Is there already ‘something’ between Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza? As Posted on PEP.ph Kung sakali man, sabi ng dalawang bida ng Eat Bulaga! kalyeserye na okay lang sa kanilang maipareha sa iba. Para kay Alden, “Kami naman pong dalawa ni Maine, we always have this understanding of each other. “Siyempre, on the professional side, if that will happen, siyempre kami naman wala kaming gagagawin kundi suportahan ang isa’t isa.”
S
a forever kaya mauwi ang samahan nina Alden Richards at Maine Mendoza?
You and Me noong July 1. Sagot ni Alden, “Anything is possible. “We’ll just go with the flow. If we’re bound to last 30, 50, 60 years, then it will happen.”
Right.” Seryosong sagot ng 21-year-old celebrity, “Well, ako kasi, hopeless romantic ako. “Naniniwala ako na somewhere out there, there is [a guy] destined for me, na meant to spend my life with.
Dugtong ni Alden, “Pero as of now, we’re not really looking forward to be paired with someone else.”
FINDING MR. RIGHT.
Sagot niya, “oo.”

Tim Pavino: serenading his way to the hearts of many with his ballads and pop By Zsa-zsa C. Zorilla 8
www.filipinostarmagazine.com
Filipino Star Magazine. Vancouver Edition. July, 2016
C
lad in a gray Power Rangers shirt, black rubber watch, stone-washed jeans, sneakers—and a killer smile that matches his twinkling eyes, who would have thought that this 26-year-old lad, Timothy John Inocentes Pavino or popularly known as Tim Pavino has a vigor that can match “Pure Energy” Gary Valenciano’s, a subtle mix of the “Concert King” Martin Nievera and a charm of a balladeer that can melt your heart… and make you swoon… the moment he sings. Yes, he has those and a lot more and he has been tagged, already, as the “Prince of the New OPM.”
Humble beginnings, big dreams
Ayon kay Tim, it was his mom who first saw his potential in singing back when he was just 2 ½ years old. ‘Yung mga panahon na sinasabayan niya sa pagkanta ang “Aladdin” theme song na “A Whole New World.” “I like to sing for myself and I like singing along to whatever I hear. It usually is an indication of a singer; if you can copy what you hear, then you have a capability of a singer.” “My mom noticed it at an early age,” shares Tim. “I would watch it maybe 12 times a day and then one day she just turned it off because my Dad eventually got annoyed and she told me: ‘Why don’t you just sing it?,’ and so I did and they were like [makes an astounding look on his face],” recalls Tim. The basics and singing part was all taught. How I viewed any song was using the tools. Only when I was around 16 or 17 when I started to create my own inflections, my own adlibs, my own ideas, ‘bending the rules’ you could say, only then. Now I attack ballads in my own way. But I never forget the basics, ‘yung mga important techniques.” As for those artists who have influenced him, Tim said: “Growing up, all I heard was my family. Mostly my family is singing, especially my Tito Arnold because he does it professionally.” “I would try to get the same confidence that I see with him and my Tita Cecile. What is it with them that make them confident when they sing.”
From where it starts
At age 12, Tim found himself opening a show for Kuh Ledesma and Basil Valdez because of his mom, who is a producer and
her Tita Cecile, who has taught and trained him and other sensational singers that of: Kuh, Sharon Cuneta and Martin Nievera, to name a few. “I was a special guest with some other kids and eventually, Kuh took me under her wing and taught me also a little bit of stuff.” Patuloy pa niya, “When I was 16 or 17, she let me be a part of her show talaga. And then eventually, I would tour with her and I would be with Pops and Regine. I would always be Gary’s opening act.” When asked if he plays “favorite” with those whom he has worked with, Tim answered: “I can’t pick one because I learned something different from each.” “With Kuh, it’s more of conviction and meaning the words. With Pops, it’s about how you make the audience feel, letting them leave with an experience. Si Regine naman— endurance. How you handle when you’re sick and all that. With Gary, his faith. Martin naman, what isn’t there to learn from Martin? It’s like the over-all showmanship.”
Goodbye U.S. and Hello Philippines – plus a booming career, kept self grounded with his faith It was only in October 2011, when he was already 21 years old that Tim finally decided on going back to the Philippines, but not initially to do singing but more of, to take care of his ageing grandmother.
“When I moved here, I was by myself. I was struggling to take care of an 85-year-old and she already had two strokes. What was I gonna do? I was in panic mode.” Ngunit giit niya, “If I didn’t have faith, I don’t think I would have gone through a lot of challenges. I think it is a lifestyle, faith is a lifestyle. It’s not something you just tell people. If you believe it and you are acting on it and people will see that… then that’s when you’re going to share your faith but you don’t have to force anyone to believe it. When they see it then that’s when you are going to share it.” Having the heart for singing and given that he has seen the “in and outs” of the music industry, Tim said, “I did my album on my own. I toured on my own.” Later Tim joined “The Voice Philippines 2” because of his grandmother’s request and became part of “Team Lea” in 2014. Tim beamingly shared, “The Voice was I think the ‘turning point’. The best thing that could have happened in my life at that time. It set up me up for the rest of what I am doing right now.”

