JM de Guzman & Jesse Mendiola happily back in ‘each other’s arms’ his meeting with Jessy. Ng tanungin ni Vice Ganda kung totoo nga bang ‘Love is sweeter the second time around,” Jesse quickly responded saying, “Yes, sobrang
sweet. Tanggap na ng iba,” According to JM, they first saw each other again after the breakup last August, When asked by Vice if she still loved JM when they met again after the breakup or if her feelings merely developed after the meeting, Jessy said: “Akala ko hindi na.

The couple revealed in ABS-CBN’s late talk night show hosted by Vice Ganda last April 26 that they indeed have reconciled. Weeks prior to the televised announcement, netizens have already started speculating that the two stars have gone back together. JM and Jesse said that they officially became a couple ‘again’ last April 1.

Cover Story
Kris Aquino
as a mother: Loving, very supportive and ‘meddlesome’ to some extent?
I
t’s never alien to us on how Kris Aquino feels for her kids. Every mother knows that one mom cannot just help and hide their being ecstatic, protective, and supportive, to some extent ‘stage-mom’ with their kids… simply because, mothers can’t help it.
To someone who practically grew up with just a mother, late President Corazon Aquino, because the late Senator Benigno Simeon "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. was imprisoned when Kris was just one year and seven months old and wasn’t able to see her father until she was nine years old… then Ninoy was assassinated when Kris was just 12 years old… so to speak, she was only able to spend about three years of her life with her father. Kris knows this all too well, as her fate had it, she bore two loving children (from different fathers—which is not a secret to everyone) and she delivered her job as a mother with such breeze. If you are to observe her, you’ll see that if there’s something she loves the most about her life, amidst all the glitz and glam and high-paying movies and endorsements, her being a mother to Josh, 19 and Bimby, 8 tops her list. What Vice Ganda had to say Kris and Vice uses ‘asawa’ as a term of endearment to one another. Just this December, Kris Aquino co-produced a Metro Manila Film Festival entry movie starring Vice Ganda and her youngest son, Bimby. See what Vice Ganda had to say about Kris Aquino in an article by Inquirer.net: “She often meddled,” quipped comedian-TV host Vice Ganda about Kris Aquino who, he said, frequently visited the set of the movie “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin” to check on her son James “Bimby” Yap Jr. Bimby is in the cast of the action-comedy film, which Kris is co-producing. 6

“Bimby was to speak Chinese on our first shooting day,” the comedian related. “Poor kid wasn’t prepared. He sat down with a Chinese language instructor, while Kris stood nearby. She asked the instructor to cut Bimby’s Chinese lines short. Bimby still couldn’t get it so she asked the instructor to cut the lines further. In the end, Bimby just spoke Tagalog.” Vice Ganda said members of the production team were always on their toes when Kris was around. “She would keep looking at her watch and tell us to work fast. She always brought food. She knows that we all care for Bimby. She is happy when people on the set treat him like a normal kid and not like the nephew of the President.” Mother’s knows best? No, Bimby knows what Mom, Kris wants best Josh and Bimby, in last year’s Mother’s Day special video surprise for their mother, had shared their mom’s real “love, love, love.” Bimby shared, “My mom cook. Momma loves coffee My momma likes to collect My momma loves to collect
loves to everyday. tea cups. frogs.”
Above all, Bimby knows that even if her mom has lots of material stuff and likes, “My mom loves a lot of things but she loves me and Kuya the most. I love you Mama.” Kris Aquino may have gone through a lot of trial and errors, may have said a lot of stuff because she is ‘no-holdsbarred’ kind of woman but one thing she is definite about is, her being a mother, a very loving, supportive, protective and ‘a stage mom’ to some extent at that. Kudos to all the mothers out there and Happy Mother’s Day to all. “When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.”-Sophia Loren, Women and Beauty www.filipinostarmagazine.com

Reconciliation, forgiveness bring peace of mind to Katrina Halili
A
ctress Katrina Halili is now at peace after she reconciled with Dr. Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho.
Six years after she got involved in a scandal with Hayden, she finally patched things up with the latter and his thengirlfriend Vicki. May peace of mind na kami,” Katrina said at the press launch of GMA’s upcoming teleserye “The Rich Man’s Daughter” on Monday. Katrina greeted Dr. Vicki when she chanced upon her during the wedding of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes last December. Now that they have reconciled, Katrina said, “In the future, kung sakaling magkita-kita kami somewhere, hindi ako maiilang kasi naayos na namin ang lahat.” She believes their reconciliation came at the right time because they have already moved on with their lives. “Time na rin na tapusin na natin ’yung issue na iyon kasi mag-iisang dekada na,” she noted. Vicki took to social media last month and posted her photo along with Hayden, Katrina and talent manager Lolit Solis. The doctor to the stars said that forgiveness is not easy, but she realized that bitterness

