The Poole family are friendly with the Perrins in the Rhone Valley, proprietors of the legendary Chateau de Beaucastel. Thanks to some well-timed lunches a couple of years back, we managed to arrange NZ exclusivity of their amazing organic red, L’Oustalet. The 2015 was awesome, but 2016 just happened to be the region’s finest vintage since 1990, so this wine is even more silky and unmissable than ever!
Named after the 19th century Wairarapa stalwart for whom Martinborough is named, it's Te Kairanga’s flagship Pinot Noir and on a hot run of form lately.
