Daisy Podmor-Childe Gap Brief

I am suggesting Gap target 18-35 year olds, providing highend aspirational designs to the high-street. Following research I have found an upcoming trend for retro style, my concept is based around this nostalgia inuence bringing back some classic Gap silhouettes. This easy and practical casualwear collection combines workwear and retro spo inuences, appealing to a youthful audience. sports

Appeal: It is believed men are less likely than average to be motivted to buy new clothes because they are discounted or at everyday low prices. Yet many clothing retailers have been focusing too much on discounting to attract shoppers and forgetting that it is actually about the new, exciting products.

Almost three in ten men buy from a high-end designer stores and these tend to be under 45.(Mintel: 2014) This shows many men have high aspirations when buying some of their clothes and are prepared to go upscale to get what they want. Therefore I believe if Gap have the right products at the right time following latest trends this will really drive purchasing and encouage a younger consumer.
