3 minor girls drown, bodies of 2 fished out

Tonk: Three minor girls drowned in a water body in Deoli town of Tonk district on Tuesday. Police informed the deceased has been identified as Kiran Meena (8), Riya Meena (7) and Tina Dhakhad (10).

“The incident took place in Kalyanpura village of Deoli Town on Tuesday. The three girls were returning home from school when they slipped into water body while playing. Tina tried to rescue Kiran and Riya, but she too got drowned and could not swim back,” police said.

“When the girls did not come back family members started the search. Bodies of Riya Meena and Kiran Meena were fished out while Tina is still missing,” police added.

Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra along with his wife Satyavati Mishra offered prayers to Lord Shiva at Raj Rajeshwar Mahadev Temple at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. After this, a program of Paush Bada Prasadi was also organized, in which the Governor was personally present and received Prasadi along with officers and employees.
