SELLER INSIGHT

We saw the details of this property on Rightmove and loved the idea of living in a small cul-de-sac in the wonderful village of Whalley. It feels very safe here and we liked the position of the property, as well as the room dimensions and large plot, so we were happy and excited to go ahead with the purchase at the planning stage,” say the owners.

“Whalley has a famous wine bar and a range of cafes and places to eat, including a Michelin starred restaurant. It’s just a short walk into the centre of the village and a 5 minute car journey to the train station from where we can head into Manchester and enjoy everything that it has to offer. Closer to home, the village hall has activities on offer for all ages and there are some excellent schools in the local area. We like food, walking, and going on holiday, so being in the heart of the Ribble Valley works brilliantly for us as there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and walk with our dogs.”

“We have extensively landscaped the garden to create a space where we can relax with drinks and spend time with guests in the lounging area. The rear garden is south facing and gets the sun all day long, and when it gets too hot, the summerhouse offers cool respite and a fabulous view of the house. We have lots of lovely plants to keep us well protected from inclement weather and the stream is a natural attraction for wildlife, so there’s always plenty to look out for, including squirrels, ducks, pheasants, and even a whole family of woodpeckers.”

“The house and garden are made for entertaining and outdoor living. We’ve had lots of good times here, including movie nights with friends and family in the Cinema room. Our outdoor bar and hot tub are used extensively all year round, and the sound system runs through the house and out to the garden, so we can listen to music wherever we are. The kitchen / dining room is the hub of our home where we enjoy sitting around the large island and looking out to the garden but I think my favourite room would be the Red Room at the front of the house. It’s the perfect spot to sit with a good book and cuddle up with our dogs.”*
