Guv: Aware voters help create strong democracy

Jaipur: The 13th National Voters’ Day was celebrated at OTS situated at the JLN Marg on Wednesday. Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath of Constitution and voting to the officers-employees and the public present during the state-level function. Mishra also inaugurated an exhibition based on the journey of elections in India. The Governor also appealed to people to vote and be aware of voting. “

CEO Praveen Gupta, CS Usha Sharma & State Icon of State Election Department Avni Lakhera & other icons were also present. Governor Kalraj Mishra also honoured five District Election Officers for doing good work related to polls. Addressing the State- level function, Chief Secretary

Usha Sharma said, “When I was Ajmer District Collector in 2000, Praveen Gupta was Project Director. With the help of IT, the process has become easier.

Awareness campaigns will have to be organised in colleges and it is good to see that more & more online registration are being done by youths,” the CS said.
