a variety of sizes and designs – from the most practical stackable mugs to the more elegant ones.

Figgjo Trays contribute to an efficient and complete installation - small trays that can be used as plates, to large trays that work well in a buffet.

Here, you will find everything from small, single-portion bowls to large serving dishes. The variation in available shapes and designs is great, which gives you excellent options with the same functional needs.
Accessories
Here you will find tea and coffee pots, jugs, gravy boats, salt and pepper pots and toothpick holders. Like all Figgjo´s products, these can be combined with other products to achieve the desired assortment in terms of form and function.
Decoration
All Figgjos products can be decorated. Figgjo has a number of coloured and decorated products in its range, from classic to contemporary expressions. We offer decorated products both as standard decorations and selections of other decors and colours on request.

Figgjo FLAK A pronounced bend in the rim of three of the plates and an angled rim on the largest distinguish Figgjo Flak from its round relatives – without compromising on functionality. All four of the plates have a comfortable grip and generous eating surfaces and low weight. Figgjo FELT Figgjo Felt combines uncompromising functionality with exciting design. The plates feature surfaces at different levels, providing the chef with a broad range of serving possibilities. Create a larger or smaller eating surface, a traditional or unusual experience – all from the same plate. The cups’ stepwise division enables them to be stacked effectively, without the functional appearance that stacking cups often have – the bowls have the same feature. Figgjo BASE Figgjo Base features casual, generous plates and cups. The plates come with either a low or high rim. Two have been elevated to pedestal plates and some features a solid handle reminiscent of kitchen pans and chopping boards. The products in our Figgjo Base range are honest and genuine in their white simplicity. Several of the products also feature coloured surfaces in various down-to-earth looks.

Cups & SaucerS Figgjo produces cups appropriate for most uses – from functional stacking cups to more distinguished cups that look extra attractive on the table. There is great variation in the available shapes and designs. Many of the cups fit both flat and deeper saucers, and some can be used without. Figgjo’s saucers range from the elegant, completely flat 1000 saucers, to the deeper 900 saucers. Most of our cups and mugs fit both varieties. It can be a good idea to choose the cup or mug first, and then find an accompanying saucer.

The products are designed to be combined with all the Figgjo Basic Series and can therefore be chosen according to form and function. The variation in available shapes is large, with the softer Arena and Ellipse trays as a contrast to the angular Figgjo Form. BowlS Here you will find everything from small, single-portion bowls to large serving dishes, in a variety of sizes ranging from 3 cl to 8.2 litres. The variation in available shapes and designs is great, which gives you an extensive selection of products to meet the same functional needs. The Figgo bowls ranges from functional stacking bowls to the more exciting Figgjo Arena Spiss and 15 bowls. Some of the bowls are narrower at the top than others, and therefore help to prevent the contents from spilling out. Some of the bowls also feature a porcelain lid.

Decoration Colours and décor can enhance a unique and comprehensive expression, and creates a different framework for the food; from the classic and traditional to the more modern expression. We offer a variety of decorated products both standard decor, a selection of other decors and colours on request. Minimum Quantity and delivery is the same for standard decoration, as our white products. The delivery time for Figgjo Natural Structures, other colours in the Base Series and Figgjo customized decor is 2-4 weeks, with the minimum number of 48 pieces. Decorated products will have the same lifetime as white products. This is a central principal of the Figgjo quality. We therefore melt the colours into the glaze surface. To ensure that gold and platinum retain their shine, these forms of decoration must be applied on top of the glaze. For this reason, all porcelain decorated with gold and patina must be handled with great care during both washing and use. Our entire colour range are tested regarding to both the environment and wear.

CUSTOMIZED decor Using customized decorations from Figgjo takes you a step further. In the development of custom decorations, our designers start with the profile you already have, or take inspiration from other elements to strenghten the interior and atmosphere. What matters is that the decoration expresses what you want it to. We are happy to be challenged in terms of patterns, colour combinations and the number of colours used. Our aim is to ensure the customer receives a product that perfectly complements their concept. We can supply products featuring custom decoration in quantities as low as 48 pieces. The delivery time is just 2-4 weeks from when the customer has approved our suggested design. Figgjo has also produced tailored gifts and promotional items for several years. We give you the chance to develop your own, exclusive design – wether you need a profile mug, a cover plate for a special occasion or this year´s Christmas gift. Solutions can be based on logos, profile colours or other design elements from your organisation. Through creative development with Figgjo´s designers, inspiring decoration solutions are created – along with products that will be remembered, taken care of and valued.

THE FIGGJO QUALITY Figgjo’s products are made from vitreous porcelain, a type of porcelain especially developed for professional use. The porcelain body is strengthened with aluminium oxide, which makes the products especially strong and resistant to intensive use in a professional kitchen. We only use environmentally friendly materials, and recycle production body throughout the process. After firing the waste products are recycled as landfill, and we clean the air and water used in the production. Figgjo porcelain is tested for lead, cadmium and barium release in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the EU and Norway, all results are far below the requirements. This applies to both glaze and colours. Oven and microwave All Figgjo porcelain can be used in ovens up to 300 degrees C, with slow and steady rise and fall in temperature. Gold and platinum decorated porcelain must not be used in the microwave. Dishwasher Porcelain from Figgjo has a smooth surface that is easy to clean, the right dosage of detergent ensures that the porcelain stays nicely over time. By using a rinsing agent, you can reduce the surface friction of the porcelain and also the glaze wear an tear. Hygiene Figgjo porcelain is 100% natural and guaranteed lead-free. Vitro porcelain is a non-porous material and therefore does not absorb dirt or bacteria.