But humbly ends it with, “I had mixed emotions. I just said ‘thank you, Lord’. You can easily take it all away from me, as they say: ‘If you can’t take care of what you’ve got, then how can you get more?’”
Aniya, “There was a show called ‘Soap Opera ng Buhay Ko’, it had Lea Salonga, Jed Madela, Mark Bautista, Chris Villongco, Bituin Escalante with ABS-CBN’s Philippine Harmonics Orchestra. It was the first time I performed with an orchestra.”
Ordinary, ‘baliw-baliw’ Tim
Bagaman naka-trabaho na niya ang ilang malalaking bituin sa larangan ng pagkanta, aminado si Tim na last year lamang niya na-experience ang kanyang “most unforgettable moment.”
Exclaiming, “And on ‘THAT’ level pa. One of the special conductors was Ryan Cayabyab. It was like 500 dreams coming on at one time.” Adding while giggling, “And I am standing beside Lea Salonga and Jed Madela, like that, in the middle. I mean, when does that happen in your life?” 10
Asked how he is outside of the ‘glitz and glamour,’ Tim teasingly said: “I remove my foundation, no, joke lang.” “I’m still me. I’m still a nerd. I still watch anime. I still cosplay with my friends and I watch lots of horror movies… and I love eating. I love trying out new restaurants.” “On radio and TV, I guess, I’m very reserved. I’m trying not to be anymore. I guess it was originally ‘I’m scared to show myself.” “People would even say, ‘baliw baliw naman si Tim’. I’m trying to show myself a little bit more and I am actually a bit nuts.”

She opened 2016 with her muchanticipated wedding, and ushered in a new chapter with a house blessing of the home she will share with Bossing. Pauleen Luna talks about life as Mrs. Vic Sotto and their home in Laguna As Posted on PEP.ph
'Kumbaga yung pinagawa lang namin is structural.
When they finally moved in to their Laguna home on June 15, it became easier for her to settle into her role as Mrs. Sotto.
'So everything—from the tiles to the roof to the paint, hooks, hinges, everything—ako talaga bumili.'
She said, 'Medyo ngayon ko lang siya nafi-feel kasi kakalipat pa lang namin sa new house.
The couple were 'very hands-on' with the construction that took a year and a half. Pauleen herself supervised the workers who did the finishing touches.
Ngayon kasi, talaga inayos ko siya from scratch.
One thing she learned: 'Tip sa mga gumagawa ng bahay: ang dapat, may extra tiles kasi it's very easy to break.'
'Ngayon, na-e-enjoy na namin yung bahay kasi bagong-bago 'tsaka natutukan namin.

Director Paul Soriano on preggy wife Toni working: ‘I think she will work until she gives birth.’ As Posted on PEP.ph is another challenge that we’re taking on with Toni. “And in my prayers, we are great parents and we’ll do our best to achieve that.” TONI WORKING WHILE PREGNANT. Sagot niya, “For as long as the doctor allows her. We have monthly check-ups. Sometimes twice a month we have checkups. “The doctor says she’s completely healthy. “She can work as long as she gets her proper rest and the working conditions are safe.

