Alex Gonzaga “Walked Out” from Paul’s Proposal to sister Toni

‘Catherine, go back!’ Sabi ni Alex, ‘Ayaw ko! Ayaw ko ‘yan!’ Umeeksena pa si Alex,” Toni said. Alex, however, clarified that she only wanted to get her phone to capture the moment in video.

A

lex Gonzaga explained on an interview that she did not really intend to walk out when director Paul Soriano was proposing to her sister Toni last January 21. According to Toni’s narration on “The Buzz” last Sunday about how Soriano proposed, she said Alex ran away when the TV director started his “speech” in front of her family.

So takbo ako ng takbo, pinipigilan niya ako,” she said.

Parang na-realize ko na oo nga, ‘yun nga ang nangyari. Tapos nakita ko siya nakadapa kami sa kama. So naiyak ako,” she shared. Asked how she feels now that the engagement is finally out in the open, Alex said: “Nung in-announce niya nung Sunday, parang lahat ng tao nagte-text sa akin na ‘Kaya mo yan, be strong, we feel for you. Ganyan talaga.’ So parang narealize ko, dapat ba akong malungkot?” “Bumigat ‘yung damdamin ko. Tapos tinext ko ‘yung ate ko. Sabi ko, ‘Ate, sad ako.’ Sabi niya why. Sabi ko, ‘Because of you.’ Sabi niya OA. Sabi ko, ‘Don’t cry for me Argentina.’ Tapos hindi na siya nagreply sa akin,” Alex said, laughing.

According to Alex, she also got emotional when she watched Toni and Soriano on “The Buzz.”

While she is sad that Toni would soon leave their house, Alex said she wants to make the most out of the time left before her sister marries Soriano.

“Nung pinanood namin siya nung gabi na sa bahay, nakadapa kami pareho sa kama, tapos nung pinapanood ko, ang kwento ni ate, bago daw mag-propose si Direk Paul, nakadapa kami sa kama tapos bigla kaming tinawag ni Paul.

“Ayaw ko pa kasi isipin. Ayaw ko na malungkot ako sa last months na magkakasama [kami sa bahay]. Although nararamdaman ko na kasi parang every day, lagi silang nagkikita, nagsasama. Pero ayaw ko pa isipin,” she said.

Gary V Forecasts James Reid Will Have Fruitful Career

K

apamilya star James Reid shows off his dance moves in the music video of his latest single, which quickly went viral after being released online early last month.

Within five days of being uploaded, Reid’s music video easily garnered over 100,000 views on YouTube, with fans praising the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate for being a “total performer.” No less than Gary V forecasts that the young entertainer would have a long and healthy career in showbiz. “Iba ang kanyang boses, at naalaala ko ang sarili ko nang nagsimula pa lang ako. Pati moves niya sa pagsasayaw. Hindi niya napapansin, pero, may “it” siya.” Recently, James found himself at the ire of some media men over his post on Instagram. He shared a quote from Jerry Seinfeld – “People who read the tabloids deserve to be lied to” His fans speculate that James was probably disgusted at some rumors about him dating a non-Showbiz girl who happens to be Kim Chiu’s sister. Reid added that the rumors probably just got “blown up” because of Kim Chiu’s popularity.

Why rent if you can walk into a brand new home? Why renovate if you can custom build? Let me help you with your New Home Purchase.

Actress Kim Chiu has no idea if there’s any truth to rumors that her sister Twinkle is dating the young actor. Hindi ko din alam,” Kim said on a TV appearance, “Hindi ko siya kasama sa house.”

oni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano first met at a Gary V concert in 2006. Paul admitted to being smitten first with Toni.

