Seller Insight Glenruel is a superb, spacious family home in the pleasant rural setting of Tidbury Green village, only a few miles from Solihull. The present owners Mark and Sharon, realised the potential of the house and completely refurbished it to design a home that is both ultra comfortable and a sophisticated entertaining venue. The generous open plan space of the kitchen flows easily into the conservatory, and is the busy heart of the home. The well equipped kitchen is a sociable room, where you can sit at the central island and chat with the cook. The conservatory is the perfect place for homework, relaxation and dining, flooded with natural light, even on the dullest of days. Care was taken in the design to ensure that windows framed attractive garden views. In the conservatory the stunning glass wall pulls you towards the garden. Open the doors in the summer and the garden becomes an extension to the house, as an outside living room. The house is an easy entertaining venue and after a more formal meal, it is perfect to walk into the lounge for drinks and conversation. Whilst the second sitting room allows children to watch their TV programmes; or is a calm space where you can spend some individual time. For the energetic, the garage has been transformed into a state of the art gym, complete with a mirror across one wall, and a wall mounted TV. It also doubles as a study. With four bedrooms the house easily accommodates overnight visitors and the master bedroom has attractive views across the garden. The garden is the jewel in the crown of this lovely property. It has been the setting for numerous parties, when guests can wander through the four different and charming ‘rooms,’ and sit and chat around the fire pit at the top of the garden. It is a child friendly garden; they enjoy harvesting the fruit trees, playing garden football: and its maze like arrangement is perfect for games of make believe.

Cool greys, creams and whites together with the traditional style radiator help to compliment the contemporary style. There are two further goods sized doubles, one with open views to the front and one overlooking the rear gardens. Once in a while you come across a truly “secret garden and Glenruel has just that. A pretty quintessential English country garden which meanders to create a sense of five gardens in one. Benefitting from a southern aspect, the open patio area is beautifully landscaped with mature shrubs to the sides offering total privacy. There is a spacious patio and outdoor dining area house ideal for the BBQ, garden furniture and entertaining. Herb gardens intersperse with Hostas and Ferns to fringe gravelled paths and further open dining areas. The gravel path with inset stepping stones winds down the first garden section past well stoked borders and an abundance of mature shrubbery. The pathway continues either side of the first lawned area which is presided over by a charming arbour seat for two. Moving through a small gate is a lovely woodland area with an excellent wood cutting space and a good sized shed, on the opposite side of the wild flower garden is a delightful summer house, currently carpeted and housing a fridge, kettle, a cosy little settee and chairs, perfect to unwind and grab a tea break from gardening. Following the lawned area around the borders the garden provides plenty of sunlight for fruit and vegetables, raised beds and a fixed glass greenhouse make this an excellent area for gardeners to potter. Vines adorn the lattice fencing breaking up the last couple of sections and further fruit trees mix with mature shrubs and trees. To the very end of the garden is a great sized lawned area, open fields beyond and a fabulous sunken fire pit, complete with a fairy ring of tree stump seats, this garden provides something for everyone to enjoy and is a truly fabulous feature of this charming family home.
