HIGH COURT REJECTS EX-IAS UMRAO SALODIA’S PLEA IN CORRUPTION CASE

Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has rejected an application seeking a time of four weeks for argument on cognisance in the matter related to retired IAS officer Umrao Salodia, Harishankar Bhardwaj and others. The time was sought regarding SLP for case transfer to the supreme court. Salodia has expressed apprehension about not getting justice in Rajasthan courts due to the complainant Nanagram Sharma being a retired judge and his son being a judge. The retired officer was accused of corruption when he was the chairman of the Revenue Board in 2012. Harishankar was a member of the board then.

PIL IN SC OVER COAL SHORTAGE IN RAJ, TO BE HEARD IN FEB

Jaipur: Permanent Lok Adalat of Jaipur has expressed displeasure over not presenting the answer in the case related to filth and mismanagement in Galtaji area. Chairman Anoop Kumar Saxena and member Deepak Chachan reprimanded the Municipal corporation officer and directed to submit the reply on February 13. Advocate Manoj Sharma said that Galtaji is the country’s main Vaishnav Peeth.

Delhi: A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the coal shortage in Rajasthan. The PIL was filed by Dinesh Soni. Hearing may be held in the first week of February.

Meanwhile, The power ministry had asked Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra to transport 10-15 per cent of their coal requirement through a combination of land and sea route, also called rail-ship-rail mode.