The two got to know each other better on their first project together as actor and director. Paul Soriano directed Toni Gonzaga's music video, Catch Me I'm Falling. However, it took him almost 9 months to get her to accept him as her boyfriend. Egged by the staff of the now defunct, Boy and Kris Show in July 20, 2007Toni and Paul admitted publicly their feelings for each other. Boy Abunda: Bakit naiiba si Direk Paul sa ibang lahat? 6

Toni: He's an answered prayer. Boy (to Paul): Direk! Tanong! Mahal mo ba si Toni, Yes or No? Paul (without hesitation): Yes! Kris Aquino (to Toni): Toni, mahal mo na ba si Paul, Yes or No? Toni (hiding shyly behind her hair): Yes! Kris (to Toni): Toni, Kayo na ba ni Direk Paul? Paul (interrupts): Yes, I'd like to answer that question. Yes I'd like to answer that question, yes, we're together na po...I'm the man in the relationship and I wanted to be the one to tell everyone www.filipinostarmagazine.com

that we're in love that we're together and she's definitely one of the best blessings if not the best blessing I've ever received. Paul didn't only pursue Toni- he had to convince her very tight knit family that he was the man for her. "Yung first few months nila ni Toni napansin na namin na iba yung ways namin," says Pinty Gonzaga, Toni's mom, "So, sinabi sa kanya yung mga 'Do's and Don'ts', kung ano yung ayaw namin, ano yung gusto namin" "Sabi niya mahal niya si Toni so siya yung mag-aadjust siya."

in an episode of The Buzz Sunday, February 1, Toni and Paul shared the happy news. Paul said that they will marry this year. "It's been what, 7 and a half years, right? You know, she's been such a great part of my life, the best blessing I've ever received...we're engaged," said Paul.

The Proposal Paul said that he proposed on January 21, the day after Toni's birthday in front of her immediate family. "I was in tears, it was quite an emotional moment," said Paul. He said that he asked permission from her parents, Pinty and Bonoy Gonzaga, first. Toni's mom apparently said, "It's

her that she would always be there for her.

Paul said that he assured them that he wasn't trying to take Toni away from her – only that he wanted to join her family, too. He said that he broke down in tears as well – and that Toni did too, when her father embraced her.

Pregnant with Love Not Child

Paul also said that he was determined to provide for her and that money would not be an issue between them. The announcement was preceded by a lengthy segment chronicling the couple's love story, spanning 7 years, nearing 8 – narrated by Toni's younger sister Alex Gonzaga. Toni also addressed her sister, telling www.filipinostarmagazine.com

Earlier in the show, Toni shot down pregnancy rumors, as well as rumors that she had a huge fight with her parents, part of speculation as to why she was absent from an earlier episode of The Buzz. The interview was the first formal announcement made by the couple. There was some confusion earlier when Toni's Home Sweetie Home co-star Sandy Andolong greeted Toni on her birthday, describing her as a “loving and loyal fianceé.” Sandy has since apologized for using the term, saying she thought it was an apt way to express her thoughts. 7

ngelica Panganiban said in a television interview that she “might” have been the reason for the break up of Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz.

Angelica revealed she and John used to bash John Lloyd and Shaina when the two were still a couple. The topic of Shaina and John Lloyd’s break up came out during the February 8 episode of ABS-CBN’s late night talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice,” which featured Angelica and actor-TV host John Prats as guest hosts. Ai-Ai Announced “I Heart Papa” Concert Cancelled

He said, “Number one, gusto kong mag-apologize kay Miss Ai-Ai, sobrang gusto kong magapologize sa kanya. “Siguro, kulang sa preparation.

A

i Ai delas Alas’ concert “I Heart Papa” will not be pushing through. It was slated for Thursday, February 12, at Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City. Ai Ai’s Instagram post Wednesday night blamed the show’s cancelation to the producer. “Ang producer po ng show na si Jacob Fernandez at ang kanyang kumpanyang Showbiz Mansion ay hindi tinupad ang lahat ng kasunduan at obligasyon na bayaran po ang lahat ng kasama sa show,” Ai Ai claimed. “Pati po ang venue na Solaire ay hindi po nabayaran,” she added. Reports say the money issue was the reason behind the

exit of Ai Ai’s original guest, Richard Yap, originally slated to appear in the show. He was replaced by Vin Abrenica and JC de Vera. The comedienne apologized to her fans, especially to those who have already bought their tickets. “Muli ang aking taos-pusong pagpapaumanhin sa lahat,” she said. “Hintayin na lamang po ang mga announcements sa darating na araw. God bless.” Concert producer Jacob publicly apologized to AiAi because of the incident and then explained what happened.

