This wonderful 5-bedroom family home is made for everyone and all seasons.

From the moment you step inside the front door, the architecture and beauty captivate you. The high ceilings and elegant sash windows of the Georgian wing give a feeling of light and space. They lead into the magnificent beamed rooms of the Tudor wing complete with three working fireplaces. The exquisitely renovated barn style annexe by the pool enjoys a vast reception room with beamed vaulted ceiling and amazing views.

This wonderful house offers so much choice on lifestyle, from working from home to teenage

sleepovers, large gatherings in the garden to intimate dinner parties in the dining room, taking a little boat ride on the lake to walks in the country. In fact, this house will adapt with you as your needs change. With the countryside on your doorstep and horses in the fields at the end of the garden, you have the perfect place to unwind, in the winter in front of a roaring fire and in the summer by the pool.

When you ask the current owners what they love most about their home they will tell you about the strolls around the garden and lake, the glorious summers by the pool entertaining friends and family, watching the wonderful sunsets over fields and farmland, the starlit night skies and the space the house and land has given them all.

It was the beautiful views which first attracted us to the property,” say the current owners of Horsehills Farmhouse. “You can see miles and miles of Surrey countryside from the back garden. The main house is just so pretty inside and out, with the terrific flexibility of four large recepti on rooms. There is plenty of room for the family to come together, but also to have separate spaces for work, music, reading, etc. It is incredibly unusual to have three different styles of building in one - Tudor, Georgian and Barn conversion - whatever your preference, it is here! In addition to all this, the fantastic barn style annexe next to the swimming pool is perfect for entertaining or for having friends and family to stay.”

“This is a home for all seasons,” the owners continue. “In the winter, the drawing room and dining room are idyllic with roaring fires making it very cosy whatever the weather. In the summer, we practically live in the amaz ing barn style annexe – even now we still get the wow factor when we walk in It’s like having a holiday home, complete with pool, stunning landscape and space to enjoy life.”

Outside, the generous gardens serve as an extension of the indoor living accommodation. “We have two acres in total so the garden has many aspects to it,” say the owners. “There is sun all day in the back garden with a large patio by the swimming pool and a smaller one by the main house. The gardens at the front and directly behind the house have a formal lawn and flower beds, and we have a massive less formal garden leading down to the lake with fruit trees and beautiful old trees including oak, eucalyptus and weeping willows. The grounds are perfect and give us the space to en joy family sports events in the garden before tucking into a sumptuous barbec ue and drinks while the sun sets over the distant Surrey Hills. We love spending time outdoors and being able to swim every day in the heated pool in the spring and summer months. In the autumn, we make gallons of delicious apple juice every year from our 7 apple trees, and prepare our pears, plums and apples for the freezer to make winter crumbles and pies.”

The local area has much to offer, too. “The location has been perfect for us,” say the owners, “providing a quiet country lifestyle along with brilliant connections to London by rail and road (M23/M25). The stunning views and amazing sunsets make every day feel relaxed, while the convenience of Gatwick airport makes holidays and business trips so much easier. We’re on the doorstep of Reigate, a beautiful old market town with independent sh ops and lots of great restaurants. There is a great choice when it comes to food shopping – the Tesco Superstore is about 5 minutes’ drive away and there is a large Waitrose in Horley about 10 minutes away. Also within easy reach is Morrisons in Reigate, a Marks and Spencer Food Hall, and a great range of state and private schools.”*
