3 THE GABLES “We have a large family so we were instantly impressed by the size of the house,” says Laura. “We had looked at the property before and unfortunately had missed out, so we went for it straight away when the opportunity arose and it didn’t even make it on to the market.”

Seller Insight “It’s such an amazing home to live in,” says Laura. “We completely and totally fell in love with it. It’s on a private road and the sheer size, combined with the knowledge that it’s totally secure, made it feel like a safe place for my family to live which is my main priority.” “Three Crosses has it all really, it’s got a lovely village feel to it and it’s only a short walk to the school, Church and pub,” says Laura. “We’re a 15-minute drive away from the middle of the Gower with it’s beautiful beaches and Penclawdd is only 10 minutes away too. Oxwich Bay is nearby and has some lovely hotels where you can have lunch or dinner and there’s a restaurant on the beach, it’s so pretty. And of course, Mumbles which is the hotspot for everything, is nearby too.” “The children love to play on the big play centre in the garden which is low maintenance and fully enclosed. The doors in the front room open into the garden, as do the doors in the conservatory, which is perfect for when you are entertaining,” says Laura. “It’s a fantastic house for dinner parties. All the rooms have speakers in the ceiling and you can have different music in different rooms which is great. Our family came to stay at Christmas and there was 14 of us here; everyone stayed over and there was more than enough room for everyone, and actually, there was room to spare!” “My favourite room is the living room,” says Laura. “When the children go to bed, it’s lovely to sit on the sofa and relax with a glass of wine or cup of coffee with my husband, and during the day, I can see the children playing in the garden from in here.” “I love the fact that we’re far enough out of the way not to be bothered by anything but the village is perfect as it has everything you could ask for. At the same time, we’re only a 15-minute drive away from Gower with the best beaches you could ask for.” “We have a games room upstairs which is just great. It’s got a fully fitted bar, a pool table and a projector and cinema screen,” says Laura. “We love to spend time in here with the children, just chilling out on the beanbags, watching a film and eating popcorn. I was bridesmaid for my friend and I had everyone over for food and drink and we had a great time in this room, it was lovely!” “In terms of what I miss most, it’s hard to narrow it down to just one thing! I’ve lived in Three Crosses for around 9 years now and I’ve never felt so safe and secure which is important to me as a mum of 3 children. I miss the village life and that feeling of being in a little cocoon. We’ve actually downsized as we have a young family and we found that we didn’t need that much space at this point in our lives.”