Businessman Ferdinand Guerrero was arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) inside the penthouse of Ritz condominium in Makati City around 10:30 pm on Sunday. Guerrero, who has a standing arrest warrant over the January 2014 beating of Navarro,

“He tried to disguise himself by growing facial hair. Before the warrant of arrest was issued against him, he was sporting a clean look,” Isidro added. For two months, NBI agents followed Guerrero’s movements until he was arrested at the Ritz condominium, where he was temporarily staying. “[Guerrero] was rich, he could stay in different condominium units in Metro Manila. He doesn’t drive the same car and keeps on changing it,” Isidro said. The arrest comes 9 months after Guerrero, businessman Cedric Lee, Lee’s sister

From the marketing to ticket selling. “So, medyo kulang talaga time.” According to Jacob, it is not true that he hasn’t paid the

He said, “Hindi totoo ‘yan. “Matagal na akong nagso-show sa Solaire and meron kaming mga arrangements with Solaire. “Gumagawa kami ng show ni Jaya, ni Ryzza Mae [Dizon]... marami na kaming nagawa for Solaire. “Meron kaming arrangements for that.” As of writing, Jacob has yet to speak to Ai-Ai personally regarding the matter. “Hindi pa sa ngayon. The Taguig City Regional Trial Court issued the warrants of arrest against the accused on April 11. The NBI arrested Lee and Raz on April 26 in a resort in Eastern Samar, while Cornejo surrendered in May after weeks of evading arrest.

“Siyempre ako ay natutuwa na nahuli na nga at nasakote na nga ng NBI ang isa sa mga nambugbog sa akin. Ngayon unti-unti kong nakikita ang justice sa atin,” he said.

Meanwhile, Guerrero attempted to leave the Philippines two days after the charges were filed against him. Immigration authorities intercepted Guerrero and barred him from leaving for Hong Kong. Cornejo, Lee, and Raz are currently out on bail. Guerrero is now held inside the NBI detention facility. Showtime host Vhong Navarro

He is still worried about his safety, knowing that some of the suspects are still at large. “Hindi naman nawawala ‘yung takot, pero ako naniniwala pa din ako sa justice natin na lahat ay magiging maayos. Canadian Michael Bublé Charms Filipinos for the 3rd Time

B

alladeer Michael Bublé performs for the third time in the Philippines. Bublé accounts his musical success to his Filipino fans.

The four-time Grammy winner said the Philippines was the place where he first had real success and became famous and that he considers it his home away from home. “Without you, my life would’ve been completely different,” Bublé told the sold-out crowd during his two-hour concert at the Mall of Asia Arena January 31. He added that being popular in the Philippines paved the way for his successful singing career. The show was opened by the acapella group Naturally 7, which showcased vocal plays to the delight of the concert-goers. The group’s leader said Bublé instructed them to make sure that everybody in the audience was ready for his set. Among the other hits that he sang were Try A Little Tenderness, Everything, Haven’t Met You Yet, That’s All and Save The Last Dance for Me. He also had renditions of Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love, and Backstreet Boys’ Everybody. At one point during the show, Bublé said he learned that the country was going through tough times and so he thought he’d include his own composition, Hold On, in his repertoire. He said he hasn’t sung that song in a long time. He closed the show with Cry Me A River, the first single from his 2009 album Crazy Love. Among the celebrities spotted during the concert were sweethearts Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo, news personalities Julius and Christine Babao, singers Martin Nievera and Erik Santos, celebrity doctors Hayden Kho Jr. and Vicky Belo, former Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon and lawyer Ferdinand Topacio. Bublé previously held concerts in Manila in 2003 and 2005. He is heading to Seoul and Tokyo for the continuation of his “To Be Loved” world tour, which commenced last June 2013 in London www.filipinostarmagazine.com

