FABRIZIO SILEI, the author, was born in Florence, but lives and works in Castelvecchio, a small medieval village in the province of Pistoia. Writer and illustrator, he published his first children's book in 2006. He has received important prizes and awards both in Italy and abroad, and enjoying growing critical acclaim and public. In 2012 was a finalist in Germany of Jugendliteraturpreis and in Italy won the Prize Andersen.