“enslaves you.” Vicki previously said that she was hurt when the scandal happened because of her closeness to Katrina, who used to be an endorser of her medical aesthetical clinic. “This picture was taken 10 days ago. I always believe in forgiving but I have to admit that it’s not easy. But, if God can forgive us for all our sins who are we not to do the same. Being bitter and unforgiving enslaves you and not the other person . To God be all the glory,” Vicki’s post read. Hayden also posted on Instagram his photo with the two women. “After seven years of enmity, Katrina, Vicki, and myself are now reconciled. And I want to say that just like the restoration of my medical license, the restoration of my relationship with Vicki, Katrina, and many others happened because I first sought to restore my relationship with God,” Hayden wrote. It can be recalled that Katrina filed legal complaints against Hayden, which led to the revocation of his medical license in 2012. His license was reinstated in July 2014. Katrina, meanwhile, wants to keep other details of their reconciliation private. Although the line of communication between her and Vicky has yet to be

Katrina still remains single after her split with her daughter’s father, Kris Lawrence. Still, she maintains good relationship with him. “Okay naman kami. Pumupunta siya, nagkikita kami at nagkaka-usap kami about kay Katie. Hanggang doon na lang ang love story namin,” she said. The sexy single mom is not yet on the lookout for new love. “Sanay na (as single). Simula nu’ng nagkaanak na ako, wala, feeling ko kumpleto na ako,” she said. Still, she feels blessed for having a new project. On “The Rich Man’s Daughter,” she plays the role of Wila Mateo. Her character is a lesbian who is also Althea’s (Glaiza de Castro) ex-girlfriend. Okay naman kasi mas mabibigat ’yung scene nila and ako naman magbabarkada kami, so wala pa akong mabigat na eksena,” she said. “The Rich Man’s Daughter” stars Rhian Ramos, Glaiza de Castro, Luis Alandy, Mike Tan, Chynna Ortaleza, Sheena Halili, Gloria Romero, Paolo Contis, TJ Trinidad, Pauleen Luna, Al Tantay and Tony Mabesa. It premieres May 11 on GMA Telebabad.

eigning Binibining Pilipinas -Universe Pia Wurtzbach was among many Filipino fans who expressed disappointment over Manny Pacquiao’s loss against Floyd Mayweather, Jr. last May 3. With successive posts on Twitter, Wurtzbach said she was shocked and in pain over the judges’ decision that gave the undefeated American boxer his 48th straight win.

Babawi tayo sa Miss Universe!!” Note that this year’s Philippines representative to the Miss Universe pageant, Mary Jean Lastimosa, did not make it to the Top 5, ending the country’s four-year runner-up streak. Several netizens were thrilled with Pia’s candor.
“Ang sakit,” Pia lamented. “Naiinis ako. Nakakagalit! Nakakaiyak. Nakakatulala.” “’Di ko matanggap,” she added.
“I’m positive about this. It’s good to have a strong motivation because if not now, when?
Seemingly bursting with hope, Wurtzbach then promised she will make it up to the nation when she represents
Another responded, “Tama!

“Galingan mo girl, presentation of candidates palang umeksena kana,” one suggested. However, there were those who criticized Pia for putting added pressure on herself. Others advised her not to be too hasty or bold with her declarations. Some noted how Pia lost several times before bagging this year’s Binibining Pilipinas-Universe crown.

EXCLUSIVE: Tina Paner, nagbabalik showbiz!
N
Nami-miss ko ‘yung ‘That’s...’ noon. Nagkita na ba sila ni Lotlot De Leon and if ever, ano kayang mangyayari? May isnaban ba? May confrontation o dedma na lang? “Sa totoo lang, hindi pa. Last naming nagkita nung umalis ako papuntang Spain, 2009 pa ‘yun.

“Kung magkikita man kami?

