We replaced the electrics, overhauled the plumbing and where previously there were lots of small rooms with low ceilings, we rejigged the layout by taking down walls to open up the space, and we removed the old ceilings to add height and to reveal the lovely old beams. We also created a spacious two-bed annex and outside we converted an old workshop into a gorgeous studio. The house is now a really comfortable and very spacious multi-generational home. It’s ideal for modern living, but we’ve retained and enhanced all of the lovely old period features so it still has an abundance of character and charm.”

It’s accessed via bi-folding doors that lead out from both the main house and the annex, and we added a stunning oak pagoda over the main patio area so it’s a space that can be used rain or shine.