Crouching Tiger Star Zhang Ziyi Accepted a Marriage Proposal Delivered by a Drone “Witnessed by all, we have experienced happiness and sorrow. I hope Ziyi can always have the happiest time. If we both are old, I can still take care of you,” said Wang, according to Chinese media reports.

C

hinese actress Zhang Ziyi, who turned 36 on Monday, was celebrating her upcoming birthday on Saturday when a white drone flew toward her at the party. Her boyfriend Wang Feng, a Chinese rock singer and composer, retrieved an engagement ring from inside the drone and then got down on one knee and popped the question to Zhang, who was standing by a three-tier, pastel-colored birthday cake and dressed in a oneshoulder red gown.

Zhang welled up and said “I do,” before the newly engaged couple kissed and embraced as the night sky lit up with fireworks, according to Chinese media reports. Zhang’s manager, Ji Lingling, confirmed the engagement news in a text message to The Associated Press on Monday. Zhang shared her answer on her microblogging account on Sunday, with a photo of glittering fireworks in the shape of a heart.

Wang became a household name in China after appearing as a judge of the “Voice of China” singing show in 2013. It will be Zhang’s first marriage and Wang’s third.

Wang, 43, reposted Zhang’s answer five hours later on his own microblog and wrote: “Thank you for giving me

Sam Smith Hauled 4 Major Awards at 2015 Grammy Awards The British singer Sam Smith celebrated after enjoying a fantastic night at the 57th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday. The 22-year-old British singer barely known to American audiences a year ago, won three of the top four prizes, and Beck became the dark-horse victor of album of the year.

Besides those awards, Mr. Smith also won best vocal album, for “In the Lonely Hour,” one of last year’s biggest hits. The record of the year prize is for the recording of a single song, while song of the year is for songwriters.

Mr. Smith took best new artist as well as both record and song of the year for “Stay With Me,” a moody, lovelorn ballad that became a smash on pop radio stations.

Beck’s win, for “Morning Phase,” was a classic Grammy surprise, as the awards’ voters chose a modest-selling but critically admired album in a rock context over bigger pop hits. Among “I want to thank the man who this its competitors were Mr. Smith’s “In record is about,” Mr. Smith said when the Lonely Hour”; Beyoncé’s self-titled, accepting the prize for record of the year. multimedia album; and Ed Sheeran’s

“Sana pagkatapos ko manganak, I will be back,” Melissa Ricks said when asked if she was scared of losing her showbiz career because of her pregnancy. Melissa said, “I was scared na this will probably take more than a year and a half, this whole process— having the baby, losing the weight.” www.filipinostarmagazine.com

“But I believe na I’ve worked really hard to get this far and I have the talent. And hindi man ako ang pinakamagaling, I always do my best,” she added. “It’s such a different feeling. It’s a huge responsibility. Nakakatakot, nakakanerbiyos, but I’m very happy,” Melissa said of her pregnancy. She found out she was carrying a baby seven weeks into her pregnancy. Melissa admitted feeling scared on what people would say about her pregnancy, particularly because no one knew she was in a relationship. “And feeling ko nasira yung mga plano para sa akin, baka madisappoint sila sa akin. But it turned out everyone was happy for me,” Melissa shared. The 24-year-old actress revealed she did not know how her parents would react, but they were supportive of Melissa’s pregnancy. “I really expected a different reaction and I’m thankful na tinanggap nila,” she said. “I’m confirming it. I got engaged last year,” the singer said, after showing off her ring. According to Nikki the proposal happened last December 13, 2014 or 12-13-14. She related that BJ got her parents’ blessing before planning what Nikki thought was a corporate event that she had to attend. Nikki recounted that after BJ’s proposal close friends immediately congratulated her at the venue. “Nang nag-sink in na sa akin, naglabasan na ang mga friends ko.”Nikki explained the reason why she didn’t make the engagement public because BJ is a private citizen and an entrepreneur. “He handles most of his family’s businesses,” she revealed.

