MAXIWEAR Keeping fit has become a firm focus for many people in the past 3 years and continues to grow with the influence through social media. In fact, 1 in 7 people have active gym memberships in the UK alone with many people taking up weight training. Bodybuilding has never been so popular and women are taking it very seriously now. I found it necessary to think about the problems gym users may face and focus on creating solutions. Weight training is the second most popular trend in the 2017 fitness survey just behind wearable technology. This project is to create a range of activewear that can maximise successful workouts and can enable people that are weight training to push themselves to a higher level. It’s time to introduce the fitness industry to a new way of working out, a way to push the human body to new levels through innovative design. Creating fashionable activewear that performs and enhances the wearer’s abilities.
Gym Issues: -Barbell can cause irritation when resting on skin if weight is too heavy. -Leggings slipping down when doing squat/lunge movements. -Having to take extra equipment to the gym including resistance bands, ab belts and compression bands. -Gym injuries occurring due to poor technique or not enough support. -Recovery takes too long.
PERFORMANCE WEAR THAT REALLY PERFORMS.
