GROUND FLOOR ACCOMMODATION • Hallway • Kitchen/Dining Room • Utility Room • Lounge • Bathroom The ground floor offers a wealth of character, from the timber beamed staircase offering a rustic traditional feel, to the contemporary mezzanine landing. An ideal utility or snug.
The kitchen offers fitted units and tops with a Belfast ceramic sink and range style cooker. Seller Insight This charming barn conversion sits in a rural setting in the village of Wolverley. It is an excellent location where you enjoy a tranquil lifestyle, combined with the amenities provided in the large town of Kidderminster, only a few miles away. There is evidence of a building standing on the site since the mid eighteenth century and it was previously used as wheelwright’s work place, a pig sty and a hayloft. The present owner bought the barn as a building project. It was to be transformed into a three bedroom home, which retained and enhanced its original features and character. Working closely with the builder, and using original materials wherever possible, the old building has evolved into an attractive, modern and comfortable home. The three hundred year old oak beams in the house are an appealing link to the history of the building. The pretty, traditional metal framed windows blend seamlessly with the modern kitchen, which is flooded with natural light creating a positive atmosphere. It is ideal for family meals, and there is always the interest of watching passing horses and their riders. It is a summer pleasure to open the door to the lane, sit on the sunny bench, and appreciate the total calm that surrounds you. The modern sun room flows from the kitchen, and with its oak beams and exposed brick is another attractive acknowledgement of the home’s historic roots. With its view to the lawned garden, it is a cosy and relaxing spot to have a coffee on bright, but chilly, winter days. The sitting room is a warm winter retreat and a summer delight, when you can open the windows to the lane. Laid mainly to lawn the garden is easy to maintain and backs onto fields. With its abundant bird life, foxes, badgers and wild life that wander through, it is a nature lover’s paradise. Attwood Barn is an ideal country home, weekend cottage or holiday let. It is the perfect place for a country lover. The owner says the barn conversion was everything she hoped it would be. She has happy memories of its beginnings, and has loved the total peace where you can be a part of the unhurried pace of rural life, plus the wonderful walks that she has enjoyed from the house. These comments are the personal views of the current owner and are included as an insight into life at the property. They have not been independently verified, should not be relied on without verification and do not necessarily reflect the views of the agent.