Nikki Gil

Announced Engagement to Business BJ Albert

Two years ago, Nikki parted ways with her then boyfriend Billy Crawford disclosing that the latter cheated on her. “There were always a lot of warnings, but I chose to ignore them — I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that it could be done to me. “I’d ask him, ‘Why were you [at this place]?’ Then I’d back off and say, ‘Never mind, I was just asking.’ “You just brush it under the rug, until one day, it all blows up in your face,” said Nikki. In retrospect, Nikki said she could hardly believe it, because she felt that this was the worst thing that somebody could do to someone like her who values faithfulness. “I’m a woman and I protect what’s mine, I don’t touch what’s not mine. “If I were the kind of girl [who’d steal a boyfriend], I’d understand completely, but I cherish those things,” she stressed. Truth be told, news of the breakup of Nikki and Billy in July 2013 shocked the entertainment media and fans alike. They were seen as an ideal couple, and it was hard to imagine how they could end up parting ways. Billy also denied that a third party was involved.

“O, sige! ‘Yan na ang kapintasan ko, boohoo! “People have said, ‘Eh, kasi, lalaki. May pangangailangan.’ My point exactly! “See? Kung yun pala ang issue, [he didn’t really deserve me]. “Nobody told me to stay a virgin, or because I’m a stuck-up prude na holyholy. It’s my choice. “I’ve always been ma-pride—if sex is something that I value, [ganun talaga]!” When she and Billy became a couple, she thought that he had understood her choice from the very start. Nikki exclaimed, “That’s the thing! Hindi!” She came short of saying that Billy was in fact cavorting with other women. “He’d always say, ‘Push! I’m proud of you.’ www.filipinostarmagazine.com

“And I’m like, ‘Wow, you’re so understanding naman.’ Yun pala, e, dot…dot…dot!.” Nikki admitted regretting having invested five years in a relationship that was meant to end, and now took comfort in the fact that they broke up before it was too late. Bj and Nikki have only been in relationship for a year before they got engaged. Nikki explained why she said yes. “Wala yan sa number of years,” she said. Nikki also said that BJ, who is the nephew of singer Joey Albert, have a lot in common with her, the same friends, church friends and they both attended Ateneo De Manila University. A glowing Nikki even sang the lines “You gave me a reason for my being. And I love what I’m feeling” from the APO Hiking Society song “When I Met You” for her fiancé to express how happy she is to be marrying him soon. 23

Nanay Notes: Canned corned beef or even the ones in vacuum sealed packs usually have artificial preservative and food coloring which are known to be cancer causing. Madalas akong magluto ng natural corned beef dahil lalong tumatagal lalong malasa ito. Hindi lang pang breakfast masarap ang corned beef. FEBRUARY HOROSCOPE ASTROTWINS, ASTROLOGY FORECAST It’s like the holidays never ended when the February 3 Full Moon rises. Be the life of the party and rock any social scene or gathering. Obviously, keep things under control and get home safely. The New Moon on February 18 is more private and intimate, but it’s every bit as intense. Everyone will hear what you say and see what you show them. This might involve some closet charity work or a not-so-random act of kindness on your part. The weekend of February 20 to February 22 is steaming hot with romance and passion of all kinds. Play nice!

You own this February 3 Full Moon. Romance sparkles, and you may inadvertently catch someone’s eye and look like the answer to a dream. Flirt with extreme care (especially if you’re already attached). The February 18 New Moon will make crystal clear exactly what you need, what you want, and what you need to do to get it. There will be no indecision. Things may not be easy or fun, but they’ll be simple. Sometimes it feels good to not hesitate. Wednesday, February 25, the Sun conjoins Neptune. Seeing is not believing today, but a spiritual “ah ha” moment is likely.