Aniya, “I know 100 percent, Toni was extremely happy. She really wanted a boy. “I’m very excited to welcome a little boy and it’s a new chapter in my life and we’ll definitely embrace it. “But whatever it was, boy or girl, my prayer that it’s healthy, it’s strong, it’s smart and we’re just extremely blessed.” Saad niya, “Toni and I as parents, that’s gonna be tested now that we’re gonna have a little boy. “I would like to think my parents and Toni’s parents are there to guide us, to teach us, and to correct us if we do mistakes. “It’s exciting just like how I make films, it’s unpredictable. Pagbabahagi ni Direk Paul, “Of course, slowly as we get to the delivery, we’ll get there. “But of course, we already know Ninang Alex and of course, my brother. Very close sa heart.” Tugon ng direktor, “We were able to enjoy one year of marriage, so we wanna enjoy this little boy and learn how to be parents. “I guess when God says it’s time to have another one, then we will have another.”

Ayon kay Jake, “Sa akin siyempre, it’s a good recognition and it feels really good. “I’ve done this movie a few years back and this is really a lovely surprise. “Pero after nitong movie, tingin ko, mas marami pa kong maibabahagi o maipapakita pa. “And I think, that shows na nakikita nila ang growth and evolution ko as an actor. “For this movie, it’s really like, you do a picture, tapos, ‘eto ang balik sa ‘yo. Sabi nga nila it comes in threes.” “UNCONVENTIONAL” ACTORS REAP REWARDS. Dito binanggit ni Jake ang
Jake Cuenca responds to critics who say he is prone to overacting As Posted on PEP.ph pagkapanalo naman ng aktres na si Jaclyn Jose sa Cannes Film Festival, kunsaan halos magkakasunod lang ang mga awards na nakuha nila sa mula sa mga prestihiyosong international film festivals. Ayon kay Jake, “Of course, she won Cannes.
“You just have to do it with love and passion and to be able to give something new and original.”
“With all these things, it feels good na mabigyan ako ng award ng local award-giving body. I’m not gonna deny it.
“The next day, may napanalunan akong award.
Pagmamalaki niya, “That’s the highest, the pinnacle!
“We’re making our country proud.” Aniya, “Me and Sid, we’re not conventional leading men.
“She’s the best actress in Cannes, nakakatuwa. WISHING FOR LOCAL RECOGNITION. Anong pakiramdam tungkol dito?
niya
“And Jaclyn Jose is not your conventional leading woman.
Pag-amin niya, “Honestly, parang... well, ayokong maging nega about it. Hopefully, yung mga local award-giving bodies can recognize.
“But the thing is, when you do something you love, you put all your love and passion to the project, this comes back to you. Nakakatuwa.
“I’m sure both of them feel the same way. “Yun din ang gusto kong iparating sa mga kabataan ngayon—you don’t have to follow a certain mode para mag-evolve ka sa career mo.
“I really like to do something new. Either you will really like the scene or ah okey or hindi.
I’ll be so happy if maibigay sa akin ‘to after all the nominations. “It feels really good.” INTENSE ACTING. Ayon kay Jake, “I can do both. “I like being theatrical, I like being subdued. “If you can analyze all the things I’ve done in the past, I can do both. “But obviously, kina-cast nila ko sa intense role. “But the only thing, I can only work with what’s the director’s parameter. Like, 'Ibigay mo ‘yan, sa TV ‘yan.' Yung ganun.”
“But at least, I tried to do something on my own. Hindi yung typical na hinahanap nila.

Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson admit they ‘hang out’ together; respond to questions about rekindling romance As Posted on PEP.ph

or the first time, ex-couple Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson are paired together in a Star Cinema movie.
Titled How To Be Yours, this romance movie is directed by Dan Villegas, who reveals that he and a group of writers expounded on a concept they had way back in college. Direk Dan observed that Bea and Gerald have chemistry onscreen, and, more importantly, offscreen. ‘Given naman na may history ang dalawa, e,’ said Direk Dan in an interview held last July 2, during the pictorial of the lead stars held at the Edge of Light studio in Quezon City. Good vibes lang talaga, e. Good vibes namin. Parang you’re working with friends and pagdating mo sa set, parang naglalaro lang.’ Given their past romantic history, did Bea and Gerald feel awkward working with each other? Bea admitted, ‘I have to be honest, nung umpisa, hindi talaga. Weird because it’s
the first time na magkakatrabaho kami plus before, hindi naman talaga... It was kind of weird being in front of a lot of people.’ Who broke the ice between the two of them? Bea disclosed that Direk Dan was instrumental in helping her adjust to working with her ex-boyfriend. Gerald agreed, ‘Sabi nga ni Direk, naging kami, doble pa yung weirdness.
‘We’re making jokes sa mga pinagdaanan namin before.’ They are both single now, have they considered the possibility of reconciling? Bea said with a laugh, ‘Every day, joke! Ang kapal ng mukha. Joke lang!’ We paraphrased the question: Are they open to the possibility of being a couple again? Gerald answered, ‘Step by step. Huwag niyo kaming bigyan ng pressure. We’re having fun. For her part, Bea could be heard saying, ‘Oo nga, huwag nating i-complicate.’ Gerald then said about his ex-girlfriend, ‘Ito na siguro ang pinakamaganda niya. Seriously.’
‘Para sa akin, sobrang weird but at the same time sobrang comfortable rin ako. Familiar emotion. ‘Yung ibang eksena nga namin...’
Lastly, have Bea and Gerald, just the two of them, been out after work?
Gerald didn’t get to finish his story because he got distracted by Bea and Direk Dan laughing at their inside joke.
Bea threw in, ‘Hang out.’
‘Yup,’ confirmed Gerald.
Are their past feelings for each other being rekindled? Gerald replied, ‘I don’t know, ang weird. Ang weird namin. Ang weird ko. ‘I just like to make her laugh and every time na magasama kami, nagtatawanan lang.

