Located down a country lane in rural Worcestershire, Bramley Cottage has served as a holiday home to Richard and Lynette for many years, and provided them with a very different environment to their regular home in London.

What attracts them to the house is how organic it feels. The property still has its original brick floors, with two inglenook fireplaces downstairs as well as huge wooden beams going across the ceilings of the bedrooms. Richard and Lynette decided to embrace this style, replacing the plastic windows with more traditional wooden ones. It still has the original handmade wooden staircase. The house now very much reflects its 18th century origins, where it once served as a halfway house for travelling churchgoers.


The front door leads into a charming dining room and lounge with an open brick fireplace, gas burner stove, original beams and French doors leading out to a patio area and garden. The snug has open fireplace with gas burner stove, orginal beams and views out to the countryside.



The cosy study looks out to the garden and the modern kitchen with Belfast sink and wooden work tops is very well presented. There are French patio doors from the kitchen into the garden. A good size utility room with a w.c. is next to the kitchen.




Upstairs via a beautiful wooden staircase there are 3 double bedrooms and one single .The master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, built in wardrobes and wooden beams has a fabulous en-suite.


The other three bedrooms are charming, retaining period features with a modern twist. The family bathroom is bright and finished to a very high standard. There are additional storage cupboards in the upstairs hallway.


Outside, the garden has been well maintained by the owners, with Bramley apple trees, a medieval well, and sitting areas in which to enjoy the garden. There is a raised area that gives the impression that the garden is split into sections and the crescent of small bushes running through the centre adds to that effect. This is where Richard and Lynette enjoyed al fresco dining making the most of the sun late into the evening.


A pretty west-facing garden with a mixture of trees, mature shrubs, flowerbeds, lawn and patio area wrap around the cottage. The well in the garden is one of many features along with paved walkways and a gravel drive for car parking. There is a workshop/storage area next to the utility room accessed from outside.

Feckenham

Location Feckenham is a sought after village located between Alcester and Droitwich Spa. The village has two pubs, one offering fine dining, a primary school, two churches, a garage and an award winning village shop with a cafĂŠ. The cricket club is just behind Bramley cottage and the village has a football club. The Feckenham Odeon is a 2 screen cinema showing block buster movies amongst many other films. Feckenham has excellent access to the M5, M42 and M40. There are good train services to London, Birmingham and Cheltenham from Evesham, Droitwich, Warwick and Worcester.
