‘Escape’ Spring/Summer 2018 By Amelia Rose Wilson Introducing ‘Escape’ a Spring/Summer 2018 sportswear collection. As the urban landscape grows at a worrying pace, city dwellers are becoming increasingly concerned at the consequences of this and subsequently retreat to natural and luscious spaces. The government are gradually introducing garden walls and roofs in cities which offer great benefits to not only the grey, urban landscape, but also dramatically improve air quality and provide a natural habitat for wildlife. More and more tropical and natural spaces are opening to the public, such as cafes, parks and restaurants, which have proven to be very popular. The following collection follows the ‘athleisure’ trend, encouraging those living in cities to comfortably explore lush retreats. Inspiration for print is taken from Sky Garden creating a tropical feel. Alternative, sustainable fabrics and materials are used throughout the collection from bamboo and organic cotton to recycled paper used for the packaging.