The February 3 Full Moon might set you up to teach someone a valuable lesson. You may want to wait until asked, but once you decide it’s appropriate, don’t be shy about sharing what you know or what you’ve seen. Home is where your heart is for the February 18 New Moon. It could be an emotional time, and family affairs may intrude more than usual, but it’s still full of love and tender feelings. Don’t get overwhelmed or paralyzed by it all. A Moon/Jupiter sextile on Thursday, February 26, may provide a pleasant cool-down period to end the month.

Make a major improvement at home during the February 3 Full Moon, but don’t curl up and enjoy it right away, as work may be booming with a lucky break of its own. Private home time will be sweet, though. At the New Moon on February 18, you may start playing a bigger role in a social group or association that means a lot to you. It’s probably been on your mind for a while. You don’t have to do it forever. The work week starting Monday, February 23, has challenges with the Sun/Saturn square, but people want to get along with you.

Venus conjoins Neptune in the sign opposite yours on February 1, so any dreams of love will be under heavy scrutiny. You can be very lucky in the most secretive and mysterious of ways under the February 3 Full Moon. If a perfect partner (possibly but not necessarily romantic) doesn’t appear, the image of one might come into focus. The February 18 New Moon may start a lunar month of passionate, magical love. If this sounds like too much excitement, you can downplay your reaction, but the passion won’t go away. If already in a happy relationship, the happiness could get deeper and stronger.

February 3 holds a very serious Full Moon for you, but you don’t have to overreact. If someone more intense than you tries to push their agenda, be firm and don’t get rattled. This, too, shall pass. With the February 18 New Moon, see your immediate neighborhood (and perhaps some friends) in a new light. Is a new restaurant or coffee shop opening? Let a detour or different traffic pattern show you something new and better. Mars trines Saturn on Wednesday, February 25, firing you up to blast through the work week and the rest of the month.

No matter how busy you are, save time for lightweight, frivolous fun with friends around the February 3 Full Moon. It will recharge your emotional batteries, keep you close to home, and even calm you down. Retrograde Mercury turns direct on Wednesday, February 11. Clear thinking gets easier now. The February 18 New Moon will keep you busy at work, possibly doing more for more people. Grow with the extra responsibility, benefit from it, and learn that it isn’t that hard to satisfy all those demands and expectations. Don’t be surprised if some people think you’ve pulled off a magic trick.

The February 3 Full Moon lets you walk into a new social scene and vibrate with precisely the right frequency. A lot of people may work hard just to see you happy. Be gracious and let them please you. The February 18 New Moon is also about you, but in a different way. Resolve to keep some little maddening detail of daily life under control. Pick just one. Recycle junk mail promptly or clear out some other clutter. You can feel virtuous all month. The weekend of February 24 is custom made for love and making passionate connections. If they don’t last, the memories will.

The February 3 Full Moon is all about being lucky in love. If you aren’t craving the perfect lover, you may be deep into some other personal passion. Make the most of this short but intense lucky streak. Around the February 18 New Moon, something started last month (or last year) might finally begin to pay for itself. It may be tiny, but you’ll know there’s life in it and it deserves to continue. Don’t sacrifice necessities on this, but don’t give up just yet. Mercury has been in Aquarius all month. End the month with things making more sense than ever.

You may be preoccupied with money until after the February 3 Full Moon. Be organized and don’t be afraid to adjust that budget. Someone else may have advice for you, if not a random act of kindness. If you don’t take a trip before or during the February 18 New Moon, someone or something special and exotic could come to you. Spend the rest of the month with your perspective changed and your world widened. The February 27 weekend is an emotionally fragile time, so protect your heart. Be tactful and walk away from silly arguments. 26

Be lucky and brilliant at work around the February 3 Full Moon. Don’t stress or overreact, and you’ll possibly see a door open wide for you. If looking, a new or better job might just find you. Mercury goes stationary direct on Wednesday, February 11, with a Scorpio Moon. Others may scramble to resume business as usual, but you’ll already be there. The February 18 New Moon holds some thrills. You could get swept away by a risky gamble or wacky amusement. Don’t spend (or bet) much on it, but sometimes you need a small break from the routine.