‘yun
lang!”
May plano ba siyang i-revive muli ang kanyang singing career at open ba siyang muling gumawa ng pelikula? “Tamis Ng Unang Halik Part 2? Sana may producer diyan.
Open ba siyang makipag-relasyong muli? 13

Pinoy celebrities on their Moms Washington Irving, a popular American writer once said, “A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts." That quote holds true to its words as days before Mother’s Day celebration, some Filipino celebrities had openly shared the lessons they have learned from their mothers and their messages to their mothers. Annabelle Rama, tagged as the Guiterrez’s brood’s ‘Momzilla’ had kept mum on
the long-standing feud between her only daughter, Ruffa. Ruffa during her guesting in GMA 7’s ‘The Ryzza Mae Show’ said, “Hello there mommy, nami-miss na kita. Wala na kong nakukuhang messages from you; nakaka-miss naman pero hopefully you’re okay.” And added, “kahit anong mangyari, bali-baliktarin man ang mundo, siyempre nanay pa rin kita.” She also gave out an advice, “At tayong mga anak, minsan kailangan tayo ang makaintindi sa kanila (magulang) minsan.” Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s hot young celebrities also have something to share on the lessons they have learned from their mothers. Daniel Padilla, shared that he’s learned to be himself because of his mother, Karla Estrada, "Natutunan kong maging ako dahil sa nanay ko." While his love team, Kathryn Bernardo owed her being honest and strong to her mom, “Kasi sobrang strong siya. Siguro 'yon ang nakuha sa kanya." Fil-American Gerald Anderson shared how his mom thought him to help those less fortunate people, “Dapat lagging generous sa mga tao kasi napaka-generous ng nanay ko sa mga tao. Feeling ko sa kanya ako nagmana.” ‘Forevermore’ leading lady, Liza Soberano shared, “My mom always taught me how to not to lie and how to be generous to others. Actually there's one thing she told me because we saw this person begging, and she was like I should always give back to the people in need because you'll never know if it's an angel in disguise." Julia Barretto on the other hand said, “Ako? Is to be strong and to have a strong faith in God palagi.”

Harrison Ford: Love through time
B
efore he goes off again on a space adventure via the highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Hollywood icon Harrison Ford is caught in the middle of a whimsical story in the romantic fantasy “Age Of Adaline.” Starring opposite Blake Lively in the title role of a story about a woman who hasn’t aged a day since 29, Ford plays William, Adaline’s fiancé from years back. During the celebration of his 40th wedding anniversary, his son Ellis (Michiel Huisman) brings home a girl and William realizes she looks, sounds and acts exactly like a woman he was in love with 45 years earlier. Imagine the confusion in that. “William is a scientist,” Ford says of his character. “He knows there’s no realistic way this can happen. His wife, played by Kathy Baker, thinks he’s pining for this long-ago romance.” Director Lee Toland Krieger said Ford was his first and only choice to play William. “We needed someone who brought real intelligence to the role and was clearly a heartthrob in his day,” he says. That could be a bit of an understatement because Ford has been making women’s hearts flutter with not
only his role in the “Star Wars” saga as the “scoundrel” Han Solo but also his other famous character, Indiana Jones, whose adventures have spawn four popular films. “Harrison has always been great playing an academic, he also captures the ethereal side of William,” adds Krieger. “This is very different from anything I’ve done before,” says Ford. “It’s one of those movies that is about being transported into a fantasy, but played very realistically. It’s a very clever construction.” If his director and other cast members have nothing but admiration for him (Lively even said she should not have watched the “Indiana Jones” trilogy before shooting with Ford, noting, “He is a brilliant actor and true personal hero”), the actor also heaps praises on his co-stars. “She works very hard at what she is doing and is terrific in the part,” says Ford of Lively. “As an actor, she’s fully prepared, she’s inventive, she’s patient and she’s very generous with the other actors.” He also has good things to say about

Baker, who plays his wife in the movie. “Kathy was terrific in helping make that part of the story come alive,” he notes. Ultimately, Ford has found great joy working on the project, which he describes as “an ambitious movie that has a magical thinking to it.” He adds, “The audience is taken to an extraordinary world, but not the world of high-tech science fiction. It has roots in everyday life plus just enough magic to excite your imagination and open your heart.” Let Ford and the rest of the cast of “Age of Adaline” into your hearts when it opens in local cinemas on May 20

