Cong councillors protest against Dr Somya

Jaipur: A Congress councillor and his supporters on Tuesday raised slogans and protested against the Mayor of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (Greater) Dr Somya. As soon as the mayor reached Malviya Nagar Zone Office, Ward No. 134 councillor Karan Sharma and his supporters started protesting against the mayor over road accidents due to stray animals, poor cleanliness work and the civic body not hearing the complaints made by councillors.

L oP GC Kataria in his question said that in the last 15 years, 33 per cent of the target of increasing greenery by the department has increased by only 0.9 per cent compared to 2019 in 14 districts of the State.
U rban Development Minister Shanti Dhariwal on Tuesday said in the state Assembly that no discrimination is being done regarding development works. Various works of urban development are being done in Malviya Nagar assembly constituency at a cost of about Rs 1,308 crore. Dhariwal was replying to supplementary questions asked in this regard during the Question Hour.

The greenery has decreased 32 square kms in Jalore and in Karauli it decreased by 26 per cent. Hemaram Choudhary said, “There has been a decrease in greenery outside the forest area but there has been shortage in the forest areas.”
Minister of State for Labor Sukhram Vishnoi said that an amount of Rs 32.34 crore has been allocated so far in Chittorgarh district under the schemes of the Labor department. Vishnoi said that the Shubhashakti scheme was closed in the year 2017 by the previous govt. He informed that funds have been given under ten schemes of the Labor Dept in Chittorgarh. He also tabled constituency-wise details of the benefits given in Chittorgarh in the last three years.
