Seller Insight This extremely handsome Georgian-style family home, which was commissioned by the current owners in 2010, occupies arguably one of the most sought after addresses in the West Midlands. “My wife and I had always had a desire and passion to build our own home,” says Paul, “and when we came across this piece of land in such a desirable location it just seemed like the sensible thing to do.” One enters this elegant home into a very grand reception hall, which features a splendid oak central staircase that sweeps both left and right to a galleried landing. It is a truly impressive entrance and a wonderful introduction to the sophisticated style and wonderful sense of space that flows throughout this beautiful home. “When designing the house we knew that we wanted it to be on a grand scale, so all of the rooms are generously proportioned with nice high ceilings and large windows,” continues Paul. “And as we built it for ourselves we have also made sure that all the fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality and that there is great attention to detail throughout.” This exceptional home is enveloped by around an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds. “To the front of the house we have a large, blockpaved driveway,” says Paul, “and then the rest of the garden is laid to lawn. It’s a large space, but easy to maintain, and we have a very mature boundary of shrubs and trees which makes both the house and garden feel very secluded. The majority of the main living areas open onto a beautiful Cotswold Stone terrace, which runs the width of the house, so when the weather is warm there’s a connection between inside and out.” “My favourite part of the house is definitely the snooker room,” says Paul, “but I think my wife would say that for her it’s our lovely big kitchen, which is the real heart of the home. It’s a beautiful room with bespoke units and top-of-the-range appliances, which opens out onto the patio terrace. Also, I have quite a sizable classic car collection and so I had a fantastic underground car showroom built,” says Paul. “It has a scissor lift to take the cars up and down, and the whole thing is extremely secure.” “The reason we wanted to move to this area was because our immediate surroundings are both peaceful and very private,” says Paul, “but at the same time it’s very convenient. The transport links are very good and we’re able to stroll into the village where there are some fabulous restaurants and really nice boutique shops.” These comments are the personal views of the current owner and are included as an insight into life at the property. Luxurious Living The Manor House
An integral garage with electric Silvo doors offers parking for two large cars and houses a bespoke 4-ton vehicle lift and staircase down to basement measuring approximately 4,200 sq ft. This is being used by the current owner as a classic car showroom. It could equally be converted into a luxury leisure complex.
Sophistication & Style The Manor House
The luxurious master bedroom has triple windows overlooking the front gardens, a large well fitted dressing room and an immaculate designer bathroom with Kaldewei steel bath, a deep walk-in shower with glass roof and body jets and Duravit sanitary ware. In addition, there is a wonderful Spanish style balcony accessed from this room and Bedroom Two.
This has been a fabulous home for the past six years, and we will miss absolutely everything about it when the time comes to leave.
Step outside The Manor House