‘Avengers’ sequel is second biggest US opener of all time
L
OS ANGELES (AP) — The Avengers are mighty, but not enough to beat themselves. The Marvel and Disney sequel earned a staggering $187.7 million in its debut weekend, making it the second biggest U.S. opening of all time according to Rentrak estimates Sunday. But “Avengers: Age of Ultron” failed to top the all-time record of the first film’s $207.4 million debut in 2012. This photo provided by Disney/Marvel shows, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man/ Tony Stark in the film, “Avengers: Age Of Ultron.” The movie releases in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2015. (Jay Maidment/ Disney/Marvel via AP) Although “Ultron” was the only new film in wide release this weekend, it had some significant small screen competition: The Kentucky Derby, the NBA playoffs, and the Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao fight. Numbers could shift by the time Monday actuals roll in, but it seems the robust counter-programming may have blockaded another record for Marvel and Disney. Still, for Disney’s head of distribution Dave Hollis, the weekend was a “spectacular
L
result” for the film, which cost a reported $250 million to produce. Playing on 4,276 screens, the audiences for “Ultron’s” debut were 59 percent male and 41 percent under the age of 25. “We’re in rare air here,” said Hollis. “Having the second biggest opening weekend in the history of the movie business is always going to be something you walk away overwhelmingly happy with. The momentum of the brand for Marvel at this point is really something to take a step back and admire.” Marvel and Disney now boast the top three opening weekends of all time with “Avengers” and its sequel taking the top two slots and “Iron Man 3” in third place. Hollis said this is “confirmation” that these films are “bringing a completely different kind of filmmaking to cinema. They’re creating events and characters and building worlds in a way that is drawing the attention of huge crowds.” Rentrak’s Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian agreed that the failure to top the first film is “in no way” a disappointment. “You have to put this into perspective.
Considering the level of competition this weekend in the sporting world, it shows that movie going holds its own against all other options,” he said. Also, while the first film’s $207.4 million haul might just seem like a new benchmark to hit, Dergarabedian was quick to point out that opening above $200 million was “literally like breaking the box office sound barrier.” Instead of a new industry standard, a $200 million opening might continue to be an industry rarity. “Ultron’s” future success is not in doubt either. “These other options were single events. ‘Avengers’ has a very long playing time. This is a journey to $1 billion and beyond,” he said. With $168 million in international sales this weekend, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” has grossed $627 million globally in just 12 days. The film has yet to open in China and Japan. The rest of the top five was populated with holdovers, “The Age of Adaline,” ”Furious 7,” ”Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” and the animated “Home.”
Jude Law wants to be James Bond
OS ANGELES – We were at CinemaCon in Las Vegas when we interviewed the good-looking British actor, Jude Law for “Spy.” “I just did a press conference in the dark,” the 42-year-old actor revealed. “All the lights went, it was hilarious. I should have pretended I was Melissa McCarthy. I would have gotten away with it.” Portraying Bradley Fine, the spy partner of CIA analyst Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) in the Paul Feig action-
comedy film, Jude displays not only his action moves but also his comedy chops alongside Melissa, Rose Byrne, Miranda Hart, Jason Statham, Bobby Cannavale and Allison Janney in the said movie.
As to wanting to be 007, he said, “Sure. It’s a religion in the U.K., James Bond.” He has never auditioned, though. “I don’t think they audition. I think they call.”
So did he ever want to be James Bond or James Mason when he was a kid? “I think the reason I became an actor was because I wanted to be all those things. But I was very much a young boy who would run around in sort of make-believe, made-up environments.”

May mga post ang lovebirds sa kani-kaniyang social media accounts nito showing how happy they are in their new relationship.