Use the first week, especially around the February 3 Full Moon, to get organized and disciplined about your daily routine. Be healthy and habitual. There’s magic in these tiny rituals that will make this a strong period for you. The February 18 New Moon is powerful. Start something that’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime project or effort and watch it take you where you need to be. It’s a special time, so spend it with special people. Wednesday, February 25, may be the spaciest day of the year, with the Sun conjunct Neptune in Pisces. You can cope better than anyone.

Mr. Jerico Magtajas and Dr. Ten Cabusao’s Wedding I on the other hand who was an NBSB (no boyfriend since birth) had my reason, Even before I met him I already prayed to God for 3 signs that a guy must do in order for me to know that he will be my first boyfriend... When we became friends, he was able to do 2 of the 3, shocked and scared at the same time I then stopped waiting for the 3rd, as we were good friends and I was sort of hesitant why was he the one able to do the signs that I prayed for.. But since then everything started to fall into place, as we became closer and became together in 2006. I’m glad too that Jerico was able to meet my dad before he passed away last 2011, Papa even said to him to take care of me when he’s already gone. So 8 years have passed and were still together. It was never the perfect relationship as we know nothing’s perfect. Time, trials, ups and downs has strengthened us. We were both able to graduate and are now professionals in our own chosen fields. I am a practicing Dentist in the Philippines while he was a Police Officer. We were very thankful that we were able to inspire each other to reach our goals, and grew together with God as our center.. January 25, 2014 came, while I was at my Post Grad Orthodontics Preceptorship class, he proposed. And what a surprise it was! We and our loved ones were all happy for our engagement, but in two weeks time he was already about to go to Canada as an immigrant and we’ll be apart for who knows how long??? But we remained t have strong faith in God and to each other, so come April my Visa came too and that’s when we started planning for the wedding even if were apart. He came back to the Philippines at the end of November a month and a few days before the wedding. His mom from California as well as other friends from other countries, like his bestman flew all the way from the Bahamas to the Philippines just to be there on our wedding day. Every hardship we went through was all worth it. And now we are starting a new life together as Mr. And Mrs. Magtajas. Still adjusting especially now that we are here in Canada, But as I have always told him. “As long as we are together and we keep God in the center, no doubt we’ll make it through whatever.” We will take each day as it comes in this new place. *This story was just to give you a little background, para po mas madali kung may idea na about the story. Thank you.

j

erico and I met wayback 2004 in college when we we became classmates during our freshmen year as Pre Dentistry students in Centro Escolar Univeristy Manila. We became friends in a group though we had very different personalities. Jerico as he was known in school was one of the presumed bad boys always with his group of guy friends and some ladies, a party goer, and a people person. while I was a reserved plain jane, who would go to school wearing flat shoes, no make up at all just simple, prim and proper. Even when he shifted his course to BS Psychology a year after, we remained friends or barkada if you may call it. Then on the 3Rd year we started to become closer, even if I already knew his parents, but this time he would refer to me as his special friend when meeting with his parents and our friends. Then time passed we became each others bestfriend, i got to know how caring and loving and sweet he is to his parents especially to his mom, while he got to know me more too, and we became bf/gf. No one at school even our friends would have thought that it was possible, maybe because what they had in mind is that were the exact opposite of each other. People around us had so much to say, but we stood by what we felt.

As long as we are together and we keep God in the center, no doubt we’ll make it through whatever.

Our first dance was a mix of songs. From a slow one which transitioned to fast upbeat songs. So guests feel more loosened up and know that they will have a fun night ahead.