Jessy Mendiola on real score with Luis Manzano: ‘What you see is what you get.’ As Posted on PEP.ph
H
I don’t want to label it as anything.” Paliwanag ng aktres sa ulat ng ABS-CBN News Online noong June 30, “Kasi sometimes we go out as a group. “We go out sometimes. “Yeah, you could say we go out and we are friends and we are getting close to each other.”

Sabi pa niya, “I really appreciate the fact na he has always been there for me as a friend, as himself. He’s a very good guy. I say or do will be taken against me. Maraming masasabi ang mga tao. “It is what it is. What you see is what you get.”

'Since we didn’t have time really for this, dahil napuno yung schedule ko because we’re promoting for the movie, so we decided na humanap ng free day and ito yun. “I have a friend who volunteered for Habitat for Humanity a few years back, and then she was the one who suggested na, ‘Why don’t you celebrate your birthday that way?’'
kanyang paraan para mag-give back. “We only had about two weeks preparation and siyempre I’m very thankful to my friends, the Jodinatics, kasi sila talaga yung nag-coordinate ng lahat for this event to be possible.”

“To be able to see the community na natutuwa sila na parang alam nila na hindi sila nag-iisa, alam nilang may mga tao pa rin sa mundo na gustong tumulong, sobrang nakaka-fill ng soul. “Yes, it may be hard building a house, kasi we have experienced it firsthand, pero mas mahirap yung wala kang tirahan. “So I think isa din yun sa mga goal ng Habitat for Humanity, to be able to provide a decent place to live in. “It’s a very humbling experience and, ayun, sobrang daming learnings from this na parang walang taong nabubuhay para sa sarili lamang. “Tinuruan tayo ng mundo na mag-focus sa sarili lamang, puro sa sarili, pero we really don’t find fulfillment and purpose in living a self-centered life. Ayon sa kanya, “Number one is to walk humbly with the Lord. “And two, to serve people even in my own little way. “We have to find a purpose larger than ourselves, so we’d be able to be fulfilled and live a fulfilling life.” www.filipinostarmagazine.com

Alanis Morissette Gives Birth to a Baby Girl—See Her Adorable Debut her eyes open and hanging out with mama. Ironically (no pun intended), Morissette had already given birth when she shared that completely naked pregnant photo of herself. On June 28, the 42-year-old musician shared a nude portrait of herself swimming in a pool, and quoted her 5-year-old son Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway in the Instagram photo caption, who said, "You have to be extra gentle around ladies because they are the most helpful people in the world 'cause they make persons."

In her recent column for The Guardian, Morissette wrote, "Both marriage and becoming a parent have their way of growing us up. Ciara and Russell Wilson’s Wedding Party Looks Like Royalty
C
iara and Russell Wilson's fairy tale wedding wouldn't have been as perfect if it weren't for their friends and family in attendance. In fact, some of their closest pals joined them by their sides during the ceremony as they said "I do." Their wedding party consisted of eight women and eight men.
On Ciara's side, her bridesmaids included: her Matron of Honor, Yolonda FredrickThompson as well as Lala Anthony, Erica Ashe, Jamaica Craft, Hanna Isaksson, Kelly Rowland, Sabena Toor, Anna Wilson (Russell's sister). Russell's groomsmen included: his Best Man, Scott Pickett as well as Kenny Dichter, Jimmy Graham, Cole Hawthorne, Matthew Rodgers, Mark Rodgers, Robert Turbin and Harry Wilson(Russell's brother). The