may HOROSCOPE ASTROTWINS, ASTROLOGY FORECAST Breakups and endings are in the air on the 4th and 5th, pero hindi siya kasing lungkot at sakit ng inaasahan. When one door closes, what happens? That’s right, may bagong magbubukas. View all endings as what they really are, muling chance para sa pagbabago. You definitely don’t like being told what to do on the 11th and 12th, so anyone who challenges your authority can expect to get an earful in return.
Sobrang gusto mo ba ng bagong laptop? In the market for some new stereo equipment? Phone not have enough storage for you? Shop for new electronic gadgets the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and get the very best price for them. A big romance is in the air on the 6th and 7th, and love at first sight isn’t just possible, it’s probable. So this is what it feels like to be hit with the lightning bolt of love.
You thrive in low-pressure situations on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Stress has the opposite effect, so try to make sure that you don’t put yourself in environments that aren’t healthy for you. You perform random acts of kindness for strangers on the 6th and 7th and even though you might not receive thanks in the traditional sense, your life is somehow better kapag nakakagawa ka ng maganda at mabuti para sa ibang tao.
There’s beauty literally all around you on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, you’ve probably just been too busy to notice it. Open your window to hear the birds singing. Maybe even get a bird book to identify the ones you see. Or, go to the beach and frolic with the waves. Skip down the street while school children point and giggle. Getting back to basic joys and innocent pleasures are what these days are all about.
The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are great days to mix it up. What’s that, you say? You like your comfortable routine? Yes. Very true, Virgo, pero hindi naman masamang mag-experimento, once in awhile. Other people are willing to let you off the hook on the 6th and 7th, but you can’t stand not having any accountability.
Staying put is where your mind’s at on the 4th and 5th. It’s not that you couldn’t make a major move if you had to, but you’re so comfortable where you are that it’s hard to think about making any changes at this juncture. You’re in charge of your own destiny on the 17th and 18th, and lucky for you, your positive attitude will prevail.
Your brain is the focus on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Anything that stimulates you intellectually gets your undivided attention, pero tandaan na hindi lahat ng inumpisahan mo ay matatapos mo. Little tasks are for the little people - and you’re a big shot right now! There’s a weird undercurrent running through the room on the 8th and 9th, but you can’t quite place your finger on why things seem weird. If a friend isn’t going to level with you, then you don’t have much of a shot with strangers.
The fabulous energy of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd carries you onto airy waves of euphoria and way up past any kind of worries and concerns you’ve had in your life lately. May mga problema na maaaring naghihint youy sayo when you get back down to Earth, but for now just enjoy the trip into a stellar galaxy far, far away from home! You do a lot of things out of respect for other people’s time on the 13th and 14th and you expect the same treatment in return.
Halos lahat alam na you are most likely to make an impact on somebody else’s life pero sapat na ba ‘yun? Probably not! Your need to feel socially useful trumps all else on the 4th and 5th, so finding a charity event to attend or a cause to sponsor is your number one priority. You’re determined to throw off all of the limitations that are placed on you on the 10th, 11th, and 12th, and if anyone can succeed despite the incredible odds stacked against them, it’s you.
You’re the biggest homebody of the Zodiac but on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd your home life ay magiging pinakachallenging sa lahat. Which can be a bummer. If you keep working diligently on your close relationships, you’ll reap the benefits eventually. It might be hard to keep your focus among the chaos that surrounds you on the 8th and 9th, so it’s pretty difficult to believe that you’re one of the more focused people around.
You’re a dominant presence on the 3rd and 4th, so what will you do with your newfound power? It’s rare that you come up with a dud of an idea, so pretty much anything you can think of is right on the mark. As long as you use your influence for good and not evil you should be fine! There’s some strangeness hovering around you on the 8th and 9th, and it creates a weird environment for you to try to get things done.
Something crosses your path that seems a little too good to be true on the 6th and 7th, so don’t be surprised when you find out - whoa - it actually was too good to be true! You really do best when you listen to your own voice, because your intuition rarely steers you wrong. You don’t hesitate to do the right thing on the 8th and 9th, and even when everyone else is taking the easy route, you insist on doing things by the book.

Lutong Nanay: Pancake—fluffy and fat loss version By: Mrs. Z.
J
ust a little trivia, did you know that pancakes are considered to be one of the ‘ancient’ foods? Yes, it is. As per world-foodhistory.com, “The word pancakes appears in print as early as 1430. Pancakes may have been around since Neolithic (new stone age) humans domesticated einkorn wheat, ground it into flour mixed with bird’s egg and goat’s milk and poured the batter on a heated rock.” So to speak, meron na nito bago pa magkaron ng gas stoves and ovens. And since then, pancakes had always been one of the staples in breakfast. So here’s my version of pancakes: fat-loss pancakes.
What you’ll need: 1 cup of flour 2 teaspoons baking powder Pinch of himalayan salt 2 tablespoons Xyla 1/2 cup natural whey (1/4 cup diluted in 1/4 cup soda water ) 1 egg (beaten) 2 tablespoons olive oil What you need to do: Mix all dry ingredients. Put in the 1/4 cup whey soda water mixture. Add the egg. Blend well then add the olive oil while mixing it some more. Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat. Use a soup ladle (with a spout) for easy pouring of the batter. Wait until holes are formed before turning the other side. Wait 2-3 minutes to cook.

This recipe makes about 6-8 pancakes.
