Fashion Futures Reflection. I have found the two projects from this module both challenging and rewarding. I feel that within the first project as a group we really achieved something we were proud of and eager to present within a short space of time. Our trainer design for Lacoste had a strong story with the research to back it up. I strongly believe this came from working well as a team. Another thing we came over as a team was trust skills, through trusting each team member with their job role we were able to progress as needed rather than individually trying to cover all areas, this was a crucial factor worked out in the first couple of weeks. The second project has been enjoyable to work on, as this is an area of interest to me. Through research skills gained from project one I have been able to gather as much information as possible from many different sources. However in the future I need to work on being able to narrow this information down better so that my ideas are communicate well and are clear. The fashion futures module has allowed me to think in a new more innovative way when approaching something different. I feel that I have learnt a lot more about designing for a purpose and a reason. My designs have begun quite conceptual relating to ideas generated from a brief I want to follow. Investigation skills developed over this module will be able to develop these and improve upon them over the coming months making them wearable. From project one to project two, time management has also improved keeping up with the guide made the work doable rather than stressful creating more time to work on presentation skills when trying to achieve well thought out boards.