black, custom Michael Costello gowns, while the groomsmen were dapper in Giorgio Armani. The couple tied the knot at Peckforton Castle on July 6, and it appeared to be one seriously breath-taking event. Ciara donned a one-of-a kind Roberto Cavalli Couture wedding gown, which was designed by the Peter Dundas himself, and she accessorized the dress with shoes she personally designed with Giuseppe Zanotti. Meanwhile, Russell's suit was personally handcrafted by Giorgio Armani, who also customized a "little man suit" for Ciara's son, Future Zahir (the ring bearer), as well as one for Ciara's father,Carlton Harris. Ciara's father handed his daughter away as her mother, Jackie Harris, and Russell's mom,Tammy Russell, looked on from the audience. www.filipinostarmagazine.com
After the ceremony—which was officiated by Pastor Judah Smith from The City Church in Seattle and L.A.—all of the newlyweds' friends, family and wedding party enjoyed the reception. They danced the night away to music from Earth, Wind & Fire, who was personally introduced by the couple, as well as some tunes from DJ Nabs. The party didn't end until the early dawn, which probably explains why the couple looked a little tired the following day heading to the airport to jet off to London! Well, that or...let's just say they haven't been shy about admitting what went down after they officially became husband and wife. We might have a mini Russell soon! Congrats again to the happy couple!

Julio Diaz makes first public appearance after successful surgery As Posted on PEP.ph
M
“Sabi nga nila, one in a million yung aking case na biglang naputukan ka ng ugat sa loob ng bungo mo, and there you go, after only two weeks, balik na sa normal na kalagayan ko.”

“Parang ibabalik natin yung sinasabing panahon ni Lino Brocka, the Golden Age of Philippine Cinema.”

RENE GAVIOLA: Sincere. Pure. Storytelling
“A picture is worth a thousand words.” Cliché. But it still holds true for Rene Gaviola, a wedding photojournalist and a street photographer, as the series of photos he takes are “meant to tell a story.” Gaviola is no novice in the industry as prior to migrating to Vancouver; he has been a part of Artistic Wedding Photojournalist from Manila, Philippines (AGWPJA) and Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). Gaviola may be into wedding photojournalist but he doesn’t limit 26
himself at that, saying. “I also do portraits, glamour and commercial photography.” His website’s (www.renegaviola.com) banner says: Rene Gaviola: Alternative Editorial Photography and when asked what exactly does he meant by that, Rene explained: “Most wedding photographers are portrait photographers although nothing is absolute.” He continued, “Portrait photographers focus more on shots that they like to direct and create but that doesn’t www.filipinostarmagazine.com
mean they don’t take candid photos. In the opposite spectrum, I offer an alternative approach, putting more weight on candid and editorial photographs although I still take some portraits too.” He then likened it to the opinion section of a newspaper, saying: “When you read from print, there are news articles and then there are editorials. As a columnist you are free to express your opinion or tell your own story, in the way you see fit. In my wedding editorials, I combine all the photos to tell a unique story from beginning to the end.”
Filipino Star Magazine. Vancouver Edition. July, 2016
An IT guy and a photographer combined, he labels his “obras” as “Sincere. Pure. Storytelling.” Asked how he came up with the idea, Gaviola jokes: “I would’ve love branding it as ‘100% natural, no artificial flavoring’ but it’s not really 100%.” “Anyway, I like to focus on relaxed and natural photography of the couple, especially during the portrait sessions.” Credits to MDS Snapshots
“In my more than ten years of wedding photography, I’d like to think that I’ve passed that stage trying out different styles: from the cinematic, to fashion and to extreme daring photography stunts. Nothing is right or wrong, it’s just what fits your personality and preference as a photographer.” Armed with experience, skills and good taste, Gaviola invites couple who “wants to have a sincere wedding celebration” to contact and email him at: renegaviola@gmail.com or give him a call at 778-885-0237. july HOROSCOPE ASTROTWINS, ASTROLOGY FORECAST Source: pilipino-express.com Kung puwede, gawin mo ang mga trabaho na mag-isa ka lang.
