Evaluation I feel I have gained valuable insight while collaborating with the Design for Industr y students as it has given me a different perspective on what other markets may be looking for. I also find that the experience was essential in learning what it is like working with people from different sectors as you would in industr y, and how they go from initial ideas to the final product, and lastly presentation skills. As a learner, I have found that I am a good researcher which helps me form the base of my ideas and was valuable when undertaking group work. This was valued as my role of trend researcher in our group project as I was able to take in other peoples ideas and finding how we can adapt or move on through more in-depth research. Next time to improve my work, I need put more effort into developing my ideas earlier on in the process, as I find I don’t have enough time to fully explore my ideas, which would improve my final outcome. The group work has identified my presentation and problem solving
skills, as it is not necessarily something that would be needed on my course, and was invaluable experience as I do not have to frequently give a professional presentation. My strengths are my researching skills, team work and organisation which was useful when tr ying to organise my group together and answer the brief. I would like to improve on my developing of my ideas, which also may be linked to time management as I often find I come up with ideas when it is too late to explore them, when it would have been beneficial during the final stages.
